There was an EXCELLENT suggestion regarding being able to pay off this upgrade in stages ? - that would be fantastic...
That is something we could look at adding
Or as an option, make it possible that the amount gets pulled directly from the bank account,
instead of having to hold the gold "on hand".
This still would leave the incentive to upgrade deposits / donate to the game.
Regards,
Kildek
Looks good to me, on the next update i would also like to see max stamina gain per hour, since this is also expensive for lower level players, i am sure they will really like the idea of using the stage payment on this upgrade.

Hoofmaster: I'm a little bit disappointed that your thread asking for people's opinions on removing the gold protection from PvP was only open and active for less than 14 hours. Do you seriously think that EVERYone who plays this game and would have liked to give their opinion was logged in during that 14 hour period? Leaving it up for the weekend might have been more useful. I'm just saying, that is not a very long time to obtain the opinion of an entire game community, particularly with people all over the world in different time zones. Thanks for your time.

Deposits are here for something. To safe-store gold. Adding free option to store it in partial payment for upgrades is just making PVP for gold less desirable.
And some ppl mentioned: buy 25 dots - this is your partial payment method, then use it for 1 bank deposit or 1 stam gain per hour. Can't save for a dot? Get more max stam at 25k per point and after some time you will earn a dot.
As to ading other upgrades - bio chars are good, allies and enemies could be an option too, gold gain would be good - its only 11.5 year to payoff to buy gold upgrade

That being said, My 8.6 million in gold is what I have managed to get in 4 years. I sort of question the logic of paying out over half of that for an upgrade. Is it a good gold sink? Without a doubt. Will many players use it? That remains to be seen. Maybe we could have just "one" little statistic about this in the near future?

+1 Bank Deposits per Day
5,000,000
great so i got to convert up to 25 FsP to make 5,000,000 gold when you announce you are going to remove the protect gold half of protect from PvP which still wont help lower level members from being robed
i sugest keeping to the lower level gold sink's
2,500 mill gold tops or add a new one protect all gold not xp so players can make the high costs for thease upgrades and deposits
i made this post early in this thread and after reading many of the posts
i can see three sides to this upgrade
side 1 . . . the low level player who will never get the gold needed coz as soon as they get over 10k they are robed
side 2 . . . the PvP player who has most upgrades and want to pvp and take gold from the easy target with 5 mill in hand
side 3 . . . the play who dont PvP and would like to upgrade but cant for the side 2 player will attack and steal there gold
some say lower the cost for lower level players this is not fair on the higher level player
some say pay direct from the players bank i think this could work
some say pay to the upgrade like a bank deposit but extra so a player pays to there bank then the upgrade NO this is not fair
my take is that any one who dont like PvP wants to pay for the high gold upgrades in installments so make them use there bank deposits ether in there gold bank or in to an upgrade bank it will not make a difference to the PvP player as the gold would have been banked any way and it removes the need to hold millions of gold in hand but this option is only for the upgrades of over 1.5 million
obviously if a player wishes to take the risk of converting fsp and pay in one go then they can and the pvp players can have a go with then

I think it's a pretty good idea. Would certainly help the lower level players!
An even fairer option would be to have this upgrade (and just this upgrade) on a "sliding" scale.
I dunno. That simply punishes those players who have leveled. Not sure I like that. Paying in installments works better in my opinion.
On-topic suggestion: Could we add "bio characters" to the list of available gold upgrades? It's something minor that wouldn't affect gameplay itself, but some people might be willing to drop gold on it.
Sounds like a reasonable idea to me. Will talk it over with Hoofmaster.
if you could dump your gold after your hunt in to upgrades that would destroy the pvp gold thefts now.
Not particularly. There's a limit to the gold upgrades available. Furthermore, PvP protection will not be protecting gold as of sometime Monday
I don't support the down payment method. PVP is part of the game and adding this method will definitely kill it.
No. It really won't see my post above, ta.

Hoofmaster has already replied to this in several places. This subject is one which gets touochy and derailed all too easiely thus the topic closed and we are implementing the change we think is best for the game as a WHOLE.
