Chat mods are just yet another waste of dev time, implementing and finding the right people for. That time could be spent on useful updates.

 

There is an ignore button.

 

There is a chat filter.

 

There is an off button on your computer if you intend on being butt-hurt by words written over the internet.

If this was a 18 and up game i would agree with you. but a parent can actually by european laws Sue hcs to bankrupcy if they dont take care of that.

 

Of course not that i care much, i sometimes say my F**** and the sort.

HCS have taken care of the problem, there is an ignore button and a chat filter. If the player is too stupid to not use these and becomes a butthurt mess over minor insults like "hoe", "nerd" etc then that's their fault.

 

If there's an extreme case of someone making accounts over and over to spam things such as "get cancer" or 'worse language' then you just send a ticket in.

He doesn't have the intelligence to actually comprehend internet laws..his actions in the past speak that loud and clear.

guess what X D tos doesn't evade internet laws how it is written,and legal actions can be taken against them for not securing their service..derp derp.

1) when supplying a service their a set of rules that are applied.
2) when its over the internet for most part it can be more lenient,but legal actions can be taken towards the service provider IF they have the knowledge of the actions illegally against IN laws ans TOS and do not provide the additive service from the effective given from the report/ticket features. (like you for example neon if I should choose to I could legally go after you in many ways right now harassment,slander,CBS..this list goes on with your Ip tracked,evidence made even your home address known and city ) 
3)Chat mods are needed or they need to greatly extend their staff number,because without chat being properly maintained...they can be held responsible just as much as the person committing.
4)chat mods save the devs time...read a mod ticket showing proof and reasoning why a person got muted...vs's reading a ticket/report then having to go back through logs stamped by them to view evidence from a smaller scale.

The point stands, if you're too much of an idiot to realise you can ignore people you should consider leaving the internet and take up some form of primal activity, like.. juggling some rocks.

No but I see you're too much of an idiot to realize that just because its the internet doesn't mean you aren't held accountable for your actions. Good day sir you made my point....

Getting back on topic ...

 

1)devs aren't on for 75-80% of the time(so they can't review your report or ticket if they aren't on)
2)reports are exactly like a ticket...it will just sit there and wait to be seen for a week maybe 2 or 3...depending on the focus on HCS of the current week.
3)report button only time stamps the chat or time of the server for them to have easier access to find the report,it doesn't make the process faster at all.
4) doesn't help one bit in the current problem of the community this just causes too much leniency for people to cause more problems.

this could be abused very much though..especially once this game takes off,infact this would be more abusing then a chat mod,where as multiple reports from 1 incident= multiple marks instead of 1 mark from 1 individual.
