3) After engaging an enemy autohits should be automatic till fight is over. Any game these days work like that. it´s the same with ressource gathering. without this comfort most players who play occasionally the big mmorpg titles wont play/stay
4) they did DPS perfectly right. The damage of all weapons is different!!
but due to hitspeed they come down to the same dps - which is ok (easier to balance something if needed)
That said Warrior/Assassin combo hits like a truck with 2Hand - highest Damage in the game - and it´s needed.
On the other side it is harder to get all hits out compared to Dual-wielders, because attack is slow and fast meelee enemies rip you down easy. So you need a good mix of different skill.
So dualwield (axe/sword) is maybe a better meelee choice.
Assassin can DoT enemies down while kiting and easily rip anything (especially with buff from warrior combo)
Ranger is allround build i think. Due to Pet and at least Medium Armor at later levels much more survivability than others.
Mage is maybe more a group oriented pure DD, but can also Kill anything - as long there is mana ;( For Bosses i would rate Ranger stronger.
The Prophet is a pure Healbot - group support. For soloplay best mixed with Mage. Some low skills benefit mage alot.
Templar is also mainly a group tank - a defensice Wall ofc , but still third rate in killspeed.. - therefor almost undying.
From my experience ranged are much better in this game - faster exp, faster lvling, good survivability and NOT armor/item dependant like meelee - good bow/essence/trown weapon is enough.

3) Reason I put this up is because for me, I like to multitask so I like to be on two games or two accounts at once so if there is an option of autohit for me, it would definitely make my gameplay much more better for me. And no just because of an autohit a player wont stay? have u seen Runescape before the ability was introduced? People still play because they enjoy it and loyal players. Not only that, other games have auto hit and people keep playing because they enjoy the game.
4) I can't say much because I am not that deep into the game though I do want to say this...Assassins are all about speed and high critical damage. Assassin speed/high DPS and critical chance replace what assassin lack off in damage, assassin high dodge rate/evasion made up what assassin lack off in defense. If all dagger, sword, and axe is at 1.66 speed with dagger being the lowest damage then what is the point of having a dagger in the game? What is the point of being an assassin who is specialize in speed? Heck, what is the point of having different classes if we are not going to utilize our specialty? That why I said that I don't think HC know the definition of DPS.
