The entire concept of Rangers and Mages wearing lighter armor is so that they deliver more damage, especially so with their AOE skills. When you give heavy armor wearers the strongest AOE skill in the game, you break the whole system. Please consider that fact and nerf Maelstorm, the most overpowered AOE skill in the game.

It's not really overpowered, it just depends how you build your character. Lethal concoction is extremely viable with the right talents, and so are every other class/playerstyle's AOE attacks. Maybe you should consider that mage/range AOE skills need buffs?

Character Classes:
There are 6 Character Classes in Eldevin. Unlike many other games, there are no restrictions to equipping items or armor. So if you want your Mage to wield a 2 handed sword, you can. Also there are few restrictions in using skills and abilities. So a Warrior can cast a fireball if he wants to. Although he won't be as powerful as a Mage casting a fireball, he can still do it. This gives you options regarding your style of gameplay.
The six classes are:
Warrior: (Melee Damage) Allows you to take down multiple targets.
Templar: (Tank) This class can draw enemies and take their damage.
Assassin: (Melee Damage) Mastery of quick damage and damage over time.
Ranger: (Ranged Damage) Specializes in shooting with bows with powerful abilities.
Mage: (Spell Damage) Can use powerful magical spells to deal large amounts of damage.
Prophet: (Healer) Heals your allies with powerful spells.

Can't agree with this post sorry...by that armored logic you are then saying that prophets should be able to out dps warrior just because they have light armor. The whole concept of light,med,heavy armor is suiting a class by its actual style,not to change the outcome of DPS.

Read it again. I said Mages should out AOE a Warrior in damage, and so should Rangers. Warriors should not kill faster than any other AOE class because they have more defense. More defense equals more mobs. So, the effectiveness is multiplied. That's just not right.

Umm no...mages and rangers get lighter gears as they are ranged classes and it suits the claass and can somewhat keep you at range with skills while damaging you. warriors need the armor because they are in MELEE RANGE at all times..

Is there anything melee about mobs in this game? Many melee mobs still hit you from 3 or 4 inches away.

I think you meant 3-4 yards away? Anyways,mages and rangers can keep you stuck at a distance (out of reach) and continue to hit you,while warrior are just sitting there getting smacked during a channel time. For this reason! Warriors get Heavy armor. For this exact reason rangers got a storm buff also due to a long channel time they go through.

I'm a genius, i'm guessing you're not a warrior, how come classes only call for other classes to be nerfed, rather than their own class? be constructive and not selfish

I really (?) cant understand where this all "please nerf" coming from...
First there is "we're (he is) too strong, please nerf this and that" and later everyone will meet in cave
and find that "omg before we could make this cave in 20 min now we cannot even pass 1st boss"
Couldnt it be rather "please power up this and that ?" - instead ?

It is true that the heavy armor has a huge factor. If you want to see the effect, see how many mobs a mage can kill versus how many a warrior will kill, before the character dies, when the mobs are at the same level as the character. The light armor characters can AoE at a distance...but this applies mainly in dungeons where a templar can hold the mobs with aggro.
If you want to test, I suggest going to blossom ridge and hoovering up packs of Owlbears and Owlbear Yearlings. Take both a warrior and a mage at the same level, and have them alternately (take turns) doing this. I believe you will see that the heavy armor has a huge impact -- in the context of grinding mobs.
The flip side to this is, the repair costs for warriors in dungeons is much higher than the repair cost to mages in dungeons.

smack a zirconia on and just blizzard and dragon breath. no need for templars. If anything i'd say the heavy armor isn't a big enough factor,mages and rangers can get the same defense as a warrior using gems...

i dont mind if they nerf Maelstrom dmg by -20% than i put some points in Concoction mastery. But now after health on hit balance Maelstrom is not OP as was before in group of mobs coud heal 800 hp per second now 200hp

Warriors are meant to be the prime AOE class,reducing maelstrom even a little would defeat the purpose of this. Lethal con is decent,nothing special to make it worth using for AOE grinding generally though. I Vote no on proposal 1! lol
