There's too much other "effluent" in the caves now, shall we say...

There needs to be either (ideally) a 3rd cave, just for the specials (at a higher fee of course) or some sort of sliding scale that, the more you spend per scavenge the more likely you are to get the creature you want ...

I know I've said this the last two times, but the drop rates are NOT broken.


Maybe not the drop rates, but the spawn(finding a LE) rates are terrible.

Spending 10-11mil gold and only hitting the LE 20-25 times ... How is there nothing wrong with that? Keep the drop rate low, increase the spawn rate please!

Benzoate you make it sound like PvPrs have some sort of 'extra' advantage over players that don't PvP. Correct me if I am wrong, but don't we all have access to the same gear/buffs?

Also you are quite incorrect in your summary of defending. It can be hard to defend against PvP attacks, but that goes both ways. PvPrs don't have extra 'powers' over others.

No it's not. First, adding buffs doesn't make the game more strategic-based, just makes it even more random.
Second, if you like the game and find it challenging, then by all means, play it. Just don't make it something it is not.


Sure if you are going to compare it to other games, I'll have to agree with you. But in Fallen Sword, PvP is more challenging than nearly every other aspect of Fallen Sword. If you are leveling, SE hunting, arena, inventing etc, then you cannot say you avoid PvP because it is too simple.

@ OP:

Most don't like PvP because of the XP/Gold loss. It's really that simple.

Conclusion:
So that's why PvP in FS is so unappealing to me. Not because it costs exp. Not because it costs gold. Those are just insults to the existing injuries. I dislike PvP because it's so very simplistic and very random. Some people may actually like PvP because it's simple and random, but I believe most do not.


Hitting an unbuffed player with crappy gear, sure, that is simple and has its fair share of randomness (2% + enhancements). Hitting a player in decent gear, with even a few basic PvP buffs can be more challenging than PvE, arena, titans etc.

There are plenty of challenging and realistic pvp targets out there that are not too hard to find. You aren't forced to attack the easy ones if you decide to PvP.

Imo it is actually quite the opposite of what you say.

Epics were powerful in stats (other than stam gain) before SH/CoA/CoD. Even with something like this, they'll still be underpowered compared to set items with said buffs.

It comes down to the risk for the reward: Easier pvp target : More stam gain.

You guys are making a problem out of something that is next to non-existant in empirical condition.
So if I got this right, the hypothesis would be:
There is this purple making "scheme" in which people would:

1. Create an alt account
2. Play it until he reach lv.20 - with only 500 stamina, mind you
3. Let it go inactive for 3 months
4. Generate recruiting password thing from his main account to his alt account
4. Log in to his alt account again - after 3 months-, use the password, and play it again for another 50 level
5. Keep logging in for another 20 days
6. And if - the keyword here is IF APPROVED - by the cows, it would get him a total of 360 purple; which by then, he would still have to figure out how to transfer 110 purples to his main account without raising cow's suspicion.

Seriously, which sane person would go all through that? It will take around 4 months to do. So before you even argue the possibility of some retard nerd in doing all that, first you need to ask yourself. Would you do it? And answer it honestly, would YOU do it? Because I am sure as hell I won't.

You make it sound harder than it really is. Sadly the problem lies with already made multies that have 120+days on them, so that knocks off most of the 'work'.

'When the returning player applies your invite code, they will instantly received 30,000 Current Stamina and an epic Phoenix Potion which gives Adept Learner 500 for 48 hours!'

^Destroys the +50lvls part.

So all that is left is logging in on 20 different days. Even for 'just' (each x 5) the 250fsp, that would be worth it to 'some' people.

I would like to see the +30k stam + AL potion given AFTER the player has gained 50 lvls. Then that would truly make it a pain in the arse for someone to level up multi's for this.

How would the tokens work? E.g If we are going to need 100 common tokens to brew a potion, then where will they be stored? Would we have to use them all at once, or could we gradually throw them in the pot and then brew once we have enough?

Needs ironing out, but the idea in general is good. @Bound/un-bound ~ Who the hell cares. Make some of them bound and some of them un-bound.

You've always announced new titans/SE's though, where to find them/what they drop/when they spawn etc is the surprise imo.

They most likely spent alot of time putting it together, why would they release it during an xp event where those at EOC cant blaze through it in an hour?

Really doesn't matter...PvPing is pretty much broken and favors the PvPers. There is no retribution against PvPers who care nothing of losing levels. Bounties are useless in that case (especially), and if they don't care about losing levels, there is NO balance in this game. Only when you stiffen some other game rules -- like forcing players who lose levels to have to retreat to the level they have been de-leveled to (so they can only again hunt at the lower level) -- will there be some balance in the game. And, while you're at it, the second leveling, the Guild should NOT benefit and gain additional XP, or, the guild they are in should LOSE XP when the player loses XP.

And, why the hell doesn't 1st strike, dodge, LD work anyway? With all 3 active, the same player continues to successfully hit! Improve those stats so they are cumulative and can go over 100% -- then there may be some more balance in the game.

So, all this talk about making PvP more balanced is a lot of crock as it favors the PvPer no matter the rules....

A lot of BS...


If the game favors PvP so much, why have most PvP'rs quit? It is posts like yours that have contributed to killing PvP, just continuous bias comments about how 'bad' PvP is.

Come to think of it, your post doesn't even have anything to do with the idea the OP brought forth. Just another stab at PvP to help close the coffin, right?

On topic:

The idea is interesting, but wouldn't have much of an effect on increasing gold theft. There are multiple buffs to increase enhancement levels over 100%, so one for master thief is long overdue imo, which would be more likely to increase gold theft rates.

I can see one possible 'downside' (downside for those that always whine about pvp), which would be relics ~ Players sitting on relics holding gold would be major targets ~ So you are going to have complaints from them.

Pretty much, like i said HCS can not please everyone with events. If it was changed to the date you suggested then other players might be out of town or unavailable and so on and so forth. The point of the AL pot is to give yourself your own personal xp event.


I didn't say change the date. I said a potion given on the date announced, that would last for 24hrs when used - And expire after a week if not - To keep the 'event' part somewhat there.

The AL pots were rewards from the global events. As I recall, we actually had to work for them.

Im not sure on the exact stats but using an AL 500 is a xp event in potion form. So you can already have your own xp event whenever you want. :roll:


So tough luck for those who have been saving those AL500's for such an event, only to find it starting and ending during a period unavailable to them?

Sorry if I'm missing the negative impact it will have on the game that makes you not want it. Any chance you care to share that with us?

Or you can buy an AL 500 pot from the AH or even yet use the pots we gain from the global events. Events are special and will never please everyone. You can make yourself available or wait for the next event.


I was highlighting an idea that was brought up after one of the previous events. Personally I will be able to get on for the event, so it isn't for my own greedy desires.

Like I said - It will reduce lag and result in alot less people complaining about it. Before you say it, no this isn't complaining, this is providing feedback.

@ The idea: The duration of the potion would last 24hrs (less than 48hrs of the event duration) and would expire in a week if not used. What is the problem with that?

A lot of people will be traveling for Christmas or just spending time with loved ones, and maybe it would be best to just do the ''quest'' and put the 2x off till the 28th and 29th. Merry Christmas all :)


Or like I previously mentioned in this thread: Double xp potion each player receives - Duration 24hrs - If it isn't used within a week it expires (so a countdown timer on it).

^For those who wont be able to get on during the 21st/22nd + Lower amount of lag.

Mega Content Update

We'll be releasing a mega content update before Christmas which will include 50 levels of new content. This will be a heavily themed linked story arc which we feel will be challenging. We've also got a normal 10 level content update going live next week.


Why cant we have a release a prisoner type of day, once a month, when we can send a banned player an invte for a second chance.

If they do well for 60 days they stay, if they f... up again the whole game suffers a 10% exp loss for all hunting for 60 days.

This game seems to drip medieval or dark ages times aura about it, some people want to play again.

Is a good idea, may need some polishing.
