Show the level requirements on item in game you can buy. For example : You find an item on the TN that looks super, you really want it and buy the item. As soon as it hits your inventory though, you notice you need to be a specific level way above what you are. If you could see the required level for the item before you buy it .. You may not have, or at least not yet and you would have gotten something you could use at the moment. This is something the game has been able to use for years.
Upcoming Updates: What would you like to see next?

I still think the development roadmap idea would be great, it gives you guys a list of issues to reference and try to prioritize for the game and it gives the player base an idea of what if anything you guys are working on and let's us have a vague sense of direction with things. It helps us have some idea of what is being worked on and when we can see it in the game if at all.
Plus it gives us a list where we can let you guys know what WE think is the most needed which helps the players feel listened to and happy. Happy customers = more players, more players = happy cows

And it would still be really helpful for (even as a paid service) a Race change option. Some people may be bored being an elf and not being able to heal really without potions, or a spirit or demon or whatever and want something to freshen their character up. A lot of other online games allow a similar service so that you can experience a new aspect of the game without having to go through all the work of just making a new character and catching it up to the level of the character you would want to re customize.
Something like that could be really convenient and welcomed for people. Maybe someone is tired of being a juggernaut and wants to try crit hit, or vice versa. Or wants to try going from Angel to Demon or the other way around. It could help bring in money for you guys and be a breath of fresh air for people who feel their characters may have gotten a little boring but can't bear to go through 5,10,15,75 K levels again to replace their characters just for the convenience of a new class.
Since a lot of the player base has moved on to other games or that nasty little thing called "Real life" this may give them some incentive to come back, or brush off the dust and jump back into their characters again. I know from talking to a lot of the current players that are left, and from my own experience, one of the biggest DE-motivators to playing again regularly is the prospect of having to go through all the work of leveling up again. Especially since there are not easily accessible information resources in the game any more. And for whatever reason Gothador is the only HCS game (more or less) that does not have a staff designed Wiki to help people find what they want before frustration kicks in and they say " I'll come back to it later" and never do.

I also have been out of the game for over 2 yrs. I've had depression (medicated) for at least 15 yrs, but, on being told my cancer had turned aggressive and was now terminal - I hit a DEEP low (wasnt helped by 6-8 other chronic problems).
The last 3 times I subbed a char for 30 days. on 2 of those occasions I never played it at all, and on the other 1 I played for about 1 hr.
IDEAS (supplemental)
YES - Raiders, BUT, most of what they carry isn't of any further use. How come the raiders still have stocks of Stuff from critters who haven't invaded in yrs, BUT, don't have stocks from new critters who do invade.
New quests
About 3 yrs ago I did a comprehensive suggestion about Advanced+ skills. Some where extensions to existing skills, others were new. We NEED those skills to use out excess points. Such skills would be level Dependant, maybe Limited to 5th Tier. Maybe also a quest B4 they can be used. Some skills would be extensions on existing skills, BUT, would require the existing Skill be maxed B4 they could be used.
A new cult quest, BUT like personal quests it should have a minimum level. Having just checked the top cults list - the top 10 (probably all cults whose CS didn't get scrapped along with all the Cult XP), a minimum level of 10K would be a good start, or maybe 15 or 20K. MUCH harder to reach.
As a reward we could have our own Cleric
For a 2nd cult quest we could get our own shop - BUT - as each shop has different stuff and you have to travel to them, having a "general Store" in the CS would be silly. What I suggest is we have a "Pawn Shop". That is, we cannot buy at the shop, but we can sell excess inventory to save having to go outside to do it.
New items, using new mixers or metals.
We NEED something between the top 2 metals. the jump is enormous. Peeps have been asking 4 this 4 yrs.
I understand you have BRONZE ore/metal in one or more other games and that the excuse is that ores have melted together. Therefore Braskin (tell him to put the realms in as well :-) ) could be the home for such ore/metal.
2-3 yrs ago I documented better Mana (tell hoof to put Mana in the spell checker) and Health potions. 10K is nowt these days when viled some have over a million MP and hundreds of thousands of HP (and can lose over 100K in 1 go).

Sorry for the caps, but. FINISH 5TH TIER!
Level 2 Adanced skills could be 5th tier only - that gives them there own skills or skill boosts.

1/ Make the dropdown of characters alphabetical - its hell looking through it when you have over 80 of em..
2/ Suggested reward for new cult quest - We could do with our own CLERIC in the CS.
3/ SECOND suggested new CS feature from a cult quest, A SELL BACK shop, ie, you cant buy anything from it - but you can sell any excess kit.
Both 2 & 3 should be hard work, and costly in GP.
Call the shop in 3 a Pawn Shop.

I think someone has to liberate iago from the dungeon before any of this has a chance to be implemented. He started the thread and vanished, and has been MIA ever since

Hey, Iago.. Any updates to any of this? I'm starting to think that your "increased time alloted for Gothador" was from 5 minutes to maybe 10 minutes.
I know that some suggestions aren't possible and I know that others will take a lot of time, but keeping us updated on anything would be appreciated.
