all i know is if the rewards arent worth the cost in stam buffs and lost lvls - this pvp league is gonna be an epic failure - i really hope this does not happen

It would be nice if the cows would tell us what the rewards are going to be, seems a bit foolish to have implemented the new pvp updates and seasons without having though of the prizes beforehand.  

 

Also, it would be nice to see some cow feedback on the issues being brought up by the community here in the forums.  They ask for input, and then give us no feedback, which after a while leaves people feeling upset that their questions and concerns are not being addressed by the devs.

One option for skipping players would be a time penalty instead of gold payment. First skip, can't attack again for five minutes. Second skip, ten minutes with each skip adding another five (or whatever) minutes. This would affect both attack rates and maximum benefit of buffs.

Did I miss you guys saying that the skip function was definitely here to stay?

 

I really wish we'd stop discussing the "options" for skipping players, when the truth is, there shouldn't be one. You've opted into a pvp system, and the cows are already affording you the ability to only hit, and be hit, within an acceptable number of levels...let's stop giving players a way to avoid actually putting effort into the system.

 

Get rid of the ability to skip players.

 

(Not so much an attack on you, yote...just making a point and your post was the one that got quoted in the process)

here is my report (from my experience and info from the help of the community, thanks)

 

I spent over 10 000 stamina on this new system

 

pvp season

a huge stamina sink

the more stamina you spend the higher your ranking

many hit offline and unbuffed players x times in a short time (player hitting same player x times in minutes)

current pvp sysytem, the player with the most successful hits and most stamina gets the "highest" rank (I do not agree with this bedause a player has a lot of stamina and hits offline and unbuffed players does not mean he "deserves" the "highest" rank, if another person wants to pass him then he needs to spend more stamina or more successful hits than him, I think this is not pvp, in the old system (pvp ladder) it did not matter if someone had 100 successful hits, you could pass him after few successful hits)

 

bounty board

you can smash a person you do not know on the BB and he can not bounty you

many wait to smash offline and unbuffed players

smashing is with minimal risk now

 

BH and smasher medals lost their 'value':

I got my crystal dominance medal years ago (one of the first players who got bronze)

I only recently got my BH and smasher medal because I stopped pvp years ago after more depressing pvp updates

few weeks ago I got my smasher medal

yesterday I got my BH medal 03:26 26/Jul/2015 You have just been awarded a Bronze Bounty Master medal!

 

I feel ashamed getting the BH medal this way without risk

I smashed over 180 bounties and did not lose any xp until my BH medal

I deeply regret spending 10 000 stamina on this system, was a waste of 4 days stam

 

positive about this system

xp loss on BB if the attacker loses (players told me this and I tried it out, I removed all my gear and hit someone on the BB, you lose xp if you lose a battle)

 

suggestion / feedback

pvp season has "potential" if:

  • bring back xp loss (pvp without xp loss? we already have that, arena and gvg) (players are putting 1 setup and hitting mostly everyone offline and unbuffed many times, win or loss hardly matters because no xp loss)
  • the instant farming is stopped (you can hit multiple players "instantly" as long as you have enough stamina
  • cooldown on attacks (1,2 minute?)

for the bounty board I do not see any "potential"

  • I used 180 smashes without "risk", no xp loss
  • I talked to players who got their BH medal and smasher medal without losing any xp , no "risk"
  • bring back the old BB system, it was better and the medals had 'value'

 

I signed up for a game with this pvp system

I payed money to play the part I like, this pvp system

I do not recognize the game I paid money to play the aspect I want, you removed / changed it completly

 

pvpers used to have their 'territory' and non pvpers got their gvg and arena with no xp loss

but during the years more and more was taken from the pvpers 'territory' and 3 days ago the last thing was taken from the pvpers (xp loss)

 

2 players were nice enough to send me the posts of the pvp forum that was removed and I can not understand why the pvpers opinions were ignored on the new pvp system

 

the non pvpers wanted:

  • no xp loss, they got it (hoof said back then xp loss is staying)
  • no durability loss, they got it (even gvg has durability loss)
  • opt out, they got it (grim said no opt out many times)

pvpers wanted:

  • no changes to the BB, they were ignored, they did not get it

my question to hoof: why are you watering pvp down, is not 5+ years of watering down enough? I want to know if I can spend my money on the aspect I want (pvp) or need to move elsewhere

 

I listened to you and I did as you said and gave this system a chance but it did not work, as it currently stands I am about to ask for my account to get closed and will soon send a ticket after talking to guild and friends

 

thank you for giving me the opportunity to give my opinion / feedback and I will follow the next updates to decide what to do

Okay but i'm constantly hit by all the EoC and you aren't hit whatsoever...so much easier for lower levels. Also buffs are more demanding...deflect...etc

Well I still don't agree with this system, but I've spent to much time and money here to just throw it all away...

So all I'm asking is that you, HCS, rethink this a little... I can handle the pillow fighting I suppose, I'll just stick to bounty hunting rather than seasons... But as far as seasons go, out of the top 25, initiated hits range from 400-800... Or 20,000-40,000 stamina... Don't you think this a little bit biased...? Think of the new players... Your basically telling them to be successful in PvP, they have to donate hundreds of dollars just to upgrade their max stamina... Regardless of how good they are... Most likely that will just drive them away...

So why not do a few tiers! Starting at level 100 since that can be achieved in just a few days and honestly anyone below that would just fall in levels very rapidly below that...

Tiers--# of people that advance(based on 25 people going on to Titan league)100-249--2 advance to Titan250-499--2 advance to Titan500-749--3 advance to Titan750-999--3 advance to Titan1000-1499--3 advance to Titan1500-1999--4 advance to Titan2000-2499--4 advance to Titan
2500-2599--4 advance to Titan
*tiers can be altered, but I believe these give everyone a fair chance to reach Titan league based on gear and such. Without breaking it down to small to where it was like the old system.

Once you get to titan league, it will once again pertain to who has the most stamina.. But HCS seems to be stuck on that idea?

This would help give everyone a chance to reach Titan league. Instead of solely relying on who is the highest level, has the most money, or most stamina...

Now regarding the pillow fighting... Opt out has been added.. So HCS... Please add xp loss/durability loss back into seasons... And remove bountys from rated attacks as well please...

I realize it's not perfect but it is after all just a suggestion... Let me know what you think... Thanks!!

I really like this idea, sure it can be editted to be better but generally its a very good idea, it doesn't have to be divided like that from the beginning of the season but at the end of the season let's add a new tab that shows who from these tiers is getting to titan league and that should be a fair chance for everyone , what does everybody think ? Speak up :)

agree, a game poll to ask the community their opinions would be the best thing to do with a big update like this

I agree, a lot of players (for and against PvP ) don't visit the forums

that is true

 

I know players who do not read the forum and for 3 years I did not too

 

you reach more players with a game poll than with a forum poll

 

more players give their oppinion, more feedback for HCS to know what players are thinking

what about a limit of hit x day or x season?

if u add in not being able to hit each person more than 1ce per hr would help a lot

i got a side question - if a player attacks me and loses and i get gold --does it go towards my bounty total ? or is it just when i inititate?

something to be fair for all....not all have lots of max stam....it's have to be calculated by max 2k stam x day.... is the stam gain in 24h  for "all players"

So hoof, I have listened to what you said and tried the new PvP system, I have reached crystal league in the seasons and also tried the new bounty board so here's my opinion:-

☆PvP seasons :
○I have got over the fact that PvP seasons are a replacment for the ladder, just as long as it is a replacment for the ladder not for all of PvP.
○The success rate of it in my opinion depends on the rewards, plz don't just make it pots, this a PvP season not a global event, make it something that would actually mean an important thing for a PvPer, I would be happy with fsps myself lol as I am literally going broke in a month or so xD, but seriously fsps is the common language for all, even levellers, it would just attract more players in my opinion.

☆Bounty Board:
° now that's really broke, I don't like it by all means, its very bad in my opinion and the old bounty board is way better and if you give us the old bounty board that would make a lot and believe me a lot of PvPers from quitting, I am PvPer and most if not all if my friends are PvPers, old bounty board will make a lot of people happy, we just want that.


What I want:-
▶Good rewards for PvP seaons (not pots and inventing items like the old ladder).
▶Old bounty board back.
▶A few tweaks to the PvP seasons but this time listen to PvPer's notes.
