I think it would nice for guild founders to be able to have rank names. As for what purpose it serves, I think we can ask that about most things and the answer would be 'just for fun'. Recognising guild founders can always be done if 'GF' was added after the rank name or something?
Or do it like HCS, add a badge to their characters under their rank and leave the rank name completely up to the player?

After years of fighting it I finally gave up being 'Cthulhu' in rank name for the good of my guild.

BUMP!
*Cracks open a can of Diet Coke and slides it down to Hoof*
....Now all you need to do make it so Guild Founders can change their rank name;)
...also a logo/tag of some sort (something like the Game Admin Tag) so members still know who the founder is.
