T1 = 2 inferno hammers

T2 = 2 x T1 (4)

T3 = 2 x T2 (8)

T4 = 2 x T3 (16)

T5 = 2 x T4 (32)

 

This is still a long drawn out TEDIOUS process btw. Since each inferno hammer is actually 4 inventions itself.

 

I made mention of an alternative idea in chat earlier of introducing 'upgrade crystals' to some of the DQ rewards and have these (along with 1 of the previous tier items) being used to upgrade stuff. Have these items un-bound also obviously, to avoid DQ rewards becoming redundant once items are fully upgraded.

 

Alternatively (and probably preferably for some people) have the upgrades attached to some kind of series of quests. Endless inventing is NOT fun for a lot of people. This game is meant to be fun, right?

I've just tweaked the recipes so that they all now take 2 of the previous tier rather than 3. Also I've upped the success chance at the higher tiers. I think this should work a bit better.

 

As far as I could tell no-one had invented any yet so should be ok :)

 

You need to also increase the amount of stam/xp gain they provide. They are still outclassed by their contemporaries.

 

Also consider adding the teleport enhancing, um, enhancement to them 'Temporal Shift'.

I did nothing of the sort.  Merely pointed out people fears, whether justified or not.

A revenge hit option takes away absolutely nothing from respectful, honourable players anyway.

 

I'm kind of having trouble now understanding the opposition to the premise. O.o

They already  can hit back, AND they can get the hitter smashed "into the ground" too, if they want. It's really not all that hard and it really gets to me that people think they will get ground-pounded for a returned hit. Some might, but that's FAR from all, and FAR from always. If people just don't act all crazy when they get hit, they generally don't have any bad experiences with it when they hit back.

 

You can't have it both ways though mzz. Your guild is so successful because it has established a fearsome reputation. Even if a player isn't going to be smashed into the ground if they respond to a hit one of your guildmates make, a lot of people assume they will. So they don't bother, they just shrug it off and ignore the hitter.

 

Allowing a revenge hit would take away the threat of the hitters backers if you like. I imagine it would certainly tempt some people to smack back. Surely that is the main goal, to get more people hitting and hitting back?

 

To be clear, if a person chose to make a revenge hit it would obviously have to invalidate the bounty option for the initial hit.

Make it simpler. Allow for a 'revenge hit'.

As an option alongside 'ignore' and 'bounty' allow for a revenge hit that can't be bountied.

 

Might tempt more people in if they know they can fight back without being smashed into the ground by a pvp'ers guild on the BB?

It's not worth it. You simply do not know if your comments are going to be labelled 'Off topic' or not these days. Usually better to keep things short and sweet.

 

Point out things you think are bad, let the devs come up with the fixes. Not going to waste my time any more, when things far too easily simply get deleted or locked.

Perhaps the medal would be more fitting if it worked like...

 

Rename the current Best Player medal to, 'Level Dominator'.

Create a 'new'  medal based on some top rated lists.

 

Level (overall top 250), Richest, kill streak, Bounty Hunter, Rising stars, Arena, SE kills and PvP smasher.

 

Call this one 'Best Player'.

 

So essentially at midnight ST the game would take a reading of these lists, if each list has a different leader, no BP medal tick for anyone.

If a player manages to become top of more than one, while no other player has, player gets BP medal tick.

There should never be 'joint' best players. So if Player A was top of two lists and then Player B become top of 2 other lists, no BP tick would be had until only one player dominated again.

 

 

 

I think this would be a more fitting solution to the 'term' best player. It would also make adding some more top rated lists have a little more point. Top Fragger (most fragmented items), Top inventor, Top DQ'er etc etc.

 

The more top lists for this system the better IMO. Make the best player truly need to be a jack of all trades and highly active.

Ruby tier was unrealistic last year, population numbers certainly haven't risen since then, so it is now merely even further out of reach. Sad really. Oh well, I've done my bit...

BG posted in another thread: Based on player feedback, the number of them that spawns in a Realm has been increased. Bear in mind, Animal Mag does work on these guys.

He also said in Global Chat: BigGrim [1363]: They have more spawnings in the Realms.

That is good. Wasn't sure if it would happen. I will be watching to see how this plays out LOL

 

Ah well that IS good, glad to see Grim being willing to update on the fly due to player feedback.
