when u get enought xp to get to the next level - u get 1 level up point.
u then click the level up link and chose which stat u wich to increase.
Exp: 1545 xp
Level: 4
Next Lvl: 2500 xp

Yes, or any of your other stats, but you only get to improve one of your stats per level up.

u get xp by killing creatures
best to start of with rats, bats, roaches, and humans
once u get about 250xp, i think....u get onto the 2nd level and obtain one lvl up point.

XP is earned and saved automatically from killing creatures.
Once you reach the next level, like others have said, you get to use a level up point as a sort of reward for making it to the next level. Choose your stat to improve wisely, as it is only 1 point per level up. 8)

u have to be in the same square (ie, 59|80) as a creature with a green logo. On the left hand side of ur screen there is a link that says attack (and a percentage eg/ 54%)
click on that, and then on the log/messages will appear the conciquince of the attack (eg/ 01:43 23/05/04 You hit Bat for 5 points and killed it. You gain 14 xp.)

Actually no, there is no worded attack link, it is in the form of a button pictured with a sword. The % given corolates to your ATK stat. As it goes up, so with your chance of hitting it. 8)

it doesn't show up until you have earned a Level Up point. However the location is next to the View Inventory link under all your stats on the left side of the screen.

What is the maximum level you can get to? Just so I don't waste my level-up points on speed then find I can't level up anymore to get my other statistics up.

I've heard there's a cap around 15 for speed, but I don't know for sure. But using a level up point for any given stat is completely independent of another. I've used my level up points on DMG, HP, and speed. You don't get stuck with any one thing.

that's weird. i just started tonight, so obviously i haven't gone up a level yet, but i had the "level up" link, and it told me i had one level up point. perhaps this is because i died right when i first started? maybe this "earns" you a level up point? (i died because i tried to attack an ogre... guess i know better now, eh?)
