So, let me get this straight. According to some players above, if I attack a player and he asks me why, and I tell him I liked your gold, then I will get suspended?

No. There's nothing abusive there.

There is a big difference between a single gold hit and going after someone hourly. I was referring to the second situation when I talk of not being able to speak with a target. A single random pvp hit can help you meet alot of people, both good and bad.

The op was about having deleveled someone several levels for multiple hits and still being hit, which is why I was speaking to that.

Don't you think no swearing is a little silly for a game mostly played by folk over the age of 25-30. If it's meant to cause harm sure...Otherwise i personally don't see an issue.

The issue is this is a PG-13 game and it is in the rules, so please follow them.

Not that i'm unwilling to follow the rules there are plenty of PG-13 games where said acts are allowed. How? They add in an optional filter. All's i'm saying is they are brainlessly enforced. There is or there isn't. The context isn't being taken into consideration. There are plenty of times i've seen people censored myself included for using the D word LMAO. Feel's like we are in grade school and you guys are the hall monitors. Yes the one that's spelled similarly to the type of contraption that stops water.

Speaking as someone who saw 13 many decades ago: I am extremely glad that this game has a no-swearing rule.

It is not just about 13 year olds. It is also about a sense of community, and making a small effort to allow all players (within a less-than-excessively-sized player base) to feel comfortable in the general chat areas---areas that play a key role in building that sense of community.

Your D-word may not have bothered me much. But not being able to use it bothers me even less.

I don't miss the cussing. I grew up in a different time than many people that play here and was taught that cussing had a place, but not a lot.

Smack a thumb or finger with a hammer and it's scream loud enough to bring all the neighbors out to see the dead body or use one explosive word to dissipate the pain.

Not long after moving to Oregon, I was on my way to get my morning breakfast coffee and a male age 17 to 22 passed me going the other way.

Taking out the cuss words from his conversation this is pretty much what was left: Oh yes he was very angry.

I, we, me, she, her, he, car, bus, think, doing, and trimet.

I don't miss that at all. lol

Oh yeah, I don't talk to very many people in game, I've been on the receiving end of pvp hits just for posting a bounty.  Some people still have a problem with my allowed response to their right to pvp me.

Missing the point. Sometimes you go a little to hard on censoring. I agree vulgarity should be kept on a low but if someone's just expressing themselves through light words who cares? Some people got my statement though so i digress.

Think you must of missed my point. Vulgarity should be cut out but if you wanna express yourself through light words you shouldn't be slapped on the wrist and put in the time out chair.

Actually, even if you use light words, you're still breaking the rules and if someone reports it, the rules will be enforced. Sorry but that's the rules.

All the vagueness of what "light words" means and the way HCS enforcement hides behind the 'case by case' discipline reiterates my point that if you PvP that the best, safest route to take is to refrain from PMing the player with which you have PvPed. Why take a chance? If you have to use thew ignore button!

Scenarios like these are why I no longer PvP, not even for prestige or the new DQ. Recent events in RL have made me reluctant to receive the countless "why did you attack me? I don't PvP please respect that. I'm gonna delevel you to level 1" type messages.

It's a game folks. It has PvP in it. If you can't deal with the occasional attack, take the precautions I mentioned earlier. Else, find something milder like "my little pony" or one of those Pokemon things.....

i find the words that come after a 100 stam hit more amusing most of the times.

This is why the hardcore PvPers "say it with stam"

We cannot answer the questions why.... Even the simple words "it was for that 1mil+ gold you went offline holding" can be misconstrued as harassment. So it's radio silence for most dedicated PvP players, those of us that haven't yet just stopped altogether in disgust......

That's not harassment either. While it may be reported, there's once again, nothing abusive there.

While the statement is True, it is simply foolish for any serious pvper to interact with their targets, at times in the past what has been ok today has been given a week off the next or worse.
