I am simply saying its a trend in online to reward you more the longer you choose to play to try and keep that incentive building even if it by smaller amounts, that way the existing player base can want to keep playing. having to wait 5 months for one pot is a very long time in anyones books.

Or, you (not you directly, you generically) could donate for the potion - and it's not an essential potion anyway - none of the loyalty ones are.

Homer : Marge, don't discourage the boy. Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals .. except the weasel.

Eddie Izzard : The National Rifle Association say that guns don't kill people, people do. But I think the gun helps, you know ? I think it helps. I think just standing there going "BANG" - that's not going to kill too many people, is it ?

I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but it seems that everything I eat lately turns to poo ...

That's no comparison.

A player bringing it up is greed - "i want more"

A cow suggesting it, by the very fact of it being a cow suggesting it, can't be greed orientated.

Your comparison is like a player asking for 5 free bp slots vs the cows giving all players 5 free bp slots - the first is greed, because they are available for purchase through gold and/or fsp - and the second is a magnanimous gesture from the cows for whatever their reason.

I said earlier that if it were implemented, I'd gain from it - I just don't think it has any need for it.

If the cows wanna bring it in, then fine - I'm done on the thread anyways. I think I've pointed out enough of my reasons why not :)

no no, you're not getting my point.

Isolate the idea, then assess it. Regardless of the player's intention - that way you erase prejudgement from your opinion. Makes for a more neutral and objective judgement on the question at hand. That's all.

Pre-judgement erased,

from opinion based,

no regard the players' intention.

Idea isolated...assessed...addressed;

objectives and neutrals unquestioned

I'm still convinced that this will work in everyone's favor even though 2 people disagree with it.  No one has given me a reason why it won't and there has been like 90% who agree with it.  The formula could use a bit of tweaking, but I would like to hear from the cows and see what they think.  That way we can work towards some sort of compromise.  Basically the way it works now is based off your loyalty as an FS player.  It brings meaning to the loyalty medal which would be nice.

Good idea icy :) Increase loyalty points rewarded for loyalty medal !

Some players just disagree with every idea to get some attention...

Given I'm probably the most vocal voice against this, your comment is inaccurate Shin (and, I have to say, I thought better of you than that). I support many ideas - and disagree with many others.

Some ideas benefit the whole game and more than likely get a FOR vote from me - and some ideas only benefit one part (and, a minority at that I suspect) and get an AGAINST vote from me.

I, along with every other player, am entitled to voice an opinion on anything raised in the forums as long as said opinion doesn't break any of the cow rules - which they don't.

my vote go for one more token for each day in a row, with a maximun of 5 days, example:

1th day - 5+1
2th day - 5+2
3th day - 5+3
4th day - 5+4
5th day - 5+5
Total - 25+15=40 (each 5 days on a row)

40x(30/5)=240 allegian tokens if you log in everyday on a month.

Will be 90 more allegiance tokens per month, not think that will ruin the game at all.

And HCS can create on Loyalty Page like:

"Days logged in on a row: 3/5"

Very easy to follow, easy to make people return to the game, and do not benefit old players more than newbies.

Do a poll. But I agree with Par on this. I play other games where the loyalty accumulates to a certain cap and stays there until you miss a day. Frankly, that does not change my play and if I tire of the game, 1,000 tokens wouldn't keep me. This award definitely favors those that are already addicted ( such as myself). I think the cows should prioritize there limited but awesome resources to other areas mainly getting new players hooked and fixing some of the nagging issues (get mentoring working and hook up new players to our awesome welcoming committee, minimize gvg farming of new players, ladder fix, etc).

Way back when, a couple polls were done asking players what they love about the game and keeps them coming back. Those are the things that should be focused on.

My 2 cents.

Anyone who's been playing more than 2 yrs, as the original suggestion stands ...

and those playing 5 or more, the most ...

A minority of the game? WOW you think this game is all made up of new people and the majority of players are new to the game by a year. I see now where your flaw is coming. What is wrong with the activity on Fallensword is the lack on ongoing players that play for more than a year or two.

That is exactly the reason this was suggested. To keep people interested and wanting to play by rewarding them for their loyality to the game.

Go look at the levels from 100-300...see how far a player can jump in 100 levels and you will see exactly what is lacking in the fallensword community. It's an ongoing player base where long serving members want to keep playing. All this is is a suggestion to keep people wanting to keep playing and logging in. An incentive to want to keep playing the game. I have said my point. I am not posting anymore in here.

I dont need to keep justifying myself. I just hope the cows actually look past all the putting down of others ideas just because they don't see the merit and see the merit in it themselves. If they don't, it would be good to hear their thoughts on the suggestions.

Maybe it then begins from the time of implementation.

But anyway, the ones who play 5 years may stop. And the ones playing 2 years may continue.

But yeah, the solution then might be to start counting from day of implementation.

Now there, I could agree - albeit I'm not sure the game will still be around in another 5 years :).

Seeing how the loyalty award potions are not a necessity, I see no need for this to be implemented.

This idea may be a necessity later, I really couldn't tell you, but seeing as it's not right now I see no point in implementing it.

my loyalty would be better pursued not by giving me more free stuff, but by an improvement of the product itself

I would be more loyal to a restaurant that had epic food and service

than one with bad food and service...but gave me free  "all you can eat" bread sticks

I will say +1 to Iceman not because I am in his Guild or something.....

I just joined a few weeks ago and I see a Light Foot 1250 pot as a dream that I can get only twice a year. I think you guys can come to an agreement on the system on Loyalty Tokens. But yes, 5 per day it way too less of the cost of the potion is way too high.

Cheers!
