[livingtarget]

We now provide a simple diagnostics tool with Eldevin for people that have problems with the game.
The tool should automatically update itself when you update the Eldevin client and can be found in the installation directory.
 
Run eldevindiag.jar by double clicking or by command line: 

java -jar eldevindiag.jar

Features

• Clear the Java web cache and Eldevin cache
• Validate files in the Eldevin cache (only deletes invalid files)
• Preload game files (download all the game files)
• Display System Information
• Run Diagnostics
• View log files (New)
• Change graphics settings (New)

You do not need to have the Eldevin client installed to run this tool. You can run it if you use the browser version as well.

tool is in the installed directory,just open the eldevin file directory and u see it

Thank you so much. Some one go DC and after 10 min. of waiting was replaced. He connected b4 the dungeon started and i offered my spot in team but he said he was having issues and would be best to go w/o him. I will referrer this to people I come across. I really don't want people giving up.

Well, trying to come back to the game, after moving country and ending up being months without Internet access (still only on a dodgy WiFi access, but better than none).

 

So, both on browser and on the latest downlad client (which downloaded in 6 minutes), the screen stops at 40%, when it arrives to download.

Followed the support forum issues, arrived to this post.

Downloaded the tool and running it now.

Nothing wrong before the preloading, however arriving to preloading, I found it to be exceedingly slow, which might explain why the loading screen was stuck at 40 %; specifically, it varies between 12 and 100 kb/s ...

 

Could I suggest making a download file with ALL preload files, to be installed with the client itself ?

Was not having any problems but decided to try the preload feature.  Great tool that I never knew existed and always wanted, guess I will be using this from now on.

It took a while to update but I think the new diagnostic tool is now live. The updated version downloaded when I launched the game just now.

 

Is it still not updating for you? Remember to launch the game to get the updated version. You can always use the link in the first post to get it manually.

hmmmm, downloaded it manually and i see it now with the extra options, the one in the eldevin install directory seems to still be the old version, dont think that is intended but seems to be what happened, ty though, the new version is very good :-)
