The first item in a list seems to be the default for when double clicking. For example, when you double click on an enemy, the first spell in your bar is used.

While farming, when you double click a plot, it rakes the plot.

After raking, a double click will open the box to place a seed.

This is where everything slows down. The next step is to water the crop. However, pruning is first on the list, and so one must right click, and then select water.

I know this isn't the most important thing to fix, but can water be moved to the top of the list when seeds are first planted? This would make (at least the crops that don't have to be watered more than once) a little less tedious to 'farm', since everything except putting the seed in the slot would be double click-able.

You can drag the item from your inventory onto the plot to speed up farming.

Ex. Double-click plot (rake), drag and drop compost (optional), drag and drop seed, drag and drop watering can.

I know that this doesn't exactly solve what you're suggesting, but it'll help in the mean time.

CTRL+Click also works with farming if you'd prefer that.

Thanks for the input guys. I didn't know about the drag-and-drop one.

I'd also really like to see an option (perhaps a button for farming, like in the crafting professions) where you can "preselect" a type of seed. Then, if you just double click on the plot it'll plant that particular seed. This would make it easier for when you are 'farming' (haha) a particular crop. There could be a second option, further down, "plant specific seed", say, that functions as farming does now.
