Wiki is slowly getting outdated also. I rarely use it anymore, as there is nothing for players beyond level 1000

Its a bit sad as I really liked the World Area Maps and tbh the maps are a lot clearer then those on the guide. I always have problems locating the access points on the Guide Maps

Feature I am looking for right now is getting lists of potions by the skill.  Additionally, a quick way to sort through item sets.   I'm surprised niether of these have been added to the UFSG

Rubicksman's fallenswordcalculators.com has been down since at least last night too.  He's inactive in the game, but I just emailed him about it right before getting on the forum and seeing this.

 

It appears the wiki and his fscalc is actually hosted at the same place, so I guess even though the domain is registered to him, HCS is hosting it.

I got an email back from Rubicksman that said his hosting company is moving servers, and it was only supposed to take a few hours, and that he would look into it.

 

 

Edit: He replied again that he forgot the site is being hosted by HCS, so we should contact Hoof.

 

 

Heyyy Hoofmaster!  Or other HCS people... please fix the Wiki and FSCalc sites.  Thank you.

There looks to be an issue with the server that hosts the wiki. I've put in a reboot request for it now so hopefully it will be back up soon

The UFSG is also outdated on many things.

 

However, it at least has all the areas down. from 1040's to EOC there seems to be no content on the Wiki, which is very sad.

It takes to much work to put a map in wiki.

 

That is an excuse. It becomes a huge pain when your trying to navigate from one area to the next quickly to check monster stats. Have to use USFG to do that now.

My reply to that is:

The wiki is player-maintained.  Since you deem it so necessary to have all monsters in the wiki, I guess if I check, you've filled in all the blanks up to your current VL of 1091, right?  *checks*  Oops! The last monster in the wiki is level 970.  I guess that means you want everything to be there for you, but you don't want to help others by contributing content yourself?

Oh? What's out of date? As far as I am aware, all Realms and Creatures are up to date. Pretty sure we have all the LEs and whatnot in there and all but the most recent potions.

I know this is an old thread, but for me and a few others it seems, the wiki just will not load. I always try to update it when I can, at least for quests which is the one thing I know how to do, though formatting is not my strong point.

 

Anyway I keep getting the following errors...

 

Database error

A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was:

(SQL query hidden)

from within function "CategoryViewer::doCategoryQuery". MySQL returned error "2006: MySQL server has gone away (localhost)".

 

Now and again it does load, have cleared my cache, tried it in different browsers. Could some-one please tell me what else I have to do to get it to work?
