Not broken. From the buff description : Stolen Buff casts next combat and replaces itself if already active (excludes Relic Combat)

Guess I'm adding this one to the blocked buffs list. Cheers.

Defender can't use it at all.
And the attacker, if using higher level buffs, can basically shoot themselves in the foot with Spell Leech. Mind you, usually higher-than-175 buffs usually involve getting potions via Donation Chests, Composing, or Event Chests, all of which are limited resources to most players.
I (we) were of the understanding that Spell Leech was *only* to take buffs that were the same level or higher than that of your buffs (as the attacker). If it worked this way, it would make more sense.
The way it works now, this buff is as situational as the Balanced Buffs or as counterproductive as Invert can be. In a game where most (PvP) combat usually has potions used to some degree, this buff just doesn't sound useful to me. In its current state, as mentioned before, it's just another buff to rarely (never) use when potions are online as an attacker.

Um...that was the way it was originally implemented but it was corrected shortly after that so the lower level did not replace the higher level. Apparently, all the tinkering has undone that as well. *SIGH*

Ya I think Yotes right, I thought it was changed.

just like global booster magically started to work like doubler but with out the gained exp just the stamina usage. i have tried with every global booster from level 50-200 in Loyalty Rewards and GB 500 from composting with same effect. on normal creatures under level 25 so i did not accidental hit a global creature also on Zachorzi the Plagued takes 11 stam on 1 hit with GB 500 on..if anyone has GB on try hitting normal creature and see if its taking stam like doubler please or if it just me.

I'm not understanding what you're saying here....
Global booster is designed to use the stam whether it's used on globals or anything else. It is also not designed to double any XP on anything. If you aren't hunting globals, why are you running it?

the global booster has been behaving that way for a long time(at least a year if not more), many have realised quite quickly when forgetting to take off the level 1500 pot in particular that their stam gets drained even when hitting regular non globals
Of course it shouldn't affect anything that isn't "Global". Bad if it is designed that way but...
Titan doubler doesn't have this behaviour, it only applies on titans, you can be safe knowing you won't be wasting stam if you have the skill active (whilst waiting for a titan maybe) and go hit some regular creatures. Same should apply for the global booster, maybe it's broken, maybe it was designed like that, in any case remember to remove it once you've got your kills done.

For as long as I have been playing this game and participating in the global events, I have used the GB200. During this last event while qualifying I broke my kill streak by hitting things not part of the event. *ah well, my mistake* I lost some experience and a bit of gold, that is the way it has always been. Using a regular doubler during a GE, burned my stam way to fast and those few times I did that, I had to work the event twice to qualify. The GB200 is as big a booster as I need because it gives the most bang for my stam. I have not seen any big difference in any area, even the greed is in its place.

As for the OP, BG says code has not been touched, ok
Maybe Mandela Effect but I seem to remember the spell leech description explicitly mention that the buff stolen will not replace a higher level one already active, anyone else? even if it stole the same level buff it didn't replace the already active buff with half the time as I remember it. EDIT: from reading all the posts it seems everyone clearly knows how it used to work, yote points it was "fixed" not to replace a higher with a lower - this would have surely been in the buff description but is no longer there now.
How it works now according to the description makes it a double edged sword if you are using high level pots yourself, personally I have no problem with that, why would someone want to leech someone else's buffs if they are running higher versions than the opponent? stick to just spell breaker if you want to remove their buffs. Now this make the Spell Leech 250 pretty much useless I know. That's my opinion but the common sense approach would of course be for it to only steal buffs that you don't have already or are better than what you currently have, which is how many of us believed it used to work up until recently??

As stated and as the skill itself says, it's not broken.
I will discuss possible changes based off of constructive feedback.
