The Shadowlord has sent its most sinister and cuthroat thieves, villainous rogues and spineless cutpurses to pillage the realms greatest armories and vaults in hopes of weakening the efforts of the lands heroes, we must not let them get away with our best crafters war gear!

There are 12 LE sets across the ranges.

ideally wed need one at about lvl 25 and then another at every 150 to 250 levels in gap.

each tier unlocked would grant a chest containing 5 random parts of any of the sets.

you would not get the same item twice in a single chest opened.

so a max of 25 items from a possible 5 chests if ruby was unlocked and you qualified for ruby.

people with lower back packs could open one until they traded or composed their 5 items at a time or kept what they want etc, then open another chest.

the given chests would be bound and stackable so one slot is taken up, the LE items would obviously be unbound so people could get or sell what they need, this would also allow for some rarity, some people may not get the set they want, it is possible, this allows for some gear to hold value and the global WOULD return im sure, id say most would get a set in likely hood though it isnt 100%, once trading of course.

gives everyone equal opportunity for sales without a major flooding of a farmed LE.

ill add more if ive left anything out.

¨You, BigGrimPardoux and 4 others like this¨

I think that answers your question. :)

Yeah, I think it's a good idea. What would people think about adding older sets to the invention process as well?

This would take a bit of time to set up as it does take a while to build an entirely new Legendary events worth of beasties and sets but I do think it's a worthwhile idea.

yes, but I'd prefer using total sets instead of just 1 piece of this and one piece of that set.

That way the whole set remains in demand instead of just one or two items.

*Edit*

Since I am wondering this for a long time. Why does it take so long to make new sets? (no judgement meant!!!) But to me it does not look that difficult to (partly) automate it. If it is the artwork, I am sure some players in the community would want to help with that for free, or an honorful mention)

I guess that would depend on what old sets you were referring to ?

Old, but still freely available, sets ? - sure

Old, but scarce and not freely available ? - no

I.E. If it's gonna need older LE sets to invent, then make those available in advance (either on the same day, or the previous week or whatever ... )

The idea will fail miserably if the inventing gear isn't available - and the idea is a good one, doesn't deserve to fail ;)

Homer : Marge, don't discourage the boy. Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals .. except the weasel.

Eddie Izzard : The National Rifle Association say that guns don't kill people, people do. But I think the gun helps, you know ? I think it helps. I think just standing there going "BANG" - that's not going to kill too many people, is it ?

I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but it seems that everything I eat lately turns to poo ...

agreed, its a good addition BG tho the gear needs to be out there at same time or before, you prob already realised that, just adding to the importance of what pardoux said :)

That's exactly what I'm thinking, yeah. Anything that can make older set a bit more valuable is worthwhile, plus, before new recipes are released with older gear, I can purge the AH of that gear to ensure those players selling it don't lose these items at a decreased cost before they come back on. Basically stopping those who are lucky enough to be on at release from clearing the AH out and jacking the prices up. Helps prevent bad feeling.

My concern is about the number of different resources we would open at the Chests, what amount are you thinking?

Lets say the items would need 3 to 4 different resources to make (not considering old LE gear yet, only the ones on the chests), 3-4 x 12 sets = 36~48 different kinds of resources opened, if they are all different from each other, will really decrease the chance of creating a set on a single Event, but we will not know what we have until we open all 5 Chests.

So, lets say we opened all 5 chests (25 items to invent with), you got 2 combinations (6~8 items used), we would still need to hold 19~17 items on the BP until the Event comes back and we get another chance to invent again.

That could kill the chance of people with small BPs to hold any of those items for, lets say, 6 months until the Event comes back again.

-

I really like the idea, we just need to sort this out.

this is a very good point, what will the chests drop if they dont actually drop the new sets :P

edit: maybe itd drop say 5 damaged items from a chest eg 'damaged war sargeants halberd' for one and youd need to use eg 3 balaurs weapons with it to make 'war sargeants halberd' ? that kind of thing?

edit 2: until its undamaged stats would be halved or something?

for any that wish to comment, is it fine in its original form or the resource/inventing option works more for you, does it overcomplicate at all, nice feedback so far, this or a similar idea could def bring a new element to the already existing globals.
