...I love this game, and I try to remain positive about its future, but I sometimes wonder if the cows are as "emotionally invested" in it as some of us long-term players. I know it's their main source of income (well, I assume it is ....) but it needs to stop being seen as just an ATM and more like something they're proud of and want to see survive and flourish.

I couldn't have said this better! To me FS is like a living thing. I hope the Cows see it that way to and feed it and watch it grow and thrive! These little things that are not needed  (like that stam tick thing) are not helping to nourish the game.
