*remembers blood rage* Well that was good for a short time, then it became obsolete due to a slow leveling rate, better XP:AP with sorcery or melee, soon blood rage became very obsolete. Magery is capped to a maxed spell, so how would that work around a quick end of the earth magic spell?it wouldn't be sorecery, it would be magic, hoof would release spells specific to this Earth magic, and the players would level them up as they used them.
the dmg would be based on the mining/smelting combined levels, the spell's levels would really only affect the cast % i guess?
since the casting xp, as it were, goes right back to mining/smelting levels, making them hit harder, you'd really only need to work on the % anyway...
this is a good idea for the level 300 miner, and the level 4k miner, since it is based on their time invested in mining, but the critters they hunt remain level appropriate...

And to keep this on topic, I still think that insatiable's idea to turn creatures to stone and mine them to death is a good idea. I rather like the thought of having a new and different way to kill things. A nice new dimension of play for this dusty ole miner. :wink:

I'm too lazy to cut and paste the lines that pertain to this suggestion, but I kinda had an idear.
Maybe, in order to make lvling equal between the mages and warriors amongst the miners, asign a specific sorcery lvl to each mining/smelting lvl. Keep it on par with the melee dmg with comparable ratios and whatnot so the fighting techniques stay parallel.
Dunno, I'm sleepy and I flunked algebra twice, so I may be off base, but someone will understand what I'm getting at and elaborate I'm sure.
