could we get more potion recipes to the alchemy craftmanship?

compared to others crafting skills alchemy looks poor. there are tiers with 4 potions only. :S

im sure you could imagine much more combinations and temporar boosters like for dodge, block, movement speed or so.

even some funny (vanity types) could be there

like temporarily changing appearance or gender for a short period or getting drunk, become smelly...

I am sure there will be a few more potions in the future.

There are still plenty of stats can be slightly increased (dodge, haste, cooldown, critical hit, etc.).

And with special events there may be special potions (turn into the Easter Bunny or into an Easter Egg around Easter perhaps).  ;)

it would be nice to have "inventors workbench" where you could try your own (not listed in alchemy) combinations

as quest reward (or boss drop) you would obtain secret recipe hints and then you try to find out correct combination which works.

I'm wondering why there's no pots between the levels 8-12, 20-24, and 28-32. I don't believe any other Profession has these gaps?

I'm wondering why there's no pots between the levels 8-12, 20-24, and 28-32. I don't believe any other Profession has these gaps?

If we're only looking at the 7 crafting professions then it's obvious why 5 of them won't have those gaps.

Those 5 professions give items for each level (3 types of armor, 1 for weapons and 1 for jewelry).

The other crafting profession is cooking and that one has exactly the same gaps as Alchemy. It does have a few more recipes than alchemy (31 for cooking vs. 24 for alchemy). But most cooking recipes require ingredients from very different gathering professions so they are much harder to make than the recipes in alchemy which require only foraging ingredients.

If we look at gathering professions as well then there are even bigger gaps.

Skinning gives tattered hides for 1-15, and sturdy hides for 16-31. But it also gives sot meat for 1-7, hams for 8-15, and rumps for 16-23.

Prospecting has copper at 1-15, bronze at 16-31 and iron at 32-40.

Foraging has resources at 1-7, 8-15, 16-23, etc.

I think the current gaps aren't that much of a problem.

I would like to see some extra recipes as well, but it doesn't have a high priority for me.

It would be nice if somewhere in the future HCS releases a few new recipes every now and then. This will surely keep alchemy interested for everyone instead of releasing a lot of recipes right now and none in the future.  :)

This is one profession a majority of players will level up as it pretty useful for all classes and has so far been one of the easier skills to level up. Why do we need to bonus this even more?

I think for now the # of recipes is fine, but yes I would say that it could use a bit more. Savan laid it out pretty well, and I'd agree with the comments in the post.

I would also be interesting to make Crop Dust for farming with Alchemy. It's pesticide/ herbicide, so it fits right in with medicine.

Also, perhaps, explosive, poison, slow, etc 'bombs' as throwing weapons to use in combat.

this i was thinking about as well - to have "special" potions as one-time usable thrown bombs aka molotov cocktail :)
