Why not both?

did anyone read the last couple of sentences in my post #252..where i agreed with the post above that was calling for both..events should be for everyone..which includes "both" ... i am trying to look out for everyone..but yes..more so to the newer players that we need to keep..hopefully when Hoof finally makes them live...we can all see how this is going to go..until then..me included,  probably need to be quiet..and wait and see...

I'm loving all this speculation about what if THIS, or what if THAT ?

Perhaps Hoof has more smarts than we're giving him credit for ? - Perhaps the Daily Events / Quests will use no more stamina that a rookie player can regenerate in 24 hrs ?

All that said (above), players have a CHOICE to upgrade their base stamina - it doesn't always need to be paying real money for it - and, let's be honest, why should (trying to think of a suitable example here) the dole bludger (who's happy to sit on his ass and get something for nothing, without ever having to work for it) get the same "quality of life" as someone who's busted their gut to better themselves ?

Homer : Marge, don't discourage the boy. Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals .. except the weasel.

Eddie Izzard : The National Rifle Association say that guns don't kill people, people do. But I think the gun helps, you know ? I think it helps. I think just standing there going "BANG" - that's not going to kill too many people, is it ?

I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but it seems that everything I eat lately turns to poo ...

this is imaginary Tommy

homeless-person-sleeping-on-a-wall-outsi

it is his opinion this ristorante will get more people to visit their place of business if they cater to people in his situation

my point being that to stay open they must generate a profit, and you can't do that by catering to players like imaginary Tommy

wow...super duper low blow...way below the belt..to me a homeless person...you can disagree with my posts..but to make it personnal..??? yikes

Agreed on at a 100%, though I do want to make a few comments here. Those that have upgraded already have advantages in many other parts of the game. Not saying they should not have an advantage here, but as I have expressed many times before, this game needs fresh blood. If new players have a chance in these competitive daily quests there is more chance of them sticking around.

That was kinda my point, yoda dear. This isn't the place to be calling people out based on their personal RL issues. It's a game, where we should be having fun and putting life's trials and tribulations on a back burner for a bit.

I've been where you are in my life, and I can empathize with you. And I believe that people should be judged solely on their character, not their financial situation, their beliefs, or stuff like that.

I'm sorry you felt I was attacking you, as I was merely attempting to steer this conversation back to the topic at hand, instead of who is a have or a have not.

Since I began playing FS in 2008 it seems to me that there have been a number of new players start playing FS and not even burn their 500 stam they had to start. Perhaps the Daily Events will add a dimension to FS that will keep more new players around, perhaps not. That remains to be seen, but I would hope it does.

I have tried ALL aspects of the game and now I play what parts I enjoy (read leveling) New players will now have that one extra thing to try. WTG Oh Great Highland Coos!!!  :D

Could we possibly get an event!!?? Anything to help pass the time while waiting.... ( would rather it not be a Fragment event ) but even that's better than nothing...
