One thing you should do with regards to pvp rating, is remove the transfer of it from the board, or at least limit it to only being transferred within a certain level range. In the older top 100 system it actually punished those who did alot of off the board pvp,only to lose all that rating to much higher leveled players clearing bountys, or while offline on the board.

In the old system, I witnessed first hand someone having a low level friend hit dozens of players, get bountied, then clear said *friend* for rating to claim #1 spot.Another reason it should be modified or completely removed from the board.

I'm all for an increase to a pvp range limit,rewards, and so on. I still stand firm that there shouldnt be a removal of counter bounties from the game. It will Kill any chance we have of reviving pvp in this game.

Having spoken with Hoofmaster, we're seriously reconsidering the PvP Ladder system. We're looking to review it, possibly removing it and replacing it with the original PvP system. We think that might help. I personally think the ladder watered PvP down.


By original do you mean the first PvP system in the game where you just had a rating and could be transferred on attacks on any level player?..... Sounds like the best idea in this thread. Or as darvos said just remove the opt in for the ladder.

While this idea may bring more people to bounty hunt I feel that the average player who only pvps occasionally will be deterred because of the almost certainty of losing 3 levels. With no chance of punishing there smashers. Overall I feel this is a bad idea and that ALL Bounty hunters should be bountiable. If you really want to protect the bounty hunter make it so that ONLY 10 stamina clearer's can not be bounties. If you want to earn your smasher medal then you have to have some risk involved.

I don't mind changing the punishment aspect of the bounty board but all hits need to be bountiable. Bounty hunters get a reward for clearing bounties and also should have some risk applied. If you really want to limit the damage that can be done on a counter bounty make it so bounty hunters can only lose 1 level.

:) May I suggest that you limit the number of players in the same guild that can participate on the same ladder range as has been done in arena am finding that some of the ranges of the ladder had only the same guild members on it and when a new player opts on to play is the only targets that the other players have, you can look at all ladder ranges and see this happening think is very unfair that they can be allowed to get their medal and tokens without doing any work for it, thank you




+1 to this for sure. No more then 2 in the same guild should be allowed on the later if there are less then 6 players on the ladder.if there are 6+ should be allowed 4 12+ 6 and so on

If anything new is added to the ladder rewards, they should be bound. If they're not then don't bother with them. Why reward people who get 1st place on their ladders with 1 hit, who have hoards of tokens to monopolize the market for the new rewards which will allow them to make massive profits?



The value of the said items with be shot down so fast that it wouldnt even matter that they were new. I personally would be alright with not adding unbound stuff but some players would throw a tantrum if they didn't get something they can try to sell. I feel that the usually gear would be sufficient and de value fast enough to not hurt anything.

The potion Idea is good, but only if they stay bound.



100% agree. I feel that new items should be added in the current fashion not bound and the potions shall be bound for sure!

Sorry Chazz, you are arguing against your own stance by admitting Arena and Titans are doing great with having unbound rewards, yet you want to "force" players into the Ladder so they can get used to PvP. Really? Do you think you are going to twist a players arm hard enough with say AL1000 pots to get them to PvP? If being unbound in Arena, Titans and even GvGs works why it can't work on the Ladder baffles me. Have a little faith in the predictability of incentives.

The idea is not to force those who dont want to pvp but to atleast give them a decent reason to try it and with a great reward. It would bring a aspect to the game where a player can actually earn something good for them selves but not be able to turn it into a major profit. I know and understand that some players do not want to pvp at all and thats fine. they can just deal without the rewards of it.   As for titans being bound that would be a horrible idea as multiple players often for them not just a single player.

I've commented a couple of times already supporting this idea of Bound Potions - I have explained reasons as to why and how they would encourage PvP and bring the community closer together as a whole. I have also suggested what I feel is a wonderful idea for the future of the PvP Ladder gear at the bottom of Page 1 as well. Both of these suggestions are in favor of the Original Poster's forum here.

 

Now I'd like to share some ideas with you all on what potions I would like to see from the PvP Ladder Rewards:

 

I will break these down into certain categories to ease reading them so people can share what I hope to be positive feed back. The break down will consist of PvP, leveling, titan hunting, farming.

 

Leveling Potions:

 

Potion of the " Supreme Leveler" contains:

 

Master Learner : +0.5% per point increase in xp from creature kills. <---- Capped at level 100 which would increase XP gained by 50% - Global pots that include AL 600 provide a 120% - normal Adept Learner at 175 is = to 35% I think this is nice and balanced.  [Please note this should only be available through the PvP Ladder no where else and especially not in Skill trees]

Animal Magnetism: Level 300

Stalker: Level 300

 

Potion of the " Wise and Wealthy ": contains:

 

Librarian: Level 300

Treasure Hunter: Level 225

Merchant: Level 225

Quest Finder: Level 225

 

Farming Potions:

 

Potion of the " Resourceful " contains:

 

Find Item: Level 1200

Four Leaf: Level 300

Resource Finder: Level 275

 

Potion of the "Mad Scientist"contains:

 

Inventor: Level 350

Inventor II: Level 350

Extractor: Level 350

 

Titan Hunting Potion:

 

Potion of the " Remarkable" contains:

 

Conserve: Level 300

Light Foot: Level 1200

Distraction: Level 300

 

PvP Potions:

 

Potion of the "Annihilator" contains:

 

Rage: Level 250

Savagery: Level 300

Retaliate: Level 300

Undermine: Level 300

Shame: Level 200

 

Potion of the "Spartan" contains:

 

Armor Boost: Level 200

Ageless: Level 200

Anchored: Level 200

I really like the ideas for the potions chazz strong but not game breaking for sure. I would love to see something like this implimented!

Maybe we could find a balance between bound and un bound. Have the strongest potions personally bound and the other ones that could be created guild bound perhaps?

A simple idea here to add some new "useful" Rewards to the pvp ladder and maybe bring some more players into the pvp ladder. Instead of just adding more items to make why not add some bound potions for each play style? (PvP, leveling, titan hunting, farming) These potions would have to be bound as to not instantly flood the market with them and thus making them worthless and not encouraging players to play and earn them.  

 

These potions could have a building system similar to the composing, in that the more tokens you use in them the stronger they become (capped at a reasonable level of coarse) and also used to increase duration( also capped).  The potions would need to be strong enough to make a leveling player want to use there stamina to earn them. I feel that AL level 300 would be a fair buff level for example. 

 

 

This is just a suggestion and would love feedback and other ideas from everyone here.

Maybe add a small bounus for players in the top 100 bigger for top 50 and top 25 too 10 and top 5? I'm going to be using my stamina evee tho I am out ATM for the next 4 days on this so chip in everyone! Its supposed to be a community event.... An idea for more incentive would maybe be to give a bounus to guild with the most combined kills?

hmm..."Quartly GVG Compitetions" ...... nice. reset the gvg rankings? im sry i disagree. guilds painstakingly faught to get there they should stay there. adding another aspect to GVG system like the pvp ladder, etc... . is probily a much needed and long awaited aspect. as for the break down of how it works and the rewards that another topic for dession and debate/ braing storming. RP.... Gear.... potions.... components.... the list of options are huge its a matter of player demand/needs or guild demand/needs.


New Medals love them still waiting to see "Most Wanted" medal for being poste on the BB xxxx amount of times :lol: . a animated medal for winning the Quartly compitions on guild page would be nice - guild team work accomplishment medals. a player can be declrated only so much...... start declarating the guild for its position in FS.




p.s. umm dev's .......where is the bloody spell check on this thing......... :(



I really like the idea rye has proposed. It would encourage guilds to actively participate in gvg and would Also allow newer guilds a chance to get into it with our having guilds with really high rating just sitting there.

Also a new idea for rp use aside from more potions ( which I love the idea of) I think it would be good to implement a guild bank gold boost for x amount of rp. This would help the guilds with less members to be able to afford their structures and upgrade them with out killing the guild bank each time they wish to upgrade.
