In this latest update, we have made the planned changes to the PvP Protection upgrade so that it no longer protects gold.

However, we have also dramatically reduced the Fallen Sword Points cost of the upgrade from:

+24 Hours PvP Protection for 7 Fallen Sword Points
+7 Days PvP Protection for 30 Fallen Sword Points
+28 Days PvP Protection for 100 Fallen Sword Points

To:

+24 Hours PvP Protection for 2 Fallen Sword Points
+7 Days PvP Protection for 10 Fallen Sword Points
+28 Days PvP Protection for 30 Fallen Sword Points

We've also added 3 new Gold Upgrades for PvP Protection which you can check out by clicking here.

With the Gold Upgrades added and current MP prices we can now get 28 days PvP protection for the equivalent of just 15 FSP :(

I can see the PvP aspect of the game dying right off... sad times...

There are very few PvP targets these days anyway with the decreasing number of active players and this is going to reduce the targets further.

Nevermind,

Thanks all the same for continuing to work on and update the game

Merry Christmas

Looks good, Hoof.
I bet the Bounty Board will be more active now..
Except we'll need to bring another inventable Bound Purse potion for the potion makers. Because they get their gold while they're offline waiting for potion sales to come in. It would be unfair for them to be robbed from their gold and efforts while they can't defend themselves. I suggest in addition to the Arena Bound Purse potion, an inventable one.

Although... that may not solve it. Everyone knows who the potion makers are, so they might get targeted and leave the game, as Carpy says.

So if I read this right, PvP protection only protects a player's xp BUT they can still be attacked. Does the attacker still gain PvP prestige if they win or is PvP prestige not available when the defender has PvP protection?

It's a start I guess. Is there any plan to remove smasher hits from the bounty board? It would be a shame for someone to try pvping then give up when they get 100 stammed off the bounty board by a random player/s going for smasher medal.

I have never been big into PvP, it is not a part of the game that I have had the time to experiment with much. However, I have to agree with the above comments. By not protecting gold most potion makers will not sell them for gold as they are likely to lose what their hard work has created for them. I feel that this will drive the price of potions through the roof or alternatively cause people not to brew the potions possibly causing less people to play it that is the part of the game that brings them back.

Potion making is also a part of the game. Titan hunting changes recently have opened it up to a greater variety of guilds even if not everyone likes the changes and now potion making is being shut off for a lot of people, definitely for people that count on the gold sales while they are not online.

Personally, I try not to carry a lot of gold so as not to be a target for PvP and I am more likely to purchase the XP protection with lower prices
