I probably should have clarified- yes- this. I agree, I see you posting and I have to imagine you're one of the higher leveled composers in the game- it would not be fair for you to essentially lose 10 levels of progress.

At level 1, there should be two slots, at ten there should be three, at twenty four... etc.

I'm not proposing to take away anyone's hard work or diminish current level value- high level composers have paid in gold and time and should not be punished- I just think this would be a way to throw another spark into the game!

I fully agreed with your first post on the topic of a level 1 Composer starting out with 2 slots to enable them to get to make relevant potions more quickly but I disagree with your addendum to your initial post referenced above.  I agree with the current structure of potion making and the allocated slots based on Composing levels.  To move off topic I'm not a fan of "traveling composers" but it's to late to close that loophole but I do think a 7 day cooling off period should be instituted.

In reference to the glut of composing fragments and the collapse of the fragmenting market that can easily be solved by having less global frag events.  Players ask for more frag events then complain about the glut of frags and propose a solution to increase the number of composing slots to dry up the frags.  It appears to be a back door to making composing easier,  create a glut and then make suggestions that ultimately undermine the hard work of the initial composers by making Composing much easier.  Not a fan of that idea.  Solution to the problem is less frag events and an altered composition to the global frag chests, less commons and rares more Crystalline and SE fragments. This  will bring back the secondary market for item selling for Common and Rare frags that lower level players can use to gather FSP's.

In case you were wondering I'm at level 38 Composing, just plodding along with 6 common frag composed pots, so not a high level Composer protecting his turf.

No to adding another pot slot... i must admit i would have liked having 2 at the beginning also.  Composing is not broken let it be.... and no I am not a high level composer trying to keep my position secure

Nobody was saying that it was broken, more of trying to help new players feel that they bring something to the table as they begin playing the game and start learning the finer points of playing. A sense of accomplishment is a wonderful thing and as such makes the new player much more willing to explore other aspects of the game instead of becoming frustrated and finally quitting before really giving the game a fair shot. Personally I think being able to stream through the early levels of composing would be a great motivation to bring and keep new blood in the game.

True, a sense of accomplishment is nice... just think how much more of a sense of accomplishment they will feel having gained levels with one slot and not two.... Man, I am really feeling good about myself helping them "new players" out on this.  biggrin.png

I always love to see upper level players so concerned for new players, I automatically know there is no personnel gain from it.  wub.png

One at the start is good enough.. You learn and grow with experience to be able to brew more later on..

Adding another potion slot at level five would be something that makes sense.. But not at the start..

they could be assigned under the characther's upgrades..

Yes an additional space would be nice. I don't give a frick about traveling composers, let them be! Don't like them, then don't use them. Its that simple.

I still buy common and rare frags almost every day. So there must still be demand.  I farm my own unique, and try and buy LE and crystal when they are available.

Global frag events are not over powered. At my current guild composing rate I use 600ish per week. So that 2k from ruby and top 100  plus the extra chest they gave us, covers my LE frags for about 3-4 weeks. I am pretty sure they don't come out monthly.   And if I was level 60 I am pretty sure my totals would be higher.

I'd love an additional potion slot. Nothing else needs to be said, as it's been repeated over and over.

I have 3 players who faithfully send me items to frag every day. Hundreds a day, in fact. Enough that I actually gain frags on a daily basis, even after I compose hourly. All I'm saying here is, the "shortage" of frags doesn't really hit me like it must for a few others. I guess I'm fortunate.

Also, I'm in a big guild, with high level composers. I get a message every week telling me who they are. I like it that way. One message a week is plenty, unless you're the chick from "50 first dates". I don't need any more reminders than that. I've been encouraged to send mass messages in this guild about random things, but I choose not to, because I don't want to be an annoyance, and because I already get one about composing. It's nice that I have that option, though. It's gotta be terrible to not be allowed to send them. Awful, even. I feel bad for those who can't. They must have done something pretty bad to lose that ability, I would guess.

Players should start level 1 being allowed to make 2 potions at a time. There after it should increase by one every 10 levels, as it is now. There mustn't be any cap on the number of potions that can be created.

Composing & all that goes with it is fine as it is. Seems to me, there's bigger fish to fry... If adding another slot in the beginning is adopted, everyone who is beyond that level should get the extra as well.

An friend of mine told me to have an look on this thread, and lol never imagined sth like that would have such an great discussion.

I have just made an quick read in some comments here, but maybe enought to know what is being discussed from most players here and I'll also have an word about what I think about it considering what already have being said here.

As composing really takes a long time to progress I totally understand above the majority would like more slots (I would not find it any bad if it increases) but as composing is already for a long time with this amount of slots increasing every 10 levels, the players which already are composers +40 would feel bad for making such an efford to go that high and than after so much months their efford to log to create exp pots will be less valued (if it was already with more slots in the few months after it was reliesed all ok, but looking at this way, they would be level +50 by now, making an comparision if it was done close to the beginning). In the other hand, above 75% of high level composers are within level 45~55 range and would feel more fair it if an extra slot be added it were on level 50 instead (so all players, will get that advantage in time).

When the concept of composing came to the game it was first mainly to make itens more "useful" (by making good potions) when they were not needed, and this recycling project began also providing the possibility to make players to create buffs stronger than normal casted skills. And still before implementing it I remembers also was said sth about guild tagging on pots so it would help players within the guild (as it was developed to make the guild stronger together), and I totally agree with it, that's why I'm for adding an 7 days cooldown (on tagged composing potion) if you change guild [guild tagged composing potion shows, cooperation between composer, that had spent an lot of time to progress on it and really deserves to do not receive any sort of punishement on his/her composing level, and guild members; I also see composing as an personal achievement but as I stated before: the tagged composing potions helps as an cooperation within the guild so the 7 days cooldown on tagged potion is fine by me]

And we see the comunity have an great diversification of players with different time available to really play the game and/or at least log pretty fast on mobile (for example) to make some exp composing pots, so there will never be an real agreement on the amount of frags granted on global frag events; low level composers will say it grant a lot frags (because they only make 1 or 2 pots with 20 exp, spending 6 or 12 common frags per time making pots) while higher level composer will say it gives to little amount of frags (making 5 pots with 30 exp for example spends 120 common frags per time) [I myself need to waste entire hunts sometimes to just farm common frags to keep composing even doing all global frag events].  On this case my humble opinion about that it to follow the common sense after checking if the amount of frags granted on that global was fine or not to the majority of the comunity and after that try to come up with and expectation on the comunity progress on composing so to increase it a bit as players levels up on composing (because they will spend more frags; this is not an static view of the subject it is dynamic it follows the flow as player keep composing).

Please excuse me for bad grammar (I don't speak english well).

Actually Grimm there were a few good ideas about composed potions being tied into guild loyalty that you removed that you shouldn't have.

We have no intention of tying composing to Guild Loyalty, and it was off-topic, thus removed.

I guess I'll resummarize them then..basically it was to tie guild loyalty medals into composing.

As your guild loyalty medal increases you'd be given the ability to then create guild tagged pots, one per medal..

At bronze you'd be able to use one of your availiable slots to make a guild potion, silver would open two, gold three and then at diamond you'd be able to use your 6 slots(if you had them availiable from your composing level) to make guild only pots

Otherwise you'd be only able to make self-bound pots. This would promote the idea of guild loyalty and put a slow down on this guild hopping stuff that's been going on.

Also toyed with the idea of a & day cooldown between leaving and rejoining anoither guild whereas you would have to ber a member of whatever guild for at least 7 days before you could make guild only pots.

edit:posted this as grim did, no surprise my idea was shot down

Another one would make it less of a headache for those starting out. And it's still available to those who are currently maxed or close to max level composing.
