problem is that you will need to have the "Character - Tab" open 24/7 to know when you will receive a message

I think you should introduce a new "pop up" for private messages too because what we currently have is really bad sad.png

 

some of these BUGS have been reported to Support & in Forum years ago & are still reported until now by numerous players & everytime we get the same reply >>> will forward & will be fixed in the next game update <<<

 

other BUGS that appeared

  • NO "pop up" for Mass Messages or any kind that we usually got before the Update (Composing, sold items, .....)
  • many experienced extreme lag immediately after the Update, apparently hoof was online & saw it, he "fixed" it for the majority but few still have trouble
  • Invented items are now directly transferred to BackPack instead like usual to Mailbox !!!
  • try opening a potion from a chest and see what happens ....
  • others

Hoof, please fix them ASAP !!!

 

the missing "pop ups" (look at screen shots) have unfortunately really made FallenSword almost unplayable sad.png

 

the UI is not "user friendly" anymore, for years we do not know when a new chat / leader message appears which lead to less communication / logins .....

 

 

 a "selfish" request that is very quick to implement + sure that will increase activity (like I have seen in other various successful games)

 

while we are waiting for HCS, they can implement this awesome feature:

the amount you enter will be transfered (substracted) from your FSP account to your "FSP chest" that will appear in your Mailbox !!!

(EXAMPLE: if your account has 1000 FSPs and you input 200 FSPs, then your account will have 800 FSPs & the "FSP chest" a value of 200 FSPs !!!)

then this "FSP Chest" (hope HCS will give it a cool design) can be gifted to players, this will generate activity especially during events, occasions, holidays, ...... 

this is much better than just receiving fsps (proven in other games & sure many saw it in other games, I ♥ it)

hope we will see it very soon & at the same time HCS can observe the activity during that day  :D

we should do EVERYTHING we can to increase game activity so PLEASE Hoof let's do that !!!

the whole composing update was not a surprise and showed more how little the admins know of this game and what is really needed, composing was one of the least desired ones 

 

I am not dissapointed because I had no expectation and knew the update would not fix any of the many bugs we have reported for years or give us an update that most of the community actually wants

 

when I read in forum that it was a composing update I knew you would increase smashing hammer, the worst skill that many warned you about and you delivered the opposite

 

4 years and then this update, speechless

 

I do not know why you did not fix any of the many bugs we kept reporting to you over the years, always the same reply that it will be fixed with the new update which never happens (leader chat, chat notification broken ....)

 

and this new update broke more things here, look everything connected to logs, too many to count

 

this is brutal honest feedback, you can either take it or delete it to hide problems

Anything to increase the activity in the game gets a +1 from me.

Love the intricacy, but it appears quite costly. How would this affect smaller and/or newer guilds?


Gives them something to strive for, not everything should be attainable on day 1.

Seems like almost every game aspect hardly has any activity anymore so …..

Introduce “Towers” (= a Guild Structure)

They can be bought under the Guild Upgrades Section for 100 FSPs each (4-6 Towers in total)

 

“Orbs” can be placed in “Towers” & the “Orbs” need to be invented !!!

to invent an “Orb” will require a lot of EPIC resources => so let’s get as many game aspects involved as possible (all kinds of Farming from Resources to LE, Inventing, SE Hunting, Titan Hunting, PvP Ladder, Arena, GvG Conflict, …..)

 

Recipe A = 1 x The Hunted Cows Warhammer + 1 x The Hunted Cows Amulet + 1 x The Hunted Cows Helm

Recipe B = 1 x Steamforged Gorgeanaka Cuirass + 1 x Chodrcane Gloves + 1 x Perchtas Grasp + 1 x Perchtas Rune

Recipe C = 1 x Ridged Plate Cuirass + 1 x Shadow Weave Gloves + 1 x Vine Tendril Gauntlets

Recipe D = 1 x Bag of 100 PvP Ladder Tokens + 1 x Bag of 1000 Arena Tokens

(NEW PvP Ladder Reward added called “Bag of 100 PvP Ladder Tokens” + Arena Reward called “Bag of 1000 Arena Tokens”)

  • Function of those invented “Orbs”

“Orbs” can be placed into the “Towers” (=Guild Structure) to give BONUSES !!!

Here are some EXAMPLES: (each Orb placement can give 1 of those Bonuses, either Stam Gain, Max Stam, Teleport Cooldown reduction, get % more Guild Experience (GXP) per Creature, get % more Experience (XP) per Creature, …..

Orb = +1 Stam gain, +1k Max Stam, -1 sec Teleport Cooldown, +1% GXP, +1% XP,

Orb (Tier 1) = +2 Stam gain, +2k Max Stam, -2 sec Teleport Cooldown, +2% GXP, +2% XP,

Orb (Tier 2) = +3 Stam gain, +3k Max Stam, -3 sec Teleport Cooldown, +5% GXP, +5% XP,

Orb (Tier 3) = +5 Stam gain, +5k Max Stam, -4 sec Teleport Cooldown, +10% GXP, +10% XP,

Orb (Tier 4) = +10 Stam gain, +10k Max Stam, -5 sec Teleport Cooldown, +15% GXP, +15% XP,

Orb (Tier 5) = +15 Stam gain, +15k Max Stam, -6 sec Teleport Cooldown, +20% GXP, +20% XP,

These were just some Examples

So if a guild has an Orb (Tier 2) and wants Max Stam then they have to insert the Orb into the Max Stam Tower to get ONLY the Bonus of +5 Stam gain !!!

If a guild has an Orb (Tier 5) and wants more GXP then they have to insert the Orb into the GXP Tower to get ONLY the Bonus of +20% GXP !!!

 

Info:

  • The Epics in Recipes A, B, C were choosen on purpose because they need the most ingrediens, are the most expensive & will take time to get them !!!
  • I choose to NOT include any of the Elemental Weapons (Javelin, Hammer, Trident, Blade) into any Recipe for obvious reasons (are already used to invent the 4 Elemental Shields, titans do NOT drop them, is from a quest + will get too expensive for new & low players), same why did NOT use any Elemental Shields in any Recipe !!!
  • Each Tower has a different function, meaning that there is a Stam gain Tower, Max Stam Tower, Teleport Tower, GXP Tower, XP Tower, …… (this is to avoid abuse by a guild getting 4-6 Towers & placing Stam Gain or Max Stam Orbs in them, each Tower can be used once, meaning you can only have ONE single Stam Gain Tower, NOT multiple ones, applies to the rest too !!!
  • Everything I posted here is just an EXAMPLE (epic ingredients, quantity, ....)

 

The main reason is to increase activity for a much longer period + get as many people involved (as you can see it will require the help of multiple players, the whole guild to invent the “Orbs” + will take a long time to upgrade the Orbs + TEAMWORK + different kinds of game aspects + finally something to do as many of us just hardly login to do anything & most importantly the Recipes hardly need any “special” coder since BG can do that which should be FAST to implement ^_^

 

Please feel free to post your opinion, ideas, improvements, …. as the Recipes, kind of Rewards are up to HCS, Community what they want to see AND as usual keep it civil  :)

The rise and fall of the trolls

 

As I look into the campfire I recall old events. This is my story & I am the narrator of this tale. In the golden age wars were a common thing, many skirmishes occurred & among them a war between 2 super powers in which I took part in. Not a day went by without blood being spilt, heroes and warriors emerged, as did a certain individual. This particular one started calling himself the strongest in the whole realm, even went as far as crowning himself the leader. He had a deep rage burning inside him towards all races, he started demanding total obedience, dictating who to ally ourselves with, whom to talk to and the list goes on. When confronted by his allies he totally lost it, consumed by rage he started swinging his sword like a madman, attacking allies and enemies alike as his appearance took the shape of a troll. This led to the end of the war with his side losing due to his crazy actions & it is rumored that the mad troll was spotted mortally wounded in the “sacred plains”, waiting for his return …….

 

Unbeknownst to us all another troll was biding his time in the darkness, gathering information & observing those brave warriors. When he first made his move, he was accompanied by his obedient sidekicks, 2 naïve inferior goblins. He was a grotesque creature & unlike his predecessor he prided himself in lying, deceit & cowardice. The 2-faced troll twisted facts to his own liking with the help of his 2 naïve sidekicks & even had a god trusting him. Thus it lead to the realm deteriorating & people emigrating. He basked in the misfortune of others & as the people started losing all hope, a higher god descended enforcing a law that was not to the liking of the troll as he had seen through the trolls lies & deceit. Enraged that he could not find joy in the misfortune of others anymore he vanished, leaving behind his loyal sidekicks with a single message saying “Snow Shrine” …..

 

As time passed the 3rd & most insignificant troll made his appearance. He came from a wealthy family but as a child was neglected by his parents so he sought the attention of others, no matter what, which led to his delusions.  He built himself a secret base underneath his families estate & his wealthy lifestyle was provided by stealing from his grandma. His delusions grew so severe that he was banished from “free speech” which fueled his need for attention even more. He started stalking & pestering “the eternal defenders”, an order he admired by slipping letters under their doors just to get a reaction out of them. Seeing them ignoring him, he applied to join his idols but when they denied him entry his delusions manifested. Even after the troll joined the “laughing stock” order he would at nights stalk each member of “the eternal defenders”, sometimes slipping them letters and every now and then going after their flags, just to satisfy his abnormal need for attention. As I sit around the campfire I make my way back home, feeling the presence of the troll circling around my order excitingly shrieking in a high pitched voice for attention …..

Younger people also have the attention span of my hyperactive dog. Squirrel! Squirrel!
How many young people you know stick with a pvp game for the long haul? Unless they can become OP and rule the game, they won’t stick around. They also love the eye candy and top notch graphics which we don’t have so good luck with that.

By now, we know our demographic and who sticks around. The strength is the social aspect and that some how needs to be leveraged.

This statement, I tend to disagree with, I'm a 19 year old who has been PvPing and GvGing since beginning of 2013, and I'm still very into this aspect of the game, although, due to lack of change, doing so much of these without any updates or changes being made to them will get boring, it will happen to anyone regardless of age, the neglect to update current systems is what makes people so tired of certain things.

 

People have been asking for a revamp in pvp/gvg for years now and this aspect of the game has never been touched, just a few months ago Ryebred came up with a great idea of making GvGing competitive again but nothing was done about it, if this aspect isn't changed BEFORE the app is released then I can almost guarantee that young people WILL indeed like pvp and gvg but will not stick around in FS because it won't be changed, and they will get bored of the lack of competition, or if it WILL be changed AFTER the app, even more people who will potentially stick around will then be driven away because, lets be honest, who would have the patience to start a game, take so much time to finally understand the aspect most intriguing to them, then have it all completely changed having to understand it all over again? What opinion will that leave on newcomers?

Wyld Titan. If you can 1 hit it without luck buffs kicking in, you are amazing.

Necrosis is a chance, "Luck" buff...  :D

why would you point towards the "Necrosis" SKILL that is a "luck" buff + has ZERO impact if it activates or not on the Titan?

 

BEFORE the 1,2,3,4,R (rolfstoping with OP pots) players would actually check out each mobs profile before attacking to know if they had enough attack / damage / ...... !!!

if you had bothered to check the Wyld Mari (Titan) profile BEFORE posting here (like I did in order to answer yotwehcs question) you would have known that the Titan was already "Undead" & that you would NOT need "Necrosis" at all !!!

Necrosis =>   +0.1% per point chance that the creature you are fighting will be turned into an 'Undead' creature at the start of combat. (PvE Only)

since the creature is already Undead, Necrosis will be "useless" (you can not turn an already "Undead" to "Undead" :P)

 

if you have not already noticed the "answer" was obviously HOLY FLAME !!!

Holy Flame => +0.2% extra damage vs. undead per point.

 

before you ask, Holy Flame is NOT a "luck" buff & yes, you can easily 1-Hit-Kill the highest lvl Titan (many have already done so) & yes HolyFlame lvl 500 is way OP (DOUBLES your damage at only lvl 500, distilled even more) !!!

 

if you still "somehow" believe it can not be done then PM me ingame & I will gladly help you or just ask anyone who has hunted it before

 

ps: if you use OP composing + castable buffs + the Valaraths Egg then at your level you can get 750k+ damage (the Titan "only" has 365k HP so you will NOT even need a wither pot LOL, that just further proves how OP pots have become :wacko:

Thanks, I understood Melons post just fine. I even said that some buffs could be tweaked a bit to balance them out between themselves. Only needing one setup to win suggests the stats on setups available need to be varied a bit more as stat increasing buffs only compound an issue that is already there.

do you mind explaining in DETAIL what you mean? maybe with an EXAMPLE & a possible Sollution?

I think once you start talking about it in detail you will realize that it is a skill issue !!!

 

for EXAMPLE: if I & my opponent use the SAME PvP setup (same forge / craft) with the only exception that I use OP pots & he / she uses only castable buffs then his / her chances to win are almost NONE !!! EVENTHOUGH we are using the same PvP setup => thus further proving it is a SKILL ISSUE !!!

 

it has ALWAYS been a "SKILL - ISSUE", if you remember at the "early stage of the game" when people rushed to level in order to get castable 175 buffs !!! EVERYONE back then (regardless of being a PvPer or NON-PvPer would tell you that the skill level matters a LOT !!!

 

Maybe you didn't understand what I was saying. It was about the players who feel castable buffs should be able to compete with composing buffs. Not about buffs being an issue themselves.

I fail to see how being required to match another players efforts to beat them is an issue.

if you wanna talk about EFFORTS then what about the PvP Efforts????

what about the YEARS of PvP Efforts, the resources (FSPs, Gold, Stamina, lost XP, lost Levels, Time, .....) they put BEFORE OP Composing was released & **** it up for them???

I have put a LOT more "effort" into PvP than into Composing, PvP has cost me X times more than Composing & I know many PvPers were it applies too !!!

the "efforts" PvPers have put over the years hardly mattered AFTER OP Composing !!!

how do you think these PvPers felt after engaging OP Composed players in PvP & to find out that their years of PvP efforts hardly matter & they hardly stand a chance?

many PvPers went complaining into the forum (incl me) but unfortunately we know what happened if you posted any negativity about OP Composing :(

some either quit the game, left PvP or just like me started to level up Composing in order to be able to compete in PvP !!!

 

there are many things to add to the PvP efforts that the Composing efforts can not even come close to BUT like I said before let's not start talking about "efforts" here because you will lose the "fight" before it even starts .....

 

when years of PvP "efforts" pale in comparison to the Composing "efforts" in relation to PvP (PvP Ladder, GvG, ......) then something has to be wrong !!!

 

& finally: acknowledging ones "efforts (Composing efforts) while disregarding the others "efforts" (years of PvP efforts) is just wrong / ..... !!!

 

the only honest arguement I heard so far to keep OP Composing was: I have put a lot of effort into Composing so it should stay !!!

BUT even that only honest arguement does not hold a candle when PvPers talk about their years of PvP efforts !!!

 

afterall this is about PvP !!!

I really hope you will do this to see for yourself what is really going on & if you do then I am confident you will "unfortunately" know how OP Composing has affected PvP (PvP Ladder, GvG, .....)

PvP isn't just used as a way to 'punish' players.

do not even bother to reply when they post nonsense like this, they will just come up with all kind of ridiculous excuses (most either does not make any sense or just contradict themselves) to keep their WIN-Buttons !!!

 

at this point I would not be surprised if they started saying that all PvPers are evil in RL, PvP should be removed from the game, want a new PvP system, PvPers are just bullies, ....... or even claim that the earth is flat tongue.png

 

like I keep saying over & over again:

since some are so confident in asking for a game poll then let's do it BUT 1st let's even the odds:

PvPers are now facing opponents with 2-3 times higher stats than they used to battle so it is only fair if the levelers face the same consequences !!!

ALL creatures stats from lvl 1 - EOC will be 2-3 times higher than they used to be !!!

 

afterall since PvPers have to face stats 2-3 times higher then levelers should be too, that's only "fair" for both parties to face the same consequences & the same "excuses" you guys keep saying to the PvPers that they "decided to limit themselves by not composing", "it is a challenge", bla bla bla ..... should of course apply to the levelers too !!!

 

then let's have a game poll & NONE of you should have a problem with that if you truly believe in your posts that defend OP pots !!!

 

The ladder is all about who can afford the highest level pots/buffs and who can run them the longest. There is no skill involved. The current situation with buffs is beyond obvious there.

There lies the problem. Our knowledge means squat against the OP pots. No skill required anymore, just access to the right potions.

that's unfortunately a fact which hopefully hoof will fix ASAP !!!

hope you do not mind that I quoted your post:

if OP Composing ONLY allowed those that couldn't compete before their introduction now can then that would NOT be a problem at all BUT unfortunately OP Composing is a 1-sided battle against someone who is NOT using them him- /herself & has been proven by many players (through their experience), especially on the PvP Ladder / GvG !!!

 

I have been on both ends & know it is a 1-sided battle, can not really call it "competing" when 1 side (OP Composing) is overhelmingly "obliterating" the other one (buffs) tongue.png

 

for me OP Composing VS buffs is almost the same as buffs VS NO-buffs, 1 side will obviously have a HUGE advantage & "obliterate" the other one blink.png

 

as usual please feel free to put yourselves "at both ends": use buffs VS OP Composing target & then use OP composing VS buffs target to verify (best on PvP Ladder / GvG) !!!

 

Unless Super pots are used against other Super pots it's disingenuous to claim it's challenging to battle an opponent in PvP.

I doing 42 times more damage than creature hp, this not normal, this crazy

this from hunting and in pvp is same problem, there still players who saying epic skills not OP for they can keeping having winning button, lol

42 times is NOT just "overkill", rather a "FATALITY - kill" :P

I thought I was the only one who noticed those contradicting posts

 

one talks about that he wants a challenge in pvp but is ok with him using epic skills against players who do not, for him that is a challenge

 

another one talks about strategy to beat epic skills but in the end his strategy to beat epic skills is to use epic skills too and epic skills need to stay in pvp

 

the next one has to use epic skills to beat another player with epic skills on the board and at the end of her post she does not want changes or it will ruin pvp

 

the posts do not make sense

are we both the only ones who noticed the contradicting posts?

you are not the only ones who noticed them, why do you think I posted this: ;)

I am grateful to everyone who is trying to promote "fair, strategic and competitive PvP gameplay" (like the OP from wootpk3r) BUT I am most grateful to those who are against it & want EPIC skills (OP Composing) to stay in PvP because their own posts have proven 2 things:

Says the gal who consistently beats me up...

She beats me up too mang, and she don't even need them potions :| ..

On topic though. I think the potions have surely killed much of the challenge that PvP used to bring (at least to me, I'm not that clever). 

As others have mentioned, these potions really discourage any type of planning or strategic thinking. It's all bout who drinks them potions most times, at least in my experience. I do think diminishing returns would be a good way to adjust them too.

When do we say X buff at Y (high) level is too much? At this point not even the critters hold a chance against us, not even their CHAMPION versions present a challenge to the almighty power of Composed potions.

Lots of good suggestions in here. Hope this gets somewhere :)

PvP use to require skill, knowledge, and effort. I'd spend literally days making new sets to have the best stats I could. The OP pots have removed the need for anything but luck. You have to have the same OP pots going to even have a small chance of winning. But even if you have all the same pots going as a target, skill still has nothing to do with who wins. It's all about who gets the lucky buffs activated. Now it is just a weird game of Press Your Luck.
