Would have to agree wholeheartedly there ... since SH and such came out, the crystalline items in the chests have become next to useless (for anything other than composing) and the costs of opening said chests is pretty darned expensive.
The chests are in dire need of a revamp - and, theoretically at least, this should be pretty easy to accomplish ? - the only item I know of in ANY of the chests with any value now is the RF400 potion ??
+1. I'd be less inclined to lower the chest cost as I feel it might be an injustice to those who have actually paid the gold/loyalty tokens for the higher chests (me not included), but I'm all for a revamp of those items. I'm thinking maybe a new set or that comes out of the chests, maybe one per chest tier?

While I know this is a long way off from implementing with composing and all still to come out, I'm sure something like this could be worth the development time.
In my *humble* opinion one of the biggest issues in this game is the lack of a level cap. This fundamental difference in FS vs other games is, while a defining characteristic, also one of the greatest downfalls in certain aspects of the game. The large level cap at EOC has allowed for a huge disparity between new players and old players, one that a new player can basically NEVER hope to achieve in many years of playing (I've been playing for 5 years and I'm not even half way there, XP wise). This is demotivating in a large sense, and possibly the reason for a low retention rate of new players (as it seems).
We have titans which come close to providing a suitable experience with a level playing field - however, there is a big flaw in that after using stamina to hunt a single (or maybe two) titans, you are left with little that you can do.
What I would like to see is a way to equalize all players across the board, similar to the arena. I'm proposing a revolutionary new aspect of gameplay that is sure to keep people interested
. Imagine being able to even out the playing field by giving everyone, regardless of level, the same stats, buffs, gear, etc.
Let's implement the classic game of Castle Wars in FS. Every 10 minutes or so a new game starts (for which you can register in the previous 10 minutes), and then you're eligible to play in the next round. Each round begins by auto-dividing players into 2 teams. Players are equipped with special Castle Wars gear with equal stats - gear can be upgraded by playing multiple rounds of castle wars, winning, and performing other things that would qualify as achievements.
The game would be played on a modified version of the world map. Each team gets a "castle", which is basically a giant structure on either side of the realm with some amount of health. Players can attack the opposing team's castle, kill players of the opposing team (forcing them to their own side again). The catch is that the player attacking must be on the same square as the player being attacked. Once attacked, a player is immobilized for say, two seconds. Should a player make it to the other side's castle and begin attacking, they can continue to do so until they are killed. Players can be attacked on either side of the field - though players get a stat bonus on their side which is lost when crossing over to the other team's side. Player HP starts at a certain value every respawn, which is drained through combat.
The various gear players own will determine strategy in this game - "tanks" can have higher stats but slower movement speeds (a longer delay between movement), while "scouts" or something similar can have higher movement speeds but basically 0 stats. Finally normal players can have normal of both.
The endgame is the loss of a castle - the team who causes the opposing teams' castle to fall first wins the round. The players are then forced out of the realm back to the realm they came from, and the new game begins after rewards are handed out. Rewards might include some form of tokens, with which players can customize the gear they own (which is swapped only at the beginning of the game, when registering), as well as various buffs which can be used either in the game or in the actual FS world.
Please post your suggestions as this is a very crude idea and due for some refinement and/or explanation.

what has level got to with amount of stam a person has
Well, generally speaking when you get to EOC you don't really have much to do with your FSP. You can continue to level basically off of natural stam gen and stay pretty much at EOC ... so from what I've seen most players choose to massively upgrade their stam banks. That means that at any given time, there's a higher probability that they'll have tons of stam on hand, as you do. This isn't really the case at the lower levels.

Hoof, is there a minimum size for the creatures to spawn in?
Edit: for those wondering, minimum size is 8 x 8.

Bump. This might be something to consider for next weekend and/or the week after as a start. Would be more interesting than a scavenging event and accessible to nearly all

yeah but not everyone can afford to break legendary items
so this will allow everyone to enjoy this, no?
plus its not said it should be 3:1 its just an example
it can be 10:1, cows decide that
That's basically the point. It was designed this way for some things to be exclusive ... for example, you don't go around asking to be able to combine common items to make various LE sets like spidragon or whatever ... why should you be allowed to do the same with fragments?

Sort of defeats the point of having unique fragments - it's a lot easier to get 3 common fragments vs getting one legendary fragment.

Also if HCS are planning to release popular LE critters (for example: frost dragon, tevaer the guardian)... can you release many at once please? Not for my benefit but if many are released then there won't be such a huge number of people going for the same creature, so the markets wouldn't be as flooded.

Aren't you going to cycle out 2 other SE's Grim? I thought that was what would happen, 2 SE's come back - 2 disappear.

With the introduction of Composing, I don't see why these old timers can't reappear. Been meaning to bring em back for a while.
Looks like I better clean out my stores then ... can't let the prices fall before I sell my stuff

That looks pretty durned complete. Yeah, you'll see very few Realm based LEs from 600 odd up. Mostly new ones were introduced in the caves as we only had to do one or two. It was good for plugging gaps. For fully fledged Realm events, could well see more new beasties across all levels.
I've already said repeatedly that we will not do an 'All Creature' event. 7 to a max of 16 will be released at any one time, otherwise it gets ridiculous. The idea is that we could hold smaller events often.
Thanks grim. I'm not quite sure new LEs at the VERY (ie sub 200) low levels are necessary - there's already a LOT of gear that makes the game a bit overwhelming at first. It might be better for both parties to have rereleases of low level creatures, and start throwing in some newer higher level creatures
. Would be slightly less work on content devs/artists, and while there would be a little complaining from the lower leveled players, I think it might work out better for the game.
As for the event, I'm all for a 7 to 16 LE event. It probably becomes pointless to have more creatures anyway - I mean, think about it ... if 5 LEs are released each week, you can spend more stamina hunting them, vs just getting one event where you must choose. Remember people, composing probably isn't coming out in a week
.
ps. if you need an idea for a new LE creature, you can call it the "Spawn of the Crazed Merchant".

Well... Guild Members may share and send each other the guild tagged items so... I think we could only send our allies (listed on our profile as friends) our personal tagged items. What about?
Guild tagging was a pretty devastating shock to the economy when it was introduced. Think about it - even taking 3 maxed guilds, that's now nearly 375 players that don't need to buy their own gear, and so instead of 375 pieces of a various gear needed, you're down to 3-6. Of course that's assuming that everyone's the same level, but it helps make a point. What might end up happening is players creating a new "player" as a guild storage structure - 5 FSP per member (vs 15 or whatever), and 15 FSP a bp slot (vs 50). I see a problem.
