Oh, and on a previous stage I had to defeat 5 infernals.  But, there were only 3 in the room, so I had to leave and come back to defeat another 3.

Regarding the third point, you're correct that the sentence is not a question in terms of formal writing.  But in conversation people often talk like that.  The 'statement/question I already know the answer to/perhaps this once the answer is otherwise' gives the characters more life.  Speaking, think of the voice starting as a statement, but with a question style upward lilt at the end.

 

I vote leave this one alone.

in murky depths, when you try to use the ladder to the third level next to the wife, but haven't gotten far enough along in the quest to use it, it says "You cannot use thie... yet."

In opening conversation with order of life priest when you come out of void he says:

 

"A rescue mission you were involved in went horribly wrong, resulting the the majority of you being trapped in..."

 

Need to change the first "the" to "in".
