If the guide is correct, there are 910 hammers in the game. Enough for three maxed out.

Actually, they were.Surprised that existing Inferno Hammers in the AH weren't cancelled before this upgrade
Constructive feedback please.Sorry but what an epic fail for what could have been a potentially brilliant idea. As the Top Gear crew used to say ambitious but rubbish

T1 = 3 inferno hammers. +1 Stam Gain
T2 = 3 T1 hammers (9) +2 Stam Gain
T3 = 3 T2 hammers (27) +4 Stam Gain
T4 = 3 T3 hammers (81) +6 Stam Gain
T5 = 3 T4 hammers (243) +8 Stam Gain
Great Artwork! I would have loved to see some animation, some sparkle, something, in the higher tiered hammers. Like the last batch of Ladder Crystal gear with stam gain rewards, these will entice very few even at the lower ranges. The FSG will reveal the community's judgement in a short amount of time. Why would anyone spend stam to gain +3 after compiling 243 hammers instead of using that stam to level up and collect any number of stam gain gear that gives +3 or more? I would suggest to the author of this update that they rethink the stam gain, maybe even increase the level of the higher tiered hammer so that it might inspire players of ALL levels.

My feedback. I guess that those that want to make lots of fsp over these type of "events" will not agree with me. But why was this solution chosen? Why not something like a quest like upgrade process that any player in this game can go through to upgrade his/her hammer? You encourage game play with it, and everybody has a fair chance to make one.

Suggestion !
I have an idea that will probably make this update so much better.
Lets also have Tiers for the Steamworks Cuirass Armor.
With both these epics now having “Tiers” lets make them the first Epic Set
So Tier 1 Inferno Hammer and Tier 1 Steamworks Cuirass Would give a set bonus
i.e Tier 2 of both through tier 5 of both equal there own set and upgraded set bonuses .
Tiers have to be equal and Set bonus stats can vary ( Stamina gain and/or Stamina could be included) * could also lead to new enhancements
Think about it

Making some items expensive is a good idea, but any epic that requires 243 not trivially acquired items has got to phenomenal, WAY better than any existing epic, and especially WAY better than any existing epic in the same slot.
+8 stam gain would be a good start, but probably not even close to enough.

You could improve the stats on the higher tiers instead, but then there's the power creep issue.

I love the idea of an epic set. I have always thought the dragon draped epics should have been a set.
The only issue is for them to be viable for me the combined items and set bonuses have to exceed +7 stamina gain per hour. For some level 2500 and beyond players lucky enough to have the Ridged Plate Cuirass it would have to be more than +11 stamina gain per hour to be viable. And that is just to be useful. Even then is it worth the amount of resources it would require? Very questionable. If the cows can give numbers that make it worth it then the idea is sound.

We've always said no to epic sets. That ain't changed. Sorry.
Doesn't have to give any more Stamina or gain, if thats the problem. Even regular bonus like other sets have.
So maybe people would use epics to hunt pvp or even titan hunt, or at least find this buff useful

i noticed that all have only 'high' invent success - i can understand that at tier 1 and possibly tier 2 /but think for tiers 3 & 4 & 5 it should be 'extremly high' chance of success - 1 failed to invent would be a disaster
Also you might want to consider doing it this way =
3 inferno hammers to make 1 lvl1 tier
for level 2 tier would require 2 inferno hammers and 1 lvl 1 tier hammer
for lvl 3 tier 1 inferno hammer + 1 lvl 1 + 1 lvl 2
for lvl 4 tier 1 lvl 1 +1 lvl 2 + 1 lvl 3
for lvl 5 tier = 1 lvl 2 + 1 lvl 3 + 1 lvl 4

We just wanted to try something a bit different
The invent chance on tier 3 to 5 is higher than tier 1 and 2. Please keep the feedback coming on it and we'll do our best to take it into account when we add more tiered epics

T1 = 3 inferno hammers.
T2 = 3 T1 hammers (9)
T3 = 3 T2 hammers (27)
T4 = 3 T3 hammers (81)
T5 = 3 T4 hammers (243)
Yikes.
How about something like this. Inferno hammer is a level 200.
T1 = 2 Inferno Hammers, Level 200, +1 Stam gain
T2 = 2 T1 (4 Inferno Hammers), Level 400, +2 stam gain
T3 = 2 T2 (8 Inferno Hammers), Level 800, +3 stam gain
T4 = 2 T3 (16 Inferno Hammers), Level 1600, +4 stam gain
T5 = 2 T4 (32 Inferno Hammers), Level 3200, +5 stam gain
Hopefully the FS community keeps posting ideas and we can make something work
