Proposed Chest Potions.

New potion that is called Mythic Brew: the potion would consist of a buff called Mythic Find Item. The Buff Mythic Find Item would give you a .01% boost per point to find a mythic shard when killing a Super Elite. The potion would be tradable, the shards would not be tradable ( to spur chest hunters and or Super Elite hunters ). All chests would also have the chance to drop mythic recipes when the skill is activated by that % chance of the potion (we have to keep the % low because well it's mythic, duh!). Mytic recipes could include super elite items with epic items to make all with very low success rates. Mythic items would be able to be traded. Think of it, like it , drool over it , want it , need it , win some arena , climb a ladder , kill a huge thingy, oggle some monsters (the good looking ones are the most dangerous), have fun!

Would it be possible to add a new buff similar to Quest Finder but with Chests? It could turn the map background Red to alert that a chest is somewhere on this map. Players would still have to walk around the entire map to find it, but at least this way people can find them as they walk from realm to realm.

 

I can't help but wonder how many chests people have walked by because they used the Auto-Walk feature on the new map to go from staircase to staircase. If the buff is a low enough level, you probably don't even need to increase the spawn rates.

I would definitely love to see a Merchant/Treasure Hunter pot. It could be called, "King Mida's Touch."  :P

Though people complain that there's too much gold in the game..  <_< ..  -_- I guess HCS has the final say.

 

Also, a Item Finder/Four Leaf pot called, "Luck of the Brew." would be awesome!  ^_^

Maybe put Merchant and Treasure Hunter with Gold Foot and make that the chest pots buffs cannot be cancelled.  :D that would fix the whole "More gold equals bad" idea.

 

Hello Devilo, you can already get Merchant and Treasure level 200 from Fortune Pack B and only costs 25 Reputation.

 

if anymore gold buffs are released then the cost of 1FSP would be over 220k+ again. the lower the cost of fsp the more you make in your hunts isn't that what everyone wants? also i don't think anyone even use gold foot while hunting because of all the light foot potions out there...

 

 

Gold Foot 8.75% chance to consume 2.5k gold is pretty low and i don't think it should be in the level 1600 list maybe 1000 and the Balanced buffs, Balanced buffs should be around the level 250-300 area..

 

sorry moo moos i don't like where these buffs are and they just taking space up there

Merchant and Treasure Hunter 225 ( crystal key chest)

Deflect and Nightmare Visage 225 ( crystal key chest)

Super Elite Slayer and Counter Attack 200 (crystal key chest)

Vision 500 (crystal key chest)

 

 

 

All are just my suggestions and open for debate. I have a list of buffs for other chests; however, i will wait to see the negative and positive feedback (if any) on my list.

I'm ok with every one of the potions the cows suggested, I REALLY like the ageless500 and Anti-Deflect400

"Doubles the guild tax.."  This should make you REAL popular  :D  (I just had to say it!) Good ideas though, although I would think that the present cost of the key would be difficult enough.  All the aspiring chest hunter has to do is NOT use their loyalty points for anything else, and when that chest pops up, the moneys there!  We have to keep in mind that the chests are real freebies in the game, you don't have to do anything except find them, and use free (if you have them) points to open it. No buffs, potions, or equipment involved.

just a hint make sure you literally "STARE" at your player display ( or action box ..no sure corrrect name for it) as he autowalks( or u will miss it) ...if  a chest is there is will "POP" up as you walk past its location . I have had this happen to me twice ! ..it like whoa what was that :)

Cool potions.  Would love to see Chests spawn more.  I've only found one chest myself in all the time I've played, but Bloody18's comment is excellent, as I probably don't pay that much attention when on auto-walk, but I have done a fair amount of SE hunting and farming.  We don't have to do a 180, but an increased percentage of chests would be great.

The gear that is in some of the chest is really only good for fragments these days as it's outdated, because now we're all about using sets due to how buffs have evolved, so perhaps consider replacing those gear items with a nice potion would be great or leave the gear and add a potion perhaps?

Glad to see this thread BigGrim and look forward to seeing how this plays out.

 

Idea for a potion:

Perfection - while it's running any gear that you craft will be perfect and you can craft your own and guild tagged gear, well if you have that permission.

maybe they could have a "sound" - "alarm" go off :)  when we walk over one ...or a hammer that hits us in the head!

A good conserve/lightfoot combo would be good nice for titan hunting. maybe somewhere around 400/1000 for the skill levels.

This has nothing to do with chests, but if you are going to do new potions, how about rewarding players on their anniversary date with an "uber" potion.  I think 5 years playing should  be something like an AL1000 potion or a 4Leaf 1000.  Something really special!!  BTW....Today is my 5 year anniversaery so feel free to start with me!!!     LOL

I think that some recipes should be changed in order to make the potions viable to be created.

 

Also, I would like to see more recipes available for creating potions for the upper levels.

Having new groovy potions that you can find is all well and good.  But really what is the point when the rate of chest opening is about 3 or 4 day.  With all the other chest items there are already you'd be lucky to see two or three of these potions a week. And like most people I've only come across 1 chest in general play, and that includes all kinds of questing, SE hunting etc - loads of running around. So, have new potions, but a total waste of time since we'll basically never get to see them unless Chest spawning is increased a lot.  Just my 2p.

I have suggested this a few times .. but I would like to see a chest finder potion or buff. It would indicate if a chest is within a few maps of your current map. The higher the level of the potion / buff, the more precise the notification on where the chest is. 

 

I'm leaning more towards potion only ... possibly as a chest reward?

something like hot or cold system... the color of the buff(potion) changes as you get near a chest.

if something like this was around I wouldn't mind running map to map for a chance to find a chest. in my opinion I believe there should be special maps for chests. chests should only be found in the maps within the level range of 1-200 or 100-300.
