Hmm. They shouldn't drop gold. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I have fixed the effected Global beasties.

Doh! I wonder if my Guild has been egged yet, lmao. First giving away the pseudo-secret locs and now this ,oP

Thanks BG, will update the intro post.

Latest editing was to update with BG's comment and I also rearranged the buff section a bit in the hopes of avoiding duplicity and any confusion.

I "think" it is all in a more logical order now that is a bit easier to read through.

Any further help on areas or editing suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I do all my Globals at Trvons Clearing (Link on the bottom of the post), for me it's a good Elite area with not many players (Usually none).

About buffs, I do this:

1 - Global killing (without Frag Farming):
BM+Distill
Global Booster, AM300+, CSV300, LF300+, Reckoning.
Kick off BM and Distill.
(You can add UNB)

2 - Global Killing (with Frag Farming):
BM+Distill
Global Booster, AM300+, CSV300, LF300+, Reckoning, FI1000.
Kick off BM and Distill.
(You can add UNB and Lady Luck)

Frag Farming during Globals:

BM+Distill
AM300+, CSV300, LF300+, Reckoning, FI1000, Lady Luck.
Kick off BM and Distill.
(You can add UNB)

Always remembering to use less possible gear and low level gear.
Less gear = Less Repairing cost.
Low level gear have lower repair costs too.

Trvons Clearing (Level 310):

Another Great place to hunt is the Darkwater Lighthouse (Lower). nothing there but Global creatures and its a small map. It's level 533 to get in, but i cannot remember if a quest must be completed first.

Both Stairways are Quest locked, yes. The one from the beach to the lower section of the tower is locked to "Clash of Magics", stage 4.

My 2 cents regarding the killing grounds in global events:

I usualy choose (not to big) realms where there are elites dropping some kind of valuable unique items. If I am not using global booster, I also get FI1000 + Four Leaf + Reckoning and along the way hit the elites.

Perfect drops go to AH (usually for 1 FSP), un-perfect drops go for composing.

This way I can get global event kills as well as some extra FPS and composing resources.

You can follow this strategy for resources farming and SE huntings also (I usually don´t do any of those I confess...), since the logic in it is to take advantage of those extra footsteps and maps scanings you do while hitting the global event critters.

Many thanks to all the people who posted between this post and my last one (not to mention all the ones before or players that pmed me in game, some mentioned, some not).

No update to entry and this point because... ahhhh! I worked too long today and am going to try and put in some more time on smacking creatures for all those people jonesing for the big pots, lol. PS, I'm not.

But hey, I made my bed, might as well lie in it. ,oP

Just a important reminder: This entire post was not just me. It was an FS Community effort and I really appreciate all the help. For me it's not about the prize, it's about the effort you put into it.

In any case... good luck and prosperous smacking to all! (o0

A nice area I like to use is the Satero Residence - level 930. The easiest way to get to it is to use WA - Dark Coast - level 931. Go in through Barnacle Bandit - Cargo Hold. This is a dark realm but if you go east 7 steps and north 1 step you can go into Fallen Isle - Lookout Point. Then go south to Fallen Isle - Port and then southeast to Satero Residence. This is an 8x8 area with 4 small area arms so there is a lot of back tracking. Only thing here is an elite that drops a 4 piece unique set with attack/armor/damage stats. I use a variation of the buffs/skills you have talked about previously so nothing more to add to that.

Great post!

I know it's been awhile since I've posted. Just wanted to once again say thanks.

I've been going through some RL work issues so my FS time has been limited to the game itself.

I do have this post on my to-do list.

The "major" update will simply include locs with suggested hunting grounds that have been noted here and hopefully include links to the appropriate Official FS Guide.

After some careful (or not-so-careful) consideration, I think I've decided to include all the locs mentioned. I do plan to add a generic warning to check for areas around quests that "may" or "may not" be inaccesible due to the need to do quests.

Anyway, thanks again to everybody for helping out... continue to add any helpful info/suggestions here.

Prosperous smacking everybody (o0

My work life has been frigging crazy. For example, I worked a straight 12 hours today.

I will do my best to improve intro posts this weekend.... if somebody has the time to write out a very straightforward, detailed explanation on the Auto frag stash open and the new turn off notifications (where to find them), that'd be great.

Otherwise, I will do my best this weekend.

PS... please continue to add your hunting spots. I'm clear on how that will be dealt with.

Prosperous smacking everybody.

The preferences for auto fragging stashes, and turning off the notifications is found under Preferences > User Interface, bottom right box, last 2 entries

What Penny said, and just to spell out exactly what the preference names are, they are:

- Auto Open Fragment Stashes
- Hide Fragment Stash Logs

There are handy dandy check boxes, just click them to check the box :P

I would also add that for these Global Creatures that drop frag stashes, make sure you have your auto-frag/discard options disabled*, otherwise you won't get the stashes; use the auto-open option instead.

*That is, set to KEEP and the auto-discard level box should be blank.

I have never experienced this, I always frag everything unless I'm questing, then I keep the appropriate item type..... Good to know.  I will change this immediately.... for now :P

Thanks out to cyrus and Penny. (o0

Btw, one thing I've always wondered... does auto-open just work on the drops?

I've always wondered what would happen if I opened a chest with one in it... Kind of hope that's protected.
