While trying to help a guildmate with gear I noticed something,,,
please consider changing the 115 to a 90, and making a def set,, this area is sorely lacking in def gear and in fact that ladder is using suicide setups!

I don't mind levels and composition.
Would be cool you try to make them work with currently existing sets.
What would make it more fun is having sets use different areas of game.
Have the legendary drop the Recipes.
Have the legendary drop an item needed (not quest item so QF doesn't work).
Then use some other areas.
SE hunting --- Use existing gear, it's not worth a penny.
PVP --- Use new or existing ressources bought with tokens.
Arena --- Use items from arena.
Etc.

1500 boots and helmet 30 defense 70 damage
1650 gloves and shield 30 attack 70 damage
1800 helmet and rune 30 defense 70 damage
I would like to see some more master inventor enhancements

For 1120/1210 - I'd like to see a Weapon/Ring or Weapon/Rune combo for Attack/Armor or a Body/Weapon combo for Attack/Defense.
I forgot - I'd like to have a Thievery / Duelist / Sustain / Fury Caster maybe (lots of higher level sets don't have the FC anymore)
I think for 1350 - I'd like to see a Boots/Weapon or Boots/Gloves combo for Defense/Damage.

I love this, even if HCS brought it in as a new part of the game. Endurance quests. Items can only be obtained once, but not bound. The only reason I say a separate part of the game is b/c similar ideas as yours have been suggested and it wasn't well received for a normal Legendary event. However, I like the idea!
Hey.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll be trawling through this soon! Keep the suggestions coming though!

Its great to see the level of community input on this event! One thing, please, don't just throw a off-stat kit in the middle of a stat heavy range and expect it to be worth its salt. The new sets have to blend in; if you want it to have any use in PvP or Hunting, it has to blend in with 3 other sets for buff bonuses. Its your game, keep making it awesome!
Keep those suggestions coming, talk the sets/kits out here, so there's no surprise!

Amulet/Boots or Boots/Shield 60 attack 40 damage level 1600

My reasoning behind my choices is mainly to bring a counter weight to the current strong setups in the ranges of the arena. I'm guessing similar weights are used in PvP. So for example, att/def is currently dominant in the lvl 15 arena, due to high dam. As a response, we could see a come-back for armor users. Between lvl 700 and 1120 we already have powerful att/def setups. After lvl 1200, it's mainly for PvP and leveling. We're still using dusty lvl 1600 gear for leveling at lvl 1800 - so more damage sets would be nice there.

I still very firmly say NO to making items from this legendary require SE or Ladder token or arena items to be made - that penalises the community that does not have access to all four types of item (legendary/ladder/SE/arena). This is a community event, give everyone a shot at making/obtaining the gear during the event. Have the legendary gear made from drops within the legendary only.
Yes it would be nice to encourage more people to go in for these different activities, but introducing it this way only benefits those who already do these things and/or have ready access to items from these various sources. Those without the resources to effectively battle in the arena, for instance, will be forced to buy the items they need. Who benefits there? Not joe schmoe who is level 325 and has never gone into the arena.
If you want cross trained items in future made from arena and PvP ladder drops and SE drops and heck even RP items, fine, but make it something new and announced in advance. Call them endurance *credit to iTzBill* items, make them very hard to create and obtain and have people sweat to make them, preferably from new items added to the arena and PvP ladder etc. If this was announced in advance then people would have an incentive to try these different game activities. I kind of said this already on page 4, in reply to the first time it was suggested.

Heck to the YES ...
Homer : Marge, don't discourage the boy. Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals .. except the weasel.
Eddie Izzard : The National Rifle Association say that guns don't kill people, people do. But I think the gun helps, you know ? I think it helps. I think just standing there going "BANG" - that's not going to kill too many people, is it ?
I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but it seems that everything I eat lately turns to poo ...
