Not sure this analogy/comparison makes sense? You can get to eoc in less then 3-4 years because of double xp events? The impact of double xp events is minimal except for the rich especially if you are comparing time to get to eoc. Or I could be comprehending this incorrectly which wouldn't my first time.

 

I've seen people gain 500+ levels in a double XP event. There are people who do all their levelling in double XP events.

 

For the reasons you are noting (instant finishing costs), double composing XP events will only ever gain you a fraction of one level - even for the rich.

 

So the real point is to look on dbl composing XP as a small gift (not on the same scale as other double XP events), and appreciate it for what it is.

Those folks that gain 500 levels... If I'm not mistaken, they are dumping 1,000's of fsp but I could be wrong. Although I guess there are uber potions of the lvl750 variant that turns 2x into 6x plus which is not available with composing. I did try the uber leveling and spent well over 2k fsp if not more and only gained 300 levels

Why does my leveling matter to you? I will buy upgrades anytime I want to get to EOC. The question is, in my opinion, am I throwing my hard earned money away if I spend to get to EOC? The double xp events are the time to get to EOC. I'm happily encouraged lately we can see cheaters being term'd. However I'm greatly discouraged I don't see much development on aspects of the game! Both of those ideas seem taboo every time they're raised. Why? As not just you have said, another concern is that we still lack quests for content already released long ago. So will we get a couple hundred levels of unfinished, bare-bones content to appease the insatiable demand leveling only players have? The questions are relevant! Communication is important to my decision making.

 

This isn't the correct thread or time to be bringing up other areas of the game. I thought this thread was about 2x event coming up soon. Lets try to stay on topic and not derail stuff.

 

Also, an eventual cap on levels is something I would like to see down the road with some sort of new feature or aspect of the game for EOC players to participate in. maybe something like Legacy or perhaps something totally different.

Composing XP bonus event is worthless unless the instant finish price is also locked to the minimum cost for every pot during the event.   Otherwise only the richest of the rich will benefit and they are probably already well along in composing without the bonus event.

 

Not really Yote. Think of it like this ... your getting 1 Free day of composing this week. so instead of 7 days of composing XP, your getting 8. lets say you were busy one day and couldn't be bothered to log in to do composing. your doing a "catch up" of sorts. that is what this is for. not for people to power to level 60 on 1 or 2 events.

 

Yes, some with heavy gold might consider boosting this way but it will be very costly for them to do so. If they reduced the instant finish cost to the minimum only ... then such rich players would EASILY be able to get to level 60 and so would many other people. The cows want this to be a slowly upgraded ability. 

 

Lastly, they said they will be doing "more than 2 of these events per year" .. meaning it will not be like 2x events for regular XP, but rather a monthly or bi-monthly type of event, similar to global events. Either way, the cows are making an effort to try new things and offer a better experience for members, which should be recognized.

I guess, HCS, could do what I've seen in other games, that being add races to the game. 

 

IE: Elf, Orc, Giant, Human, Etc, etc. 

 

Then when a player reached eoc and these 2x  experience events made them shudder in distaste they could reincarnate into something else and take another run at things.

 

Other races would have different qualities and stats and the gear would work differently for them.

 

Just a thought here.

lol  I have not looked at any other games offered  here, not even the fancy hairy barber shop.  But  it seems there is enough eoc disgruntlement to go around and then some.

 

I have a long ways to go to get there and there are many things to work on.

 

 I did enjoy the event a lot.  Raced another 10 levels toward eoc. lol
