i think the deathspinner gear needs to be changed from super elite..that would help out super elite hunting greatly, there would be a frenzy for hunting them...i see massive farming of spiderlings right now..over a dozen players in there...and unique items should all come from elites or quests....it would help out in elite hunting also..just my opinion..

Well, I didn't farm them, but your post enticed me to go run through the questline, which required 400 kills of spiderlings.

I disagree with this i think its a good thing I for one had never done the questline for this I had a unamed player contact me and ask me if i wanted to buy deathspinner ammys 4 for 1FSP i was like lol NO. But then i thought i can use my stam when i get bored between hunts and go kill some spiders and make ammys for composing. So I did the questline finally and made a few ammys i think the good thing is people are burning stam hunting these creatures they are using the inventing process which isnt used alot by most players me for one and its yet another thing for people to do who are bored. Cant say it makes the composing aspect to easy because come on have you see the shout box people buying mass quanities of gear? At least this way people are aquiring it the right way hunting it :)

Yea the thing is when it came out it WAS a SE and people looking for a easy kill on the medal made the place standing room only. They aint gonna change that back!

Useful SE items will still sell for a decent price.

Useless SE items will sell for the same price as Deathspinner (or a bit more if it gives more fragments per item).

composing just gives all items a sort of minimum price.

But if an item was already worth more than that minimum price then that item won't be affected by composing. ;)

Sounds like you weren't able to sell them before ... at least now u can sell them

Since the discussion came up, I've been watching prices on deathspinner amulets, from 45k to 40k to 35k. Effectively, the price of one SE fragment.

 

Of course, this price should change once actual potions are available, and change again (likely upward) once there are some plentiful LE and Crystal items so that composers can get their skill up high enough to actually USE SE fragments.

the deathspinner  set look to be keeping the other se items from skyrocketing out of control  and even with these being plentiful you're still going to need crystal and legendary items and they are only cheap during a event somehow i don't think that will be the case during the next one

Im amazed this was not changed before implementation, would not be supprised at all to see the deathspinner set  changed in designation on Monday

 

A SE set that can be invented with common items *facepalm*

It has been like this for YEARS... if your really going to pick at it like this so be it... but it should've been done before this...

i hope HCS looks into changing the deathspinner.. plus Elites aren't even that useful for composing since you can get low level Unique items.. if nothing is done, well... whatever...

i didnt know composing was created to boost Elite hunts? or SE hunts I thought it was designed to rid the extra gear we accumulate during hunts and such once again who does it hurt when people make the deathspinner sets? SE hunters are still gonna hunt like normal its not like its putting them out of buisness whats next after this is the ladder invented gear gonna get cried about for being easy to get? Which it is i aint gonna lie im milking tokens as we speak . Just enjoy composing as its intended to be personal or guild related and dont worry about what the other guy is doing because if it bothers you go do it also. Everyone is equal everyone can do the quest there is no market to be cornered.

just think it can be executed better.. if item rarity was properly researched and altered before this was introduced into the game, it would of promoted more Elite and Super Elite hunting. now we just have deathspinner farmers tossing away SE frags for gold pieces by the dozen and Unique frags farmed from kriff'n goblins when that item rarity's frags should of been mainly from Elites or Elites should of been given a new rarity and frag..

Farming for inventing deathspinner piece cost stamina and these potions are bound ... no problem there

 

But about the medal..i wasn't interested in implementing medal for this aspect, its another medal requires 0 skill in gaming.

 

What about add medal for number of sets you have in backpack ? maybe medal for number of buffs casted ?  :rolleyes:

There's more than 1 or 2 other medals that require 0 skill too - this one is no different.

There will always be people farming creatures ... if u want to spend stamina and time on it then that is fine. If it is not this one then it will be the next easiest one. Same goes for crystalline and LE. I guess inventing ones will be made the most cause drop rates of items (1,5%) is lower and takes more stam to make item.

shouldnt have been released till all the bugs were worked out. SE frags were meant to be hard to get not made from common items

Thanks for the update HCS!

I want to add, that crystal fragments should be given based on durability lvl.

BROKEN CRYSTAL ITEMS SHOULD NOT GIVE ANY FRAGMENT!

That way who would care if a crystal item breaks down...
