Zorg, Mojawk (Radneto) and Big Grim. Thanks for your responses. Game is loading faster than I've seen it in quite some time. Cautiously optimistic

Great news!
Hopefully everything runs smoother now.
@BG
While there may be some negativity in this thread, please do something with all the feedback. And make the game in such way that it is manageable. Like with new content.
Also the ingame questionaire is a superb idea. *hint*
One more tip... 5 small updates make us more happy than 1 cummulative update.
Hope you enjoyed the long weekend.

Thanks for the update on the error messages, etc. I suspect it's a bit unusual for a company to post to it's customers as you did, but it's much appreciated. It also lets us experience second hand your exasperation in what should have been a vast improvement in the servers. (No good deed goes unpunished )
As far as the negative comments go, I'm an elected official in various offices, (I wear a bunch of different hats, depending what day it is...). We get them all the time. And when something like a new regulation is a rousing success, we hear next to nothing, or, "Why didn't you do that a long time ago?"
Tough, thick skin is required here. Just keep in mind that we're all on the same side

As well as the performance improvements we've also been working on the next batch of content, which we hope to have with you before the end of the week. BigGrim shall be revamping the content road-map and we're already hard at work on the next code update that should be with you as soon as possible. We'll also be working on new additions to the game soon and already have plans for new skills and the revamped PvP system.

thank you very much for taking the time to reply back. Looking forward to the long waited changes/upgrades/new features.

I'm fine, thanks for the concern. As for the thread, as negative as it is, there is a lot of useful feedback in here (as well as a few misconceptions I hope my above quote replies clear up) but it is highlighting issues we are actively trying to repair.
Sure, the overtones were of a negative nature, but not because I wanted to focus on negativity. I just wanted to express my concern for FS as it's a game I've loved for a very long time. I do appreciate the feedback a lot, but I just hope this becomes more regular. We all want this game to succeed.

For the rest of the week I'm going too be looking at reworking the World map. There are a few performance changes I plan on making and they should also help the upcoming Fallen Sword mobile apps performance as well

Any thoughts on having an option to make the map stationary at its furtherest view so the only thing that moves is the character?
Maybe trimming down on the borders outside the walls.. That's a lot of extra tiles in no mans land..
Also an option to turn off gif tiles would be great.. Its quite brutal hunting the kraken or dealing with all those movements outside the walls when the space outside is so big too.. Tis excessive
I'm glad the map is going to get some reworking :-) the new app has had me wondering about it
Oh good god yes!!
The ability to turn off the blinking, swirling and flashing etc would be beyond all known measurements of awesome.

Thank you HCS for informing us of the issues to improve game play.

Oh, for sure. It's been mostly constructive and shows concern, which we do appreciate.
I'm grateful you see it that way. Since you imply there is a recognition of issues, and there are, can players expect change, meaning improved communication and a new development commitment or will the status quo managing the game continue now that the normal connectivity has resumed?
I really would like Hoof to step up and answer that question!
An answer would allow players, like myself, to make an informed decision from here forward about if and/or how to continue playing the game. It's important! I think players deserve to know what's really going on with the game because we haven't seen much good for a while, on the contrary. I feel I've been led on long enough. It has been stated previously that game development would be forthcoming - https://forums.hunte...14/#entry873774. It was not. 6 months on and we have yet to see anything but superficial band aids. The past reasons for a lack of attention to the game are unimportant. I really do expect an explanation, is there going to be meaningful change to how the game is developed so that I should spend another day, another dollar playing this game?

It will just be words..
That they are but it means something that much more when it comes from the boss. I want to trust what he says. That means something to most people. If some kind of commitment to renew the game's development can't be made I will respect that and move on. I expect truth and honesty. It's what all players deserve.

Yeah well even with all my 4 browsers and 2 dramatically different internet speeds (1-2ish Gbps and 15Mbps) I am still getting the 5 sec page load.
