Update v2.036
#1
Posted 14 May 2012 - 15:25
We have now implemented the Guild Conflict Changes that were discussed in the Hunted Cow IRC Chat. As discussed before the changes we have made are as follows:
Change level range to the following:
25 - 300 (+/- 25)
301 - 700 (+/- 50)
701+ (+/- 100)
Require more than 1 participant by limiting the amount of attacks that can be done by a single attacker to 25. This restriction is not placed on defenders.
Change Guild RP gained for winning/drawing as follows:
50 Attacks
If attacker wins: Attacker gains 10 Guild RP
If it is a draw: Defender gains 5 Guild RP
If defender wins: Defender gains 10 Guild RP
75 Attacks
If attacker wins: Attacker gains 15 Guild RP
If it is a draw: Defender gains 8 Guild RP
If defender wins: Defender gains 15 Guild RP
100 Attacks
If attacker wins: Attacker gains 20 Guild RP
If it is a draw: Defender gains 10 Guild RP
If defender wins: Defender gains 20 Guild RP
Each guild that completes all attacks gains 2/3/4 Guild RP (based on 50/75/100 Attacks).
Make the cost a fixed amount to initiate a Guild Conflict.
We hope you all enjoy the new changes to the Guild Conflicts!

So someone of 750 can hit me, but I can't hit back in conflict?
No, as it's based on the lowest level of the two players when determining the range.

Still showing 500k and 50k initiation costs.
It should be showing as 50k gold now

Makes everyone else feel like their opinion doesn't matter.
Secondly, you should mention in the news feed that costs are back to 1 FSP + 50k gold. otherwise you'll get 10+ messages about the costs. Also, try to explain the bands a bit better. I was concerned about that as well.

You guys even said most people could not get into IRC chat, so making changes based on that one / two conversations is not a good idea ... for the future.
Makes everyone else feel like their opinion doesn't matter.
The proposed changes were posted on the forum to discuss before we implemented them.

If possible can you fix the homepage or make an area so everyone can see what conflicts are going on? This once existed on the homepage but is no longer since the new update. I'm sure many who log in are curious who's doing what with whom... LOL
+1 on the update again and love the price change as well way to go big guy !

Okay ... but you guys for the large part never responded to or ignored the feedback. so .. ?
Are active gvgs going to be subjected to the same rules or no?

No, as it's based on the lowest level of the two players when determining the range.
Please elaborate on this. I see nothing about this in the update description.
I still think expanding the level ranges that much is a very bad decision. plus or minus 25 was plenty already.

Someone who is level 750 from my understanding will only be able to target those who are in range from levels : 701 through 850 from here up so when you get to 701 make sure you have an awesome offline set lol =)

Now that all Guilds need at least 2 to 4 hitters given the 50, 75, 100 hits / win / loss
It's vital that the level ranges increase. If one person could do all the work than expanding the level ranges as is would not be a good idea. However... Since you will need 2 participants to complete a 50 hit gvg, 3 participants to complete a 75 hit gvg, and 4 participants to complete a 100 hit gvg, it was vital that the level ranges be expanded as they were...
Again Great work HCS, very good ...

Despite having explained it numerous times in the last topics, seems bands still aren't clear.
People level 300-325 can hit down 25, up 50,
People level 700-750, can hit down 50, up 100
Thanks for the changes, Hoof, and the 1 fsp +50k is pretty fair.

edit: adjusting the down hitting to the startlevel of your band obviously for those out of range of the lower bands
