I would like to see a option button to sell now, sometimes when i have a bid and i want to end the auction at the moment i want to. rather than wait the whole amount for a possible same lucrative amount that i would of possibly agreed on selling 10 or so hours ago.

A feature that might be nice to see is the option for a bidder to cancel their bid.
i.e. A person bids on the wrong item then not have enough funds to bid on what they were really after.
Another upgrade to the auction house that would be awesome would be to get fsp/gold back immediately after being out bid. I hate having to wait upto 48 hours to get my fsp back after I've been outbid.

If they were used properly they would be handy, but I feel they'd be too easily abused ... Could very easily be used to force up prices.

I.E.

Player "A" lists item for 100 fsp.
You bid 101
Player B bids 102
You bid 103 and Player B gets his 102 back immediately and is free to go off and buy something else he wanted to, but delayed to help a mate. All that's been accomplished there is that you're bidding 2 fsp higher than you originally were.

I know that folk have a "ceiling" for most items, above which they won't go, but I still think it's abusable.

That's a shame tho, 'cos they could be very useful additions.

Too easy to abuse both ways. How about
Player A bids 10mil on rubish item with no buy instant
Player A increases bid by 10 mil
Player A notices market is low
Player A cancels bid and enters an fsp offer (good margin above current highest so it will probably be met fast)
Player A buys fsp cheap at very low risk (who needs protection duh)

or

Player B banks and puts the rest of his gold on some rubish auction
Player B is offline till his hunt
Player B hunts, increasing his bid whenever on hand gold reaches 100k
Player B is done hunting, cancels bid, banks and puts the rest on some rubish auction

Can already be done but need to have a friend or guildmember for it now, and you have to wait until the auction time has passed. Making it much easier to do would rob the thieves of their opportunities.

I was wondering if it gets to the point were you need a minimum bid of something can you have it pop up right away instead of us putting in the number?

Isn't that what I said ? - too easily abused ? - you just gave other (perfectly valid) examples :)

Im sure its possible to make your idea work cqinmi... Say player a bids 12 fsp and player b comes along and bids 13 fsp, player a then can't cancel their bid because a player has out bidden them. Meanwhile player b can cancel his bid, unless player a outbids him or a player c comes along with a bid. I think you should be able to cancel a bid provided you have not been out bidden by anyone(thus not contributing to raising prices and abuse this option, but only if you have not been outbid). Hope this makes sense and makes your idea a little more justified of not being a possible in-game loop to make more fsp or gold.

A larger version of the problem Pardoux mentioned would be an auction on an epic item. if it get's listed for 200 FSP (and the normal selling price is 350) a rich player could bid 1000 to keep people from bidding on it, then cancel at the last minute and let a guildmate snatch it for 200

Very true, but there could be limitations like no cancellation of anything worth over 50-100fsp and you can even rule out epics entirely, because really if you have a 270-1300 fsp bid on an epic you had full intentions on bidding for it and buying it. Unlike seeing say a pair of boots for 8fsp then cancelling for the same pair of boots with 3 forges for 10fsp or something of the sort.

I'm going to put this idea in this thread again...

Please implement my earlier suggestion of an "auto-refresh-auction" button that allows us to reset the auction time for items we place in the AH that have no bids on them.

This would save the constant juggling of items going to the collection box and then having to put them in the backpack then put them into the AH again, often very slowly, especially if you have many AH slots. With this feature you could keep your AH going and save a lot of time.

To address questions about "lag" and abuse, we could:

--restrict this feature to 12-hour, 24-hour and 48-hour auctions
--make sure it can only be used in the last 4 hours of the auction's duration
--cannot be used once a bid has been entered
--requires at least one backpack space available to use

If this idea can't be implemented, what about when an item is sent to the Player's Item Inbox, there is a button for each item that is next to "Take Item" that says "Refresh Last Auction" and then does the same thing, except does it from the Inbox instead of during the Auction time listed? Maybe this is easier to accomplish?

Would appreciate input from the mods here on how this could work. Would make dealing with the AH much more enjoyable for players with numerous AH spots.

Please consider!!

Wow I completely misread the original suggestion. I thought the idea was a scenario like the following:

Seller lists item for X min bid and Y buy now. During the bidding process the min bid was reached but there is still time left on the auction. I thought the suggestion was to allow the seller to click a 'Sell Now' button that gives the item to the highest current bidder

one thing i would like to see implemented into the auction house and the game in general is the ability to buy and sell using shards. people that are wanting to sell for prices lower than fsp worth or between fsp worth are stuck selling with gold. you should be able to break 1fsp down to 100 shards but not be able to sell gold for shards in the marketplace "this would make having gold on hand obsolete and would effect pvp". any thoughts on this?

With in the game you have 2 forms of currency. FSP and gold. Gold is like normal money that you can get all over. FSP is like $1000 bills. shards are not actual currency. the shards are more like chips at a casino or tokens at game places. they are not really currency anywhere but there.

However, if i read your post right, you want to replace gold with shards to achieve an end of killing one main aspect of PVP. i can bet bottom dollar that HCS will not go for that and if they did they (i dont think) wouldn't do anything but replace it so the only thing that would change is the name of what you lose in a PVP attack.
which further means that the rewards page would essentially be pumping more "gold" into the game...

i do not think any fix should be introduced that kills an aspect of the game any further than it currently is. that aspect has been there from the start

LOL no i didnt mean for shards to replace gold in the least bit. more like a fsp is a dollar and shards are pennies. if a player wants to sell an item for $1.50 he/she is forced to raise their price to 2fsp just so they dont undercut themselves. of course they could resort to selling for gold that has no set standard to fsp. ill always know what a 1fsp can buy me in upgrades not the case with gold. but as i was trying to point out this way of buying and selling should be "if implemented" strictly AH only. if players are able to exchange gold for shards easily then that will have a turn for the worse when it comes to pvp.....and thats bad.

Sorry for the long time in this thread without an update. Updating things in the Auction House was a bigger task then I originally thought. However, the update should go live between today/tomorrow!

HCS should make where the AH item you place last longer then 24 hours after auction. or they could put no time limit on them. yeah i know that interferes with the backpack spaces. but if HCS made another item box.... lets call it (auction item box) same thing like a guild has and item box functions. but make where u cant place another item up for auction till an item from the (auction item box) is removed. it will stop the whole storage loop hole and make a quick fix update that i know hcs could do. u pay 15 fsp for backpack spaces and AH slots. there is a limit on AH slots so y not make so u have a item up for auction or a backpack space?
