Love that little feature! Please DON'T do away with the original guild chat as it has the lovely Mass Message feature that we use in-house.
Yeah I think both options are useful - don't see any harm in having both tbh
Also the new 'Guild Chat' option under the map might help encourage new players to find a guild as if they're not in a guild when they click it, it suggests they take a look at the 'Join Guild' page

Just a suggestion for it...you should make a permission to make it so you can have *guild chat moderators*. Maybe? Also how do you get to leader chat 0.0.

Leader chat doesn't work with the new system (yet), but you can still access it via the old guild chat page

I have waited for this for a long time! Thank you!
But you just seemed to have copied and pasted the Global Chat system without properly linking them. I still see "Game Admin", "Chat Moderator", etc. legends below the chat and my guild mates are not showing in purple, as they should. My color (orange) shows normally, though.
I have a suggestion, if anyone is interested: How about adding the abillity to designate colours to members in guild chat? Here is an explanation:
Let's say I have the following ranks in my guild: Guild Founder, War General, Recruiter, Knight, Squire, Firefly.
When giving permission to ranks, I could designate a certain color to some ranks. For example, I will make Guild Founder, War General and Recruiter purple, for Leaders (and it will show below chat as Purple = Leaders). I will also leave "Knight", "Squire" and "Firefly" untouched, and they will show with a normal white color.
The Guild will start with 1 available "Color Designation" with the abillity to buy 2 more in the Guild Upgrades. (These are just suggested numbers).
That way, a guild can personalize their Guild Chat and help new players see who's who. It might also help sink a few more FSPs/gold.
What do you think?

i hope the current leader chat becomes like general chat (with no deletion after 2 days and the archive becomes 2-3 pages or so) since if some councillors and leaders doesnt online for 2days straight, they'll have failed to see those posts, which may be an important one...
another alternative is to PM all councillors and leaders with that message so that message will stay in their log messages for a long time (since log message archive/pages is long too), but doing so will make the leader chat just a secondary tool to us leaders/councillors, right?
what is more server-friendly? the current general chat with fixed archive pages or the current leader chat with a condition that any post after 2days will be deleted?
and is that suggestion worth it for your server loads?

Okay so if you post in one chat it shows in both. The only real difference I see is that you can read one from top to bottom, and the other from bottom to top. So I must be missing something. Can someone explain it to me in little words so it makes sense?

Love the new guild chat, but when I enter something in the chat it doesn't show it, I have to go look down with my mouse.

The new guild chat works great! Not having any of these problems like the ones said above.
I don't think it would be wise to have a guild chat moderator though, just doesn't seem right. If they annoy you, boot em.

You only want a guild chat moderator so you can ban Iron and I
the guild chat works exactly the same as the global chat it will scroll upwards as more people enter messages onto it, very simple to use really, maybe you need to do a hard refresh to get it to work? to access the new style guild chat select the button at the top of the global chat screen which will flick you from the global chat to your own guild's chat.

Nice addition. Even though I do not use the global chat much, personally, I find this useful. Thanks!

People who want to change the tex size and colour of the guild chat names, time and messages can copy paste this into custom theme and change the colors.
You can use the name of colours from this list: http://www.w3schools..._colornames.asp
or you can use the hexadecimal colour equivalent: http://www.colorpicker.com/ (#B0E849 is the colour then, copy and paste, don't forget the #)
#guild-chat-div { font-size: 15px; color: blue; }
This changes the text colour of the messages players write to "blue" and text size to "15" pixels.
.chat-username a, .chat-report a { color: yellow; }
This changes the name colour in guild chat to "yellow"
.chat-self .chat-username a { color: orange!important; }
This changes your own name colour to "orange"
.chat-time { color: purple; }
This changes the time of the message colour to "purple"
