#854536 Rise of the Wraiths (Global Event)

Posted by andyvince on 11 March 2014 - 08:37

If you had decided that the rewards were too great before the event actually ended, you could have just decided not to give out 6 chests instead of 3. 3 was all that anyone expected anyway (except a 4th for those in the top 100).

+1

I even saw BigGrim was wise enough to turn down someone asking for an additional tile (call Diamond tile?) for exceeding ruby tile so much in Global Chat during final 5 hours of event.

Really lost me why HCS decided to double the Stashes when handled out rewards after the event.

#850315 Global Event - Crystal Tier!

Posted by BigGrim on 19 February 2014 - 10:24

Yup exactly what i have been saying needs advanced planning, we need notice a week or two in advance :).

Nope. We generally give a day, two at most of notice if we decide to do so at all. That's not likely to change. And,  most of the time, the Community manages to gain Ruby.

Finally, with the intention to run more GEs with Frag Stash prizes, there really is zero need for any advance notice.

#828493 Guild XP while sub-leveling

Posted by Pardoux on 10 December 2013 - 02:49

In the last thread it was hinted if there was going to be an xp event it would be before the new year so it will happen before 2014. Just have to wait :P

Hinted at (by whoever) and actually announced are two completely different things. Personally, I hope there ISN'T one at all - not for a few months at least, until all these delevellers have levelled back up again..

the Virtual Level creature farming for Actual Level gaining needs to be restricted before the possibility of the XP event that may or may not happen near the end of the month that may or may not be this month..

#827262 Hellforging on behalf of hoof

Posted by Hoofmaster on 09 December 2013 - 02:07

Since this is next up on the roadmap, I've looked through what's been said and think the following would work:

Level 1: +5 / +1% (whichever is higher) to all stat points, +2% to enhancements.

Level 2: +10 / +2% (whichever is higher) to all stat points, +4% to enhancements.

Level 3: +15 / +3% (whichever is higher) to all stat points, +6% to enhancements.

Level 4: +25 / +5% (whichever is higher) to all stat points, +8% to enhancements.

Level 5: +50 / +10% (whichever is higher) to all stat points, +10% to enhancements.

What do you think?

#826866 Exploiting XP to boost guild

Posted by Mister Doom on 08 December 2013 - 02:51

I saw an idea I really liked a little earlier in this thread. Was by dragon I think. (sorry if it was someone else)

What about applying a stat modifier to creatures depending on your AL in relation to the creature?

For example:

If you were 1-5 levels below the creature you were facing you would hit the creeps with full strength.

 • 6-10 levels (AL) below the creature and all your stats would be reduced to 50%

 • 11-15 level (AL) below the creature and all your stats would be reduced to 25%

 • 15+ levels (AL) and your stats would be reduced to 5%

I've seen many games that have this kind of feature, you stumble into a new area and run into a creep with a BIG red name (telling you it's much higher level than you) and when you try and attack it you can hardly scratch it. I think this would fit in nicely to the FS world and would even make sense in a role play 'lore' kind of way too.

It would also fix this stupid mega re-levelling loophole quite nicely.

#813134 Composing and potential Upgrades

Posted by BigGrim on 25 September 2013 - 08:48

For those of you complaining about not using enough LE/SE shards at the beginning? It's because it is the BEGINNING! New players who can compose as they level will not have huge reserves of LE/SE gear. So it would lock them out of composing. Remember, this has to be open to all. As players spent more time in game, composing as they go, they'll gain LE/SE items through buying, trading or hunting them. And Composing will get to a place where they'll need those shards.

This is not gonna give you super potions from the very outset, nor should it. It is something that you work at.

#803353 New Medal Notification

Posted by cyrus7 on 31 July 2013 - 06:30

Suggestion on improving the Achievements posting:

1.) Categorize the medals.

Right now, all the guild loyalty medals and annual service medals kind of dilute the ones you actually have to do something for, such as hunt titans, super elites, top players, etc. and they're all mixed in together.

My suggestion would look something like...

Top Players

player1  player2  player3

Super Elite Hunters

player1  player2  player3

etc.

2.) Only show active players.

I am referring to active as in idle time of under 30 or 31 days, whatever the cutoff is for seeing the last active time on their profile before it turns into "inactive account".

The reason for this is with the guild and annual service medals, we have huge lists of people who haven't signed in for years and terminated accounts. I know this because I was curious if these types were being included, so I clicked on random names in this last posting, and saw examples of both extreme inactivity and accounts no longer available for viewing.

This would keep the list smaller and more relevant to the current community.

#796880 Starting Area Changes beginning.

Posted by BigGrim on 21 June 2013 - 11:09

Hey there.

Through the magic of Mowglik's maps and a crappy paint program, this is the basic layout, not taking the Epic Quest routes into account.

Gonna fire this to Mowglik so he can do a better job of it.

#796429 Composing - In Detail (Revision 1.2)

Posted by Hoofmaster on 19 June 2013 - 00:15

We're hoping going to be adding the first part of the Composing system tomorrow whereby you'll be able to 'break down' your items into the Fragments.

If you can excuse my artwork (the Fragment graphics are temporary) you can see how it's looking so far below...

Note the green numbers under the Fragment types update as you select each item so you can quickly see how many Fragments you'll get by breaking down the selected items :)

#796303 Scavenging Caves!

Posted by BigGrim on 18 June 2013 - 09:30

Hey there.

I'm really glad that most posters have found this event to have been worthwhile. I knew we couldn't have the XP event without something to temper the gold influx, thus the choices I made for the creatures. I'd hoped the potions were worthwhile too.
