those 2 buffs actually make it semi fair if you actually are hitting buffed targets....there alot of various ranges where people have insane armor/defense stats. just because something is effective in 1 range doesn't make it best for all of them

The buffs are not overpowered.

I tried the armor buff and came to:
Attack: 10615 (+4973) Defense: 71 (+65)
Armor: 12658 (+4802) Damage: 13979

Defense buff:
Attack: 22117 (+11872) Defense: 12238 (+5204)
Armor: 79 (+75) Damage: 7082 (+3682)

They are easily beatable.


When will we see the other buffs implemented? I WANTED TO BE TRENDY. :P

Exactly ! pvp not supposed to be 1 or 2 hitting
long combat more interesting


is that 1-2-3-4x SW/AB bonus? because simple math says 34% increase to stats with a 4x SW/AB bonus...you don't feel thats over powered? and you guys have to factor in other ranges besides your own. I know my ladder range is primarily defense based....add in dispel curse,flinch,SW,barricade,nmv and I'd have to go suicide to pull the 8k attack needed WITH dark curse to break thru my opponents defense.

shield wall = 34% increase to defense (if 4 sets equipped...which is uber easy)...with dispel curse and flinch don't you think this is a wee bit over powered?

same with armor boost.... 34% increase? really....nobody feels that adding 1/3 to armor/def is over powered?

ok my thoughts....

"hardened"- you want to give an anti-shatter armor buff? the activation rate of shatter armor is what... 8.75% max? so whats the chances of this buff activating at the same time that shatter armor does or would?

"Armor boost"-not a bad idea....will be interesting to see how crazy the armor sets higher up get. (ive already seen 50k+ armor before sanct/entrench/etc)

the rest I have no use for...and probably wouldn't even waste my skill points,fsp,gold or time on.

the huge list of buffs/pots you had was very promising. especially if added thru out all the levels on the skill tree.

it would be nice to something enticing me to get to lvl 400+ as it is I can steal 20k gold and buy KE175...so thats not much motivation

Could you imagine a defense setup, with Const, NMV, Barricade, and Flinch, with your opponent using a DC that's only HALF as powerful as it used to be?


Yes, and it still would be really easy to get through those defences.


I guess it depends on the level range. At lower levels especially, Defense rocks anything else. I can get close to (if not more than) 10k Defense, and could safe hit someone in Suicide all day.


It's different at different ranges but I agree. There are ranges where no amount of attack will be large enough to break thru opponents defenses WITHOUT dark curse....

If the activation % was lower to say .1% per point ( 17.5% chance instead of the current 35% chance) AND if Dispel curse was tweaked to negate a % of the dark curse buff ( not the entire buff), it could be possibly still strong enough but also beatable.

Example :
It could be .1% chance to Reduce the effectiveness of opponents dark curse skill by 50%.

So someones dc175 would become dc 88, dc 200 would become dc 100, etc etc.

Right now there is the very powerful Dispel Curse that can counter the incredibly powerful Dark Curse.

Dark Curse makes defense pointless in many situations. Dispel Curse makes PvP (when in defense) a lottery.
I would say both Dark Curse and Dispel Curse need a bit of tweaking down.

Dark Curse could be reduced from 0.2% per point to 0.1% per point.
[*:3lqajrfo]Then the level 175 buff will reduce the opponent's defense with 17.5% (82.5% defense left).
[*:3lqajrfo]And the level 225 potion will reduce the opponent's defense with 22.5% (77.5% defense left).
The buff Dispel Curse is then less needed. It could either be:
[*:3lqajrfo]Removed,
[*:3lqajrfo]Lowered to a 17.5% chance to ignore Dark Curse, or
[*:3lqajrfo]Changed so it always activates but only reduces Dark Curse somewhat (for example a 43.75% reduction of the opponent's Dark Curse at level 175).


Defense is already overpowered in alot of ranges, reducing DC now would only make that worse, especially due to the new buff to Defense that (might be) coming out with the next set of buffs.



I agree. Defense is still VERY powerful in some ranges and reducing dark curse would be a poor choice. With the new buff to increase defense coming out I agree this would just make it more over powered

something like this or maybe .1% chance to reduce DC level by 25%,

perfect time to change it with most likely a free buff reset coming so people could drop it and not feel ripped off if they already have it or after they reset their skill points.


I like this idea. seems a lot less over powered and fair compromise

can we get an anti-dispel curse buff? this is an absolutely ridiculous buff. anytime this activates and someone is in a defense set it is a win button...and with an activation rate of 35%(I seem to think its a bit higher) its beyond over powered. and with the addition of defense and armor boosting buffs this is just going to become even more over powered


Honestly, I could see removing this buff. I would also make DC only 1/2 as effective in pvp or make it PVE only. that would make Defense worthwhile again?




problem with reducing or removing DC from pvp is that most defense and NMV set ups are pretty close to untouchable...my ladder is very defense based and I can personally tell you without DC it would be a battle of 2% about 90% of the time. Defense is plenty powerful especially with the new buffs coming out to boost it even more.

The people and community are what make this game great. I've participated in almost every aspect of the game in my time playing. I've made many great friends and quite frankly if they weren't around I wouldn't be either. I agree with budro above me. Sending an email to players to inform them of changes made and incentives to come back would be a great way to start. I know many who have simply quit playing out of frustration after updates to pvp,gvg,bh'n,titans,etc. and alot of the issues have been addressed now. Are they perfect but they're better than they were.


Edit*-while you're sending emails out you should look into previously terminated accounts. Some accounts were terminated for minor offenses and others major. want a return in players? look into bringing back some of the minor offenders. I've seen quite a few terminated players return lately so I don't see how this could be an issue
