#836614 Buff Marketplace

Posted by FallnBlood on 01 January 2014 - 21:20 in General Discussion

Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but how about before you go adding new features to the game, fix the old ones? Since the update to the game, the quick wear and quick drink potions are gone. putting any gear on or drinking a potion takes a complete refresh of the browser page. I'd rather see those back before any buff shop. Just saying

+1

it goes directly into your bank, not your purse.

Right, so player A is out of bank deposits, they send their gold to their friend player B and ask them to purchase their buffs, player B purchase the buffs and the gold goes to player A's bank. Aren't you creating a major exploit there?

I like the suggestion made by mizare. Keep the buffer's name hiden on the marketplace, but show it on the Logs when the buffs are cast. That should solve the problem regarding gold thieves.

And if there's a particular person you don't want to sell your buffs to, then maybe add some kind of a Black list where you can add the name of the player who can't buy your buffs. This could also be a solution to the gold thieves instead of the suggestion above. Just add the player who bought your buffs to the black list so they can't ask for them again to trick you into a gold stealing trap.

On the negative side, this might just change the nature of buff-thieves rather than do away with them.

If gold needs to be held in hand to buy buffs with this mechanism, then I could imagine a class of rogue that offers to sell buffs for gold, and then they (or their friends) make a PVP hit before the buffs actually get cast (simply by delaying on agreement to sell the buffs).

In that case, it will have to be a fully automatic system, so the buff seller will not need to accept the request. Therefore, the "rogue" players will never get a chance to know when or who will ask for buffs.

Create an easily searchable way to find players who are online and offering to sell buffs. This would also include creating a new interface to define which buffs you are selling and at what price (gold/FSP). The player wanting the buffs would be able to send a request via this page and if accepted by the other player the buffs would then be applied and the gold/FSP would be automatically transferred.

What if someone would like the buffs to be Extended and Reinforced? Could you add an option to send a request to the player to cast these two buffs on themselves? Also, how would Buff Master/Guild Buffer work with this?

Is there anything in particular you would like to see added to this feature in addition to the above?

Buff packs would be great. Also it would be helpful if we could see the buffer's current Sustain and the level of his guild's Mage Tower on the same page where we request the buffs from.

#827807 De-leveling Change Poll

I really don't care about anything unless it is hurting someone. Speaking of which, don't counter players if they don't use 100 stamina when they hunt your bounty. That's just easily unfair for regular bounty hunters.

I think we should forget all about the EXP exploit thingy for now and focus on this thing first instead. Bounty hunters are getting abused out there.
