I am a bit surprised to see that players are "concerned" about the name "Blood", this is sensitivity in its extreme. 

 

Have I been playing a different game then them.  We kill creature, sell heads and other body parts... make potions out of body parts ...  make sets from body parts... and even blood is used in inventing... and players don't like the term blood points?

 

Search AH for items with Blood in their name or search blood in wiki... better yet search the players BP that are sensitive to the term for any item named or made from "body parts"  or "blood" and take the sets away from them as they are made from "negative, uncouth, distasteful, and without class"  parts of the game.    I bet they used the Brides set at those levels.

 

Make the name whatever,  Blood is as good as any name!!

I really am not qualified to advise on BB... I barely have the bronze BH medal after all these years, you know how it is 9, 100 stamina hits and leave the bounty active for more mates to hit. 

 

I just want a good and fair system .. no advantages to attacker nor defender none to PvP players nor Leveling players UNLESS a PvP level or PvPXP bonus gives an advantage to the higher level (experience) player.  :) Must have a punitive action and if the cows give nice rewards for PvPXP players will want it and not want to lose it.

 

To be honest I am afraid that players will try and make changes that they can exploit.   Seem to happen alot.

Back a long time ago i tried to clear a PvP player who was online... it was very difficult.  He was very good at switching setups on me... I understand what you are saying. Just did not think anyone could lose 10 while attacking but my experience is very limited

Justinian, the tokens can only get so many things, a poor list indeed.  The items continue to decline in value.  There needs to be much more to spend them on.... right now, I have so many it's not even funny, and I opted out a long time ago....  Hopefully this new system can boost the timeline on further developments with ladder and arena rewards.... I genuinely hope so 

I have no issue with improving the ladder token rewards... but i do have an issue with players getting higher then a 1 for 1 exchange... and maybe it should be lower. I have around 300 tokens... a good amount for me as I only play ladder sometimes

OK if i might put my 2 cents in, i think we should have both. The player should ALWAYS have the ability to bounty a hit as usual, but for those who dont want to spend the gold.....well then they can sit back and know the auto bounty will kick in. Having said that if you clear a bounty off the board that was posted by a player, you can be countered, and if you clear one posted by the game you cant. Maybe bounty hits should not go towards the auto bounty total, since a bounty hunter is providing a service

 

Since we are changing the BB i think if i win 10 before the hunter, then they should get disqualified forfiting their entry (gold sink HCS) and i also think a hunter should loose xp, pvpxp....whatever we loose, when they loose a combat.....this requireing more skill and less fire at will

If I understand you correctly:

 

Auto-list would be abused .. why list someone if it will auto list.  And all bounties should cost gold or FSP hence the name bounty.

 

Counter bounties will be abused if allowed.  So unless you guys want a never ending bounty process going on.  If you have a BB war you will get to list the player from hits he makes on bounties placed by his friends and mates. 

 

I kinda like the idea if I lose 10 times attacking a player on the BB i lose the bounty.  But I am not as experienced on the BB... Who loses 10 attacks?  Are they new players trying to learn Or are they just lower level player hoping for the 2% rule to kick in so they can brag?

The game allows for hourly hits, but HCS has deemed that 'bully' tactics, so it's not really allowed. The rules just say it is.....

True, however so is de-leveling every player that hits you but we all would agree that is not logical nor right.

im quite aware that tangtop and the others wrote it, i was in PANIC with him and helped advise him on changes to it, however it did pick up their slack and now since they have lost all the players who wrote it and maintained it, it is obseleat. meaning that the cows need to fix all the stuff that it used to since many prefer the interface with its chages, and might also like to ubdate FF someday

That being said, as much as I love the Helper It is not HCS responsibility to keep a user script up-to-date.  They are trying to incorporate the helper but as we all know the quick buff update was not as good as helper.

 

However, all things wrong in game are not HCS and levelers fault.  Players (of all aspects of the game) have exploited every thing they can for personal gain.  Not HCS fault that human nature is...  faulty and players are greedy.

 

But we are off topic and I should not have even responded as our posts have added nothing to the topic.

IF it changes, it will be to protect people with big mouths from getting punched in them, and then using that same big mouth to pester and cry to the developers. Keeping them from working on the many game flaws that have needed fixed for years or releasing new buffs for the content they have now.

 

Helper is antiquainted (no longer fixing the games shortcomings), content release is slow, leveling can be done WAY too fast....im sure there are many more to list im just tired of reducing myself to this level and allowing you to beat me up with experience.....iv said my piece

The helper is not HCS code.

I think you should have a right to bounty players that hit you on the BB!   I don't think you should be able to bounty the player that listed you.

 

I like the current system... 48 hours time to list players.

 

If I attack wil72 with 10 stam or 100 stam I am still taking PvPXP from him and i think he should have a right to bounty me.

Why do others who don't participate in PvP want to continue to change it? I doubt half the people here who suggested a change would even participate after the change.  I'd rather have this current system than most of the things suggested. Every single time PvP has to be changed.  Leave it alone! 

Did a leveler start this discussion?

 

Do PvPers comment on changes to leveling aspects of the game?

Questions:

 

These questions are for real, if I am misunderstanding please correct me.

 

If the game lists the hitter how do you setup players to smite him when listed?

 

If i am PvPing all I need is an allie watching the BB to soft kill me when i reach the auto-list thrush hold? And if you want to be really evil, I would be able to counter bounty this player for an auto-list and my allies can then pound him.  Auto bounty would kick in and list my allies that hit said players and we would all soft kill each other or not and auto bounty would list said player for each counter bounty?  I see no end to what I could do to an offline players PvP level.

 

Am I misunderstanding the counter bounty with an auto-list?

Don't matter how much we talk, Grim already made his choice clearily.

Just one thing, taking XP is one of the few things that are infinite, XP always will have the same value, that's why PvPers play the game after 7 years.

What you believe will happen after 1-2 months of that new release comes aboard?
All the rewards will have 0 value, people will not hit anyone, and only a few PvPers will stay playing without any payment.

The Items, Potions or whatever you want to give as rewards will not worth much after few months, XP keep the same value since 2007. 

Please, explain us what are you planning to do with that equation, are you going to release new prizes every 2 months? are you giving us the ability to change PvP Rating for FSP? 

If I am hit on the BB with a 100 stamina hit and I lose 20 million XP.  What is the value a PvPer  receives from that?

With as much negative feedback there is about removing xp loss on the other thread, I think (and hope) it doesn't go ahead. If it did, this could be an interesting alternative. At the same time, I can see some issues..

 

Firstly, it's an instant opt-out button for those levelers who never pvp (or would they still be attackable regardless of having no PVPXP?)

It would attract massive point farming by those people who only attack their friends or pay their victims (Much like we had with the smasher medal)

Not to mention the crying that will surely ensue from players being forced to PvP in order to gain the rewards. <~ And that is what seems to be Grim's biggest issue, and why he's thinking of making such a drastic change. Fact is; someone is going to complain no matter what they do. & I remember a time when the cows were more interested in making pvpers and levelers co-exist happily, rather than finding more ways to separate them.

 

As I'm firmly against removing the xp loss from pvp, I feel there has to be a less drastic way of dealing with the bullying issues, or just leave everything as is and continue to deal with instances of bullying on a case-by-case basis.

If I want better leveling buffs I am forced to level... if a leveler wants the PvP buffs or sets from PvP side, they must buy them from those that PvP or PvP themselves.  Sounds just like the leveling side... i see no issue

There's one consideration that I've not seen here.  While I have always felt it honorable to stand up for my guildmates and friends, I always have to know why and I have to agree that the situation is warranted.  Once in a while and for some folks more than that, we do dumb things - fingers fly a little too friendly and judgement not enough.

There have been guildmates, fortunately no longer at The Highwaymen, that would get PvP'd for gold or xp and they were quick to send insults and threats to the PvPer, and even do some very dirty tricks, but they would not stand up for themselves when they had the opportunity yet expected the guild to stand up for them when they had blown a random hit into a major incident.  These same folks consistently were never there for anyone else as they cherished their levels.

I find that usually when someone has a legitimate case that people do rally round and do their best to ensure justice is done.

I think we both agree on this subject.

 

I know that in FK only leadership could call a de-leveling party and leadership would call on allies if needed.  Leadership always ask about the hit, and I see this in WAL as well.  In general we all know hits will occur... I have been hit an do nothing... sometimes i bounty and sometimes I hit back... just depends on how I feel at the time.

 

Some levelers want a de-leveling party for a 10 stamina hit and act like they lost a leg or arm.  I know as I have seen it... I can only speak to my time in Forsaken Kings and limited time in WAL. I have never seen a party called  unless the players was pounded or lost a large amount of gold. 

 

 I think a pounding should be given when needed not for every offense.

I hope all concerned know that I did not start this post to degrade anyone concerning their game play.  I have just been spending time watching the BB and noted that bounties placed by levelers (and even PvPers) had little to no results, so I typed up my thoughts, opinions  and questions and started a forum discussion.

 

The way we choose to play the game is up to each player. Players relationship in their guild is between the player and his mates not I.  Any post I make is not meant to insult anyone nor to degrade their game play. 

 

I am a very direct person and my directness can be perceived as an insult when i type my thoughts.

Again, I would never ask a guildmate or even another guild to "punish" a player I was having a problem with. I was hit multiple times by a single player during a short period. Was my attacker going to be upset if I brought in a whole bunch of people to delevel him? Nope. That player was in a strong pvp guild and it was their MO to stay within a certain level range and would have loved nothing more then a war. They had no interest in leveling beyond that range. How do I know this? That player was frequently on the BB and still at that same range today. Playing right into their playing style and assisting and making them and their allies richer is not standing up. It's madness. Who has a stomach for an elongated war? Not true levelers. You can call it selfish but that is my play style. I deal with issues with other players on my own. I do not run and cry to my guild.

There have always been those among us that did not defend mates but there was always a core inside a crew that did what needed to be done. Not all complaints  to leadership from mates concerning hits on them is crying.
