As per feedback buffs, headers and the check all check boxes now have labels that can be clicked.

 

Also if you click on a player name in the list all that players buffs will grey out below, so you can see which they don't have easily.

We have chosen to revert the change 'Players can now attack fellow guild members if they share a PVP Band.' pending further review of the PVP Ladder system next week. More information will be posted about our planned changes when it becomes available.

This update makes a few small changes and the Quick Buff system has been completely reworked to include features from Fallen Sword helper and a nicer UI (As per the Development Roadmap).

 

Now when you go to Quick Buff you will be able to see current buffs on your targets, along side stamina costs and the level that buffs will be cast at (including enhancements, skills, etc). You can also save your selection of buffs in to 'Buff Packs' which can then be used later.

 

Guilds are now limited to sending out 1 invite reminder per day, this was to stop issues with double clicking and spam. Also guild mates who share a PVP Band should now find themselves able to attack their fellow guild mates, to solve the problem of some PVP Bands being populated entirely by a single guild.

 

QUICK BUFF ROADMAP UPDATE

  • Currently active buffs are now displayed for your target(s).
  • Bonuses to buff levels from enhancements, skills and guild structures are now included so you know what level buff you're about to cast.
  • Total stamina cost is now shown for the cast along side current stamina.
  • You can now check-all the buffs or single categories headers.
  • You may now save your buffs in to 'Buff Packs' for repeated use.
GAME CHANGES
  • Guilds can now only send one invite reminder to a player per day.
  • Players can now attack fellow guild members if they share a PVP Band.   (Reverted)
BUG FIXES
  • Equipped item tool tips no longer say 'Click to Learn'.
  • Highlighting a name in the action list will no longer cause you to click it.
  • Fixed some typos and spelling errors around the game.
  • Fixed issue where item tool tips would sometimes not update during crafting.
  • Fixed bug where an incomplete bounty would prevent some future bounties.
  • Fixed issue where players could double click their way in to groups twice.

Greetings, you're incorrect!

 

The winner is rewarded 16 tokens. But the "2 runners up"? ... there is only 1 person in 2nd place and 2 people in joint 3rd place.

 

So your equation would be

16 + 8 + (4 * 2) = 32 tokens

 

32 tokens * 4k = 128k which is 80% of the entry cost of 160k, resulting in 20% of the gold being sunk as intended.

The arenas have now been updated, hopefully addressing the majority of concerns raised on the forums. The following changes have been implemented.

  • Runners up will now receive tokens. Second place will receive 50% and joint third place will receive 25% of the reward.
  • Max item level is no longer tied to join cost / reward.
  • Max item level is now selected at random between 10 and the current top level.
  • Games will spawn every 15 minutes up to a maximum of 30.
  • Some games that spawn will be 16 player instead of 8, with larger rewards.
  • All items are now priced at 20 tokens each, apart from potions which are 40.
  • Craftable items purchased from the arena shop will now always be 'Perfect'.
  • Items in the arena shop are now sorted by item type.
  • Moves in the arena shop now cost 2 tokens each.

The new arenas now give tokens instead of items, gold and moves. These tokens can be spent in the arena shop.
 
BigGrim will be working with player feedback over the next few days to determine which items need their prices increasing / decreasing. We will also be adding some new items to the shop in the following weeks.
 
Tomorrow I'll be doing a bit more work on the system, changing it so runners up in arenas also get lesser token rewards. I'll also make it so arena games that run for 72 hours and don't fill up are closed and entrants refunded. If you have any other feedback regarding the system please let me know!

This update will see the Arena reworked. Each arena will now grant arena token rewards that can be exchanged for gold, items and moves in the arena shop. Arena games will be coming back in a few hours once we've finished setting up the shop and new game types.

 

I've also implemented a small change to the combat system which should mean that attacks that are part of the PVP Ladder will not be Bountyable anymore.

I suspect you'll muddle through with flying colors  ;)  

 

Muddling through things happens to be my speciality.

 

Personally, I would MUCH rather see ALL the development roadmap put on a hiatus for a short (?) time whilst the core features of the FSH were incorporated into the game.

 

While this is possible, I have 2 reasons for not wanting to do this. Firstly, the FSH features are generally quite advanced and aimed at experienced players. Having them in the base game may confuse new players. Secondly, it would be many months of work for very little end result as far as players who already use the FSH are concerned. They wouldn't be getting anything new out of it.

 

Will you be involved with the coding as well Zorg?

 

Yup, my time is freeing up again now Eldevin is out. I was gone for a year and a half building the Hunted Cow and Eldevin websites.

I'll be taking over the Development Roadmap for Hoofmaster. I've updated the list and bumped back all dates to reflect the new time scale. I expect there may be some delays as I'm currently manning quite a few separate projects but I'll do my best and keep you guys informed!
 
The ordering of the roadmap was decided by the community on this thread on which you can also find more details about all the upcoming updates.

Greetings!

 

Your account is not suspended or banned on Eldevin or Hunted Cow Studios. I can only conclude that you have been banned by Cloudflare and the error you're seeing is a Cloudflare error.

 

Please could you screenshot the error you receive, or copy / paste it in full in to this thread and I'll be able to resolve the problem.

Full underscore names will no longer be available, because I stole them all. If your character has been renamed as part of me fixing this bug you can submit a ticket with the new name you want.

Yeah my little bot that keeps the Webserver and Eldevin in sync died last night and it took me a few hours to fix him, poor thing. Meaning friends list and server counts would of been out of sync for a while.

 

He's back up and kicking now. :)
