Hi,
I had a question: suppose I had a script and I wanted to check that it is legal, what should I do? Who should I send it to for approval?

Thank you. I logged in a ticket and it appears that absolutely no script other than FSHelper is allowed after all (actually, I think I read that somewhere, but I was hoping there's some room for negotiation on a case-by-case basis). I can now only hope they will eventually implement in FSHelper something similar to what I wanted to have...

What features did the Script you wanted approved include?


Well, it contained some ease of use features for GvG fights (ability to read buffs and attack selected players from a single place). So you still have to push buttons and make decisions yourself , but instead of going from tab to tab pressing F5 and attack buttons, you get all the buttons you need to press in one place and you don't have to keep a million tabs open at the same time if attacking multiple guilds. It's basically a set of shortcuts for the repetitive actions involved in GvG-ing. FSHelper already has plenty such shortcuts, for example those trade/send message/quick buff links you see next to player names everywhere.

But that's besides the point. They didn't reject the script, they rejected the very idea of using a script (other than the FSHelper). I'm not sure they even looked at it... I guess it's easier to keep safe of the game-breaking scripts like that, just reject everything.

If you believe this would be well received as part of fallensword helper, you could submit the idea and potential code as an enhancement.
