Not sure if this has already been suggested (did a forum search, didn't find it), or already planned, or maybe already there and I just can't find it but...
Lots of mmorpgs I've been playing lately, let you link items you have in the chat system. So people can either hover over, or click on (depending on game), the item in the chat system and see its stats just as you would if you were looking at it from an inventory.

Support, especially at the moment where you have to type the stats of the item you wish to sell into global chat.
If buff or wave to you in passing, it means hello!

People will abuse this feature if implemented, people will just spam the chat with item links and will cause a cluster and chaos.
One suggestion if this is implemented is to create a new chat room just for linking/selling stuff, because being able to spam links in any chat will cause frustration for anyone just chatting with other people. not to mention people selling stuff not related to items that require links.

Every game I've seen with the ability of linking items in chat, have never had the problem of people spamming it in chat. I've never seen this as a problem.
On another note, there should be a chat room for buy/sell nonetheless. With or without linking items in chat.
