My composing xp bar marks 490/1000 (32%) and actually looks like 32%. i havent understood if i had to arrive to 1000 for lev 3 or 1000+250 of the prevoius lev 1. in this case why not write 490/1250 or 240/1000 for lev2 (effectivelly only this one is 32%)? thx

The XP is your total experience, and not your experience for the level, but the bar marks your progress through the level. If you look closely you will see that the bar starts at 250 (i.e. the XP to get through the first level) not 0. So at 500, you have made it 1/3 of the way from 250 to 1000.

Congratsulations Wiivja.
I have looked into how changing the 500 factor would change the XP gain. Lowering it to 150 for example (Cell H3 excel file) would give a more noticable XP gain when making pots and also put people to not only make the cheapest pot for XP. You can try it yourself with the Excel File I made ... it contains a XP calculator and table.
Open the link, click file>download to download the excel file to your computer.

Example Experience Table with factor how it is now (500):

Composing looks nice so far, been messing about with a couple of calculators using the formulae that hoof posted a while back for working out xp gain per pot, and got gold cost per pot as well.
Dunno if it would be useful for anyone but is here for anyone to use http://zt.sparkonlin.../calculator.php - should be correct but let me know if its wrong in any way.
Also working on calculator for the fragment cost but limited by the info i have available. so far I have it as:
ROUNDUP((SkillLevel-Offset)/20) * ROUNDUP(Duration/30) = Fragment cost
with offsets being:
common = 0
rare = 50
unique = 125
But unlike the XP formula which uses the total skill level, the fragments are for each individual skill added to the potion
E.g. potion with 2 level 40 skills = 4 common fragments
potion with 1 level 80 skill = 4 common 2 rare
(assuming default duration of 30 minutes)
if anyone has information on what happens when adding more than 2 skills or when legendary/crystaline/super elite fragments get added would be interesting to know
EDIT: Updated the calculator to work out the time taken to compose a potion (correct to information I have to hand)

From what I've seen, the fragment costs are all consistent with what Hoof proposed here: http://forums.hunted...64&hl=composing
The formula you've given are consistent with this.

perhaps I am reading the formula wrong or doing the math wrong or maybe even there is a round up effect but I did a 120 al pot with 120 duration which should result in 20 xp by hoof's formula but I actually got 30 xp.
also does total in the formula mean you could do a 150 al 150 lf and have the plug-in number be 300?

30 is right. You get (120/60 + 120/500) which rounds up to 3, then multiply by 10

so it is a round up effect - interesting. i would not have expected 2.04 to round up

in the Formula the Ceil at the beginning of the formula translates to round up to the nearest integer
This is why no potion gives less than 10xp

Thanks for that, must have missed that when reading through the thread originally. Have added fragment cost to the calculator in line with the numbers given on that post.

I've checked every creature in the game (over the course of several weeks; else I'd have died of boredom ), and I have to say that there aren't many creatures that solemnly drop common items between level 101-400, but I have to add that level 101-200 are probably the worst levels for common drops. After that it gets better.

Reckoning seems to activate on composed AL60. Is it intentional? I thought reckoning was not supposed to activate on composed skills. Actually I can live either way, just want to know for sure which is the case. So please Hoof can you conform either case?
Thanks
