logic: level 1 gathering skill yields 1 item(some times)

         level 10 gathering skill yields 10x more of that item (sometimes)

         level 100 gathering skill yields 100x more of that item (sometimes)

 

currently gathering yields the same character xp, skill xp, and item chance no matter the level.

in logical theory, the higher your skill, the more you gather or the better chance you have for rare items

The advantage to levelling up a gathering skill is that you're able to move onto nodes that require higher levels. We don't really need the added bonus of increasing the yield of a gather.
