     Come on people, we don't need something to make chest finding easier!  Chests are rare for a reason, you don't see a lot of chest medals for a reason.  If you want one so badly, post a "box" ad that you'll pay an obscene amount of FSP for any chest you can get to.  I don't think that we need every aspect (or reward) in the game to be made possible (and much easier) by a buff, potion, or piece of gear.  I'm almost expecting to see an update regarding how to bribe the gods at the temple

I've never determined what my real position is on that... I see positives and negatives to both sides. Quite honestly, my opinion is subjective.

 

It was clear however that the increase in number was necessary. I haven't run into one since the game began. I also love gold sinks.

 

I am leaning a little more towards Tastria's sermon at this point. In other words, let's wait and see how this affects availability before ruining the "elusivity" factor.

And I agree with Belaric's comment... I like them and I'm not sure that's a good thing. I'll leave that up to others who know better to decide, lol.

Potion of Enchantment doesn't include the Iron Fist buff. Is that because is doesn't have the word "enchant" in it?

Still think a chest locator buff or potion would be a great addiction later on.

 

It's certainly something we can consider. Maybe as a Composing or Inventable buff only?

 

I like the idea of that, but if it's composing-based, then players who can't afford/hunt frags well due to the level differentials would be at a disadvantage, though the margin would be slighter if it would be invented rather than composed.'

 

Hey! Maybe you could have a 'Chest-hunter potion' inside a chest! :3

There shouldn't be any problem with getting frags for ANY level if you plan on farming then yourself.

I hope you have given each one some kind of rating and assigned them to a chest in par with its value. I would really hate to spend 10 mil to open a chest  for a vision pot.

 

Please consider the other part of this idea and add gear too!

All the previous items are still in the chests. Just that Frag Stashes and Potions have been added. Nothing was removed.

well the leaf staff was never in the chests, and yesterday one of my guild mates opened up a chest and got that. so was that a glitch or is that to be the new norm? potions plus old chest gear plus LE items?

The leaf staff is/was in one of the chests ... can't remember which one and the WIKI doesn't show it, but I'm pretty sure I've seen it on the "chests opened" page many times ...

As has been pointed out, yes it has. Nothing beyond Frag Stashes and new Potions have been added and nothing has been removed. If you are basing the statement of "Never been in there before!" upon the wiki, do not. The Wiki is player run and is incomplete.

I wish we had a choice or pot or frag stash when opening.. Spent 10 mill on a crystal key for 500 frags.. (wanted the pot, but it's luck of the draw)

The chest contents still are in need of a revamp - most of them aren't worth the gold / loyalty point cost of opening unfortunately so it's only folk that want the medal ticks who are opening, or folk taking a punt on getting a 50/50 item ...

 

Chests are pretty rare - remove the "dross" from them - or find a use for them - and increase the frag stash counts please

Yeah Frag totals for crystal key... Unique of 500-600??? Was totally stunned when I got that. But imo, upping the number of chests is long overdue. I think 2x the number of active chests.... and removing the "moving" feature would do some good. Had a chest loc move on me that I bought once... was not a fun situation.

Chest updates - i.e. removing the dross and updating the contents further are, I suspect, in the same pile as removing all the dross from the scavenging caves - i.e. the "let's put the post-it note on the back of the monitor so it falls off ... " category ...
