#839615 Terenul Rosu - Balsaur Bug

I'm sorry Elle but I've been to TR many many many times and have full Wrathfang set plus enough relics for a second set.  That's a lot of runs through TR both live and in beta.  I know this beast well.  Everything about Balaur changed after the last update.  All other bosses are the same as before.  After the update Balaur changed to a raging beast and I do not even have to be near Balaur nor hit him for him to auto target me, he automatically targets the ranger whether attacking or not.  It was never that way prior to the update.  Something is wrong, either taunt isn't working or stealth shot for ranger isn't (which was reported that stealth shot hasn't ever worked). 

 

Whatever it is its a major change and may have something to do with the update stating:

  • Fixed an issue number of creatures being weaker than they should have been. (Low HP and Damage)

Its definitely broken.... I have to disagree with your assessment. :(

Future build??? How soon will that be please?  There is NO WAY a ranger can even attempt to enter Balsaur without instant death after being chased around the entire area over and over and over while the rest of the team tries to regain control of him.   Deaths are costly not only to the ranger but to the rest of the team who rely on each member of group to help bring down this beast.  This needs fixed now not in some 'future build'.  *shakes head*

Balsaur has gone absolutely nuts for rangers.  He attacks all rangers on sight now with or without agro even if you are far away from him and others are attacking him.  Definite HUGE change since the update.  Balsaur is bugged big time when it concerns rangers.

By design this game is advertised to allow ALL players to play the game the way THEY want.  You can become a skiller or combat specialist or both.  That is the beauty of this game.  Whether it be a lower level player or not access should NOT be denied simply to allow higher level players to prosper.  I'm totally against implementing your proposed restrictions.  I have friends who I group with that are low level and I also help new players in the game.  Do you intend to tell me who I can be friends with next and who can group and do things with me in the game?  This will cause more problems and cause friendships to break up and players to quit the game and find one that isn't so restrictive.  I agree with Lagenia that a warning popup could be implemented and given a choice whether to enter an area or not... then its the individuals choice.

I don't agree with your concept of constantly attempting to impose limitations in this game at all.  I play the game with a variety of all level players and we do group together sometimes in different areas, so what, its our choice.  If you guys keep trying to tweak and nerf the game you are going to continue to drive players away from this game>>>> myself included.  Why create and dream up scenerios and problems when there isn't one other than you are looking for something to change in the game because it doesn't quite suit YOU.  Seems every time I look at this forum there is another tweak or twist or nerf being suggested...  Geezzzzzzzz enough already.

This topic was moved to Archived section and it is still not working correctly.  I have completed ALL quests and killed a gazillion Crimson Macabre.  And after taking the suggestion to 'continue' to work on lowering my reputation with this faction, I continue to get no notice of any reputation being lowered at all.  IF I am at the maximum of hated it is not showing nor giving lowering of reputation.

I would really like to see some feminine armor (skirts) and tops for us ladies.  Most everything is pretty much geared toward male players.  Most of the armor still makes us look like boys. :P

Marre, please stop assuming it is unfruitful and again you are wrong.  Go play instead of policing the forums.  Enough of the endless banter trying to prove your point.

 

As promised for those who DO know that there is something going on with the experience gained while foraging.  Here are the stats for level 24.  I suspect highly that foraging does not have the 25% supporters buff added.  That would account for the difference.

I spoke with cowboy and he requested I post about foraging experience and alchemy for the developers to see and hopefully sort out or give a definitive answer as to why things changed.

 

With each level gained in foraging you receive one less experience per pick which seems rather strange.  (Example:  If you get say 30 xp per pick at level 14 foraging, when you reach lvl 15 foraging you would only get 29 xp per pick.  That isn't the exact experience it is an example to show the decrease in xp per pick.)  And the experience in foraging decreases with every level you gain while picking same types of resource.

 

Today I reached level 16 in alchemy and my foraging was still at level 15 (and on the low end of level 15) which sent me back to pick apples and other items I did not need to gain the level for foraging next items.  Is this an intended outcome?  Seemed rather odd that the experience for one was so much lower than the other and actually decreased when I leveled rather than increased.  It almost felt like a punishment for gaining a level.

 

Also, at Mythos we use to be able to gather the level 16 foraging items.  Now all are replaced with level 24 items.  Where jootberry's, swamp fungus, and nidaberries  were are now cherry trees, andreas plant, and raspberries.  Now most of the lvl 14 foraging items are on the crystal coast (very few there) and at Littlehold (tons at Littlehold)  There wasn't much at Nidaros either.

 

So those were my observations over the past couple days while foraging and leveling alchemy.

They would then have to take a look also at one handed swords, daggers, and fist weapons, to even it out for all classes.  The weapons only give a 10% bonus against plagued, and it really isn't that big of a deal (from my experiences on all classes).  Also, the bow was never needed in the Nidaros Arena to "even" the odds.  It was always easily doable using envenom (as tested and proven by myself and others).  There seems to be a lot more areas to work on, in my opinion, that are of greater urgency.

 

At any rate, the request is valid and would like it considered without it being torn apart before its given any thought at all.
