When is the deadline for sign up Zukira? I dunno if I'm entering yet ,but just in case.
I'm going to let people pay when they submit their first entry so the tentative folks are considered 'in' until first graphic deadline (July 9, 23:00 server-time) passes without an entry and fee. I figure this will give a bit of wiggle for those who aren't sure if they'll have time or not.

Maybe after the ggt I'll do a 'new artists' tournament, small pot, requiring all artists to use gimp (since it is free so it is even footing for program) and provide a stock and a tutorial for each round.
Sound interesting?
That would be cool, and i would still be rubbish LOL

+1 on the idea. That would be awesome. Might even help some people learn a few new tricks.
Billy, you aint rubbish! You have good potential, it takes a loooong time and many many screwups to become great.
Dont give up on your graphics, keep going. Try different styles, different tuts. Listen to CnC. Ask for people to clarify something if you dont understand what they said the first time.

TF lets put this straight GIMP is Cr*p and you use PS so its pretty easy for me to Lose

I must disagree with you it's not the program it's the user and the effort put into learning how to use it

Give him heck ..... Harv..... I use 3 different programs, gimp being only one of them.
I don't win many of the contests I enter, but i do have people that like my "style" of graphics. I don't have Photo Shop, but I don't care because I have fun "playing with the pictures" on the programs I do use.
Just give it a go & jump in......... You have nothing to lose but the time you put into the graphic, if that is too much to lose over it then don't do them any more, but stop whining about it on all the different graphics threads.
