The duration between Arena Tournament rounds has now been dropped from 10 minutes to 5. We hope you like the update. :)

why not just 1 minute? What's the point of the lag? Is it to slow down how many arenas get completed per day?

I can confirm as of 12/6/2020 (yesterday), that the logs still show +10% gold stolen from XXX when doing a guild conflict hit. Also, there may be other display issues with the log as well.

Not every time they release chompers does there need to be a new one imo. Plus, I would add that they don't always have to be a higher level than the previous one, you could mix it up and work on slotting chompers in previous ranges.

That's probably too much maneuvering for a new player to figure out. It should be moved to the world page for 1 click access to where other maps are in relation to your current map. Bonus points if you were able to have the current map glow or is noted that your at that map when looking up the mowglik maps. Not sure how much coding it would take to implement this but it would be a huge help to new players.

Other than the reward recipe or item, you would just get a medal tick (which would be optional). Otherwise you could stay at EOC. I think a prestige counter or other leveling bonus would not be needed with the current potions that are out there.

 

To be honest, I feel the idea is different from Belaric's suggestion from 2013 since we are introducing a medal with it (something to earn long term and keep higher level players interested in leveling .. not an easy task). Although if time permits, some extra lore with why they needed to go back to level 1 again could be interesting. However, the point of my suggestion was to give the development team a break from having to come up with content / art work for new creatures / etc. and allow players to have something to do .. kind of a happy medium of sorts.

 

I also think adding some new guild achievements wouldn't be too hard to code and give people some more things to shoot for as a team.

If they want to make GvG competitive again, then do the following: 

 

1) Increase gvg battles to 48 hours instead of 24 hours to complete hits and return hits

 

2) You have to do something about the rewards. Better packs to buff the entire guild would be a great start. The packs in there haven't been adjusted since the game came out. However, if the level of buffs are high and its benefiting all guild mates, then the RP cost should be high too. Possibly some way to convert to FSP shards or FSP directly. 

 

3) You need to increase the amount of players needed in a guild in order to gvg (4 is too little, 10 or 20 makes much more sense). If you don't believe me, see point 4.

 

4) You need to aggressively handle guilds that are cheating with gvg. For those that don't know, there are players which make up many multi accounts, then create guilds, then they gvg those guilds and farm RP. I know first hand of some guilds that did this and profited heavily. Not going to mention names, but you know who you are. GvG is more or less dead because of players / guilds that did this. In heavily increased the amount of epics coming into the game and tanked the value on them.

If you want the bounty board to come alive, the cost of posting bounties would have to be reduced. Or pick on guilds that actually defend their members.

 

Honestly why not just make BB tickets free? I would 1/2 the gold requirement to post as well. BB needs a huge injection for it to come back alive again. I really miss when they had the game post bounties based on gold stolen. Guild mates would add on extra gold to make sure bounties got hit on and levels were lost accordingly. The only tweak it needed was posting the bounties slightly more often and accounting for differences in players levels versus gold stolen for posting.

 

The BB was NEVER MORE ALIVE then at that time. In my opinion, it was the worst reversal of all time. 

 

As for the original post, I'm in favor of making regular 100 stam hits a smasher hit for the following reasons:

 

1) You can buy pvp protection if you really don't want to lose XP

 

2) This would inspire people to log on more often since many people are going to have deflect up 24/7 now

 

3) PvP prestige farming will indirectly be more difficult with more people having deflect active

 

4) There is hardly any bounties left anymore so earning smasher via bounty is impossible or nearly impossible. I'm actually in favor of players getting posted to the BB if they HAVEN'T pvp someone within the past 7 days if they are over say level 1000 or higher. Some pvp needs to occur for the game to function properly, otherwise there is no bounties, there is no risk, there is no pvp. 

 

5) Earning smasher hits via ladder works but guild versus individual player issues still arise (aka 3-4 guild mates from one guild smash player from other guild and they soft hit or don't hit each other. The individual player loses level much faster than they do). Ladder is meant to be a individual contest not guild. Also, bands are very large so it is more competitive to hit in regular pvp.

 

Sub idea 1) You could say you only earn pvp smasher ticks off the same player as often as you would with pvp prestige .. every 3-4 days.

 

Sub idea 2) Another thought in general, this could be a PvP 48 hour event, where you earn smasher ticks from regular pvp. This way its added to the game to spur on activity but not all the time as to be cumbersome to levelers.

This system never got a fair shake is how I would put it. I got a botched release and a quick fix after some people lost some levels due to the xp loss being higher than it should have been. However, I thought the bounty system that was implemented around that time to be very interesting and got me involved with BB hitting and getting posted a few times. I had a blast with it. I do see the concern with going back to the 50 stam hit for everything idea and that it takes away from all the hits completed with 100 stam. Not everything in that system was bad guys ... let's give this a reboot. 

 

Maybe just for 1-2 weeks every few months if your against it being a regular thing like ladder.

Bring back pvp seasons and the wanted style gold boosted BB. BB was more alive during that short period than at any other point. People were enjoying pvp during that period. Put up a poll about it.

why is this an issue for you OP? This sounds like envy to me. Give a few reasons that are not purely out of self interest why this would be a good thing for the game.

 

Also, i'm a player that took about a year off to pursue other interests in life and came back to my guild. Why should I lose my built up guild xp that took me nearly 10 years to build up by getting kicked out. There is also the issue of backpack space. People upgraded their space and used the mechanics of the game to allow for additional storage. You can't take that away from people, its just wrong!!

Being a Ruby titan hunter, I was never a fan of teleport even being added to the game. I got at least 1/2 my kills prior to that coming out even. I feel teleport and titan doubler forever changed titan hunting. I think if you remove teleport pot, you might as well make teleport not even work on maps with titans. I would go 1 step further and get rid of titan doubler as well. It used to be a drag out fight among a skilled team of players from guilds going at it to get secures. The drawback of that is that titan hunting takes a lot of time to compete for a secure but it should in my opinion (currently takes 15-20 minutes to secure titans). The results are obvious ... epics get secured at record times and the market gets flooded. Eventually people complain they are not even worth doing anymore. Then the cows make inventable epics using titan drops as a way to slow the depreciation on epics. 

 

The big fix would be to remove teleport from working on titans, remove titan doubler completely, and go after / suspend / ban scripters and cheaters with titan hunting. 

 

Or at least on seasonals make it not count / deactivate titan doubler ... might make it more fun for people trying it out for the first time and give them more time to get to spawns.

Global booster addition was nice but it's been years since anything else was added. Almost every other aspect of the game has got some new additions.

My point of making the thread wasn't to debate whether or not the current loyalty potions or keys are worth your loyalty tokens or not. But rather, let's brain storm some really good options that help multiple playing styles.

So far leveling and global event and chest hunters are covered. Who isn't covered? Pvp players, questers, SE players, Titan hunters, merchants, buff sellers, etc. I'm sure there is something that could be added.

I feel there should be an increase in potion level or additional options available due to ever increasing donation level pots, global pots, composing pots, and even pvp token pots in terms of strength.

I'm not suggesting "broken" or overpowered potions but some additional options to spend tokens on. Perhaps some buffs that haven't been added to the game yet ... I'm open to ideas and discussion about it

To be honest there is almost nothing for donators to cash out for with tokens outside of LF and Doubler
